Initial visit: After not having my eyes checked in over a year, and return back here for my check up and to order more contacts. The staff here are amazing! They're very attentive and the answer all your questions in a patient manner. They not only look out for your best interest, but they also remember what you've previously asked and remind you of your questions. I initially came in to see if I could make an appointment to get my eyes checked, but to my wonderful surprise, they took me in right away and I saw the eye doctor on the same visit. The eye doctor gave great suggestions and was very honest and telling me exactly what I needed and not needed. I appreciate the honesty. I was told to come back after they ordered a pair of contacts for me to try on before they order the years' worth. I like that service! Coming back to pick up the try on contacts: The service and the doctors here are amazing. The front desk lady, secretary, has my contacts ready right as I walked in. She remembered my name and what was ordered for me; Even after not having seen me in over a few weeks! Also before that, she even remembered me from last year! It makes a customer feel quite special when they remember you and it makes the process much easier. Nice office. The ladies at the counter are not so much outwardly friendly right away, but they're actually really nice and super helpful! The doctor is super cool. Very thorough and was patient with me during the exam when i asked him to switch back and forth a billion times. I've gone back to get some lenses placed into vintage frames i bought online. They were done in 15 minutes! Amazing. Only $60 for the lenses and they're anti-glare. Will be coming in for lens replacement from now on. I have been a loyal customer throughout the pandemic and have purchased several expensive eyewear, also have referred several family members. My last purchase the prescription was not correct it was too strong and couldn't adjust to it. I asked to get rechecked but with my schedule and their odd and limited hours it was difficult to see eye Dr. Receptionist who has never been welcoming to begin with, asked me to take my business somewhere else because I don't live close. She has always treated me like she was doing me a favor. I will go to another optometrist. I tried to support a local business but I think I will try a chain like Warby Parker, they are very reasonable and have a much better selection to choose from. read more

Myself and my family had our eye appointments today. We had made the appointment a couple of weeks prior really easily. Today we seen Dr. Linda and she was great. We all loved how sweet and very detailed she is. Also loved her sense of humor. She was so personable. The staff was just as amazing. They explained everything when it came down to what our insurance covered, pricing, etc. And may I add the office is taking covid precautions so only a certain amount of people are allowed inside at a time. It's fairly new. The doctor is very nice and patient. The service is excellent, from the front desk to the doctor. Everyone is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I particularly like the Korean glasses they offer since these are trendy now amongst Korean TV stars and models. So I bought a couple of pairs of these. The Korean glasses are of large plastic frames with larger nose pad area. I received quite a number of compliments on these. I have difficulty with reading and working in front of the monitors. She was also very patient, trying to help me find a brand of contact lenses that suits my eyes. My husband is very satisfied with his glasses as well. The previous optometrist convinced him to get two pairs: one of computer and one for reading but it is a kind of bothersome in real life as you have to switch between glasses. However, Dr. Luong prescribed a two in one glasses for my husband, allowing him to read and look at screens in one pair of glasses. They explain their test results almost like an ophthalmologist. Impressive. Count on waiting more than half an hour for your scheduled appointment. That's what happens when doctors take time to answer your questions. It's a great thing when it's your turn, so have patience, too. Billing receptionists are forthright with you in quoting what your Vision benefits allow. No surprises. If you're wanting brand name eyeglasses or sunglasses, this would not be the place to go. So my wife is here again taking her time finding the right glasses. My insurance pays for glasses too but I'm only slightly nearsighted and don't really need glasses. The helpful staff asked me if I work on the computer and I do. They suggested for me to get some computer glasses. I got them even though i didnt think it would be much help, but I might as well use it or else I'll lose it. Boy was I wrong.... the glasses made a world of difference. I use to have to take breaks every hour but now with these blue light blocking lenses I can last till lunch time. My eyes could probably last longer but my stomach won't let me! New pro tip: call and make an appt. There are days when they have an absolutely full booking (when I was there for my appt) and there are other days when they do not have a Dr on site (when I went to pick up my glasses). read more

So Dr. Hsu opened up a brand new shop at this West Covina office. I just recently went for my yearly check-up. Per my other review on his other office, the service is top notch. The store is beautifully designed and the location is awesome! The selection of glasses and sunglasses is ENDLESS and the carry the latest styles. I love the fact that Dr. Hsu is great with children.
