Now it's not his fault that the part I needed for my 20+ year old dryer (that I payed $75 for) was about $200. My fridge took a dump and I needed someone to come out. I tried using best buy geek squad but they were giving me a runaround on schedule you had to be available from 7am-7pm (ridiculous). So I called ace appliance and Carlos came to the house and did the diagnostic quickly and professionally. I would say this is by far the best service! I did call several places to come and check my fridge and they were all overpriced just to come check it. Ace Appliance has reasonable prices and they are brutally honest with you about what's wrong with your appliance. If it's not worth fixing it, Carlos will let you know. Why is it that appliances always break on the weekends and holidays? Yesterday I woke up to a flood in my kitchen because my refrigerator decided to stop cooling. I am somewhat new to the area so I decided to get on Yelp and see who is the best appliance repair person in the area. I called 5 companies with four to five stars and Ace Appliance Repair was the only one that answered the telephone. As a matter of fact, they were the only company to have a live person answer the telephone and actually make an appointment. It is 24 hours later and I still have not heard from any of the other four and five star Yelp companies listed as appliance repair places in Diamond Bar. Meanwhile, the gentleman from Ace Appliance Repair squeeze me into his schedule and came out and fixed my refrigerator a few hours later. Now, I would have thought that he would have to order a part because it was the compressor that had broken in my fridge., he actually had one in the truck and was able to fix it on the spot. This morning I woke up to cold milk and frozen food and a disaster averted because I really didn't want to throw away all of the food that we had stored. Ace Appliance Repair saved the day. I am glad I found this company on yelp. They are fantastic. Small company but honest fast service. I had an issue with dryer not spinning and needed a repair completed as soon as possible. I contacted Ace at 12:30pm after calling several other places that did not answer my call, return my call, or tell me I was not in their area. I explained my problem and they said they would be here between 2-5pm. I agreed since I needed this completed as soon as possible. The repair person Carlos arrived at 1:50pm and repaired my dryer in about 30 minutes. He informed me that a previous repair made by another company earlier this year was the issue. I was really happy with the service. The fact they came to repair my dryer in a timely manner and had the part needed is a big plus. Ace appliance and repair has been by far the best appliance service I have ever used. He came this Sunday and I was not even expecting him to come until Monday or next business day! I had already dismantled my own washing machine (digital panel duet whirlpool) and did the general troubleshooting myself. So when he came and told me the error code was the motor I had know that it needed that part and what he was saying to be truthful. As a female sometimes people try and rake you over for extra costs due to your lack of knowledge on things. He was honest, fair and respectful. Also gave me pointers on maintenance. The ice maker in my 2007 LG three door refrigerator/freezer was leaking, so I called Ace Appliance, since their ad stated they did repairs on LG's. I confirmed this by asking if they did repairs on LG refrigerators, and they assured me they could fix my LG ice maker . The repair man showed up, looked at my refrigerator and stated how LG's were made in Korea, and were always breaking and said he couldn't fix it. The service man never offered to find a replacement part in the ice maker, purchased another ice maker or make any suggestion what-so-ever to fix my leaking ice maker. He stayed 8 minutes and then gave me a bill! All he wanted was his $30.00 for a service call. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I would never use them again and I do not recommend them read more

I just had an excellent experience with Ace Appliance. Our washing machine had stalled mid-cycle and would not drain. After having done as much trouble shooting as I could on my own, I called Ace Appliances. I was worried that given it was a Saturday on a holiday weekend that I wouldn't have much luck finding someone to come help. Happily, I was mistaken about that as Ace Appliance got back to me within an hour and scheduled an appointment window later in the day. Further to my surprise is that they showed up right at the opening of that window, diagnosed the issue (broken pump), and fixed it within 40 minutes for a very reasonable price. Well Ace came thru again. In October Ace Appliance Repair got my 20 year old dryer working by replacing a part that makes the dryer get hot. He had the part on his truck and icy dryer was fixed in about 20 mins. Last night my dryer wasn't heating again. I was thinking time for a new dryer but I thought I'll call Ace again maybe he can fix it. I called and got a same day appointment for 12, Ace came out at 11 and discovered the problem right away. no air flow at the outside vent. Impossible I said I just replace the vent hose from the dryer to the wall (the old one had a hole worn in it). The vent hose attached to a solid vent line that runs under the HVAC and water heater before exiting out the side of my house. Boy was I surprised when Ace blew out the vent line with a blower and I got about 3 lbs of lint or about a medium wastebasket full. I think it was lint sediment that had settled in the vent line over 36 years and replacing the flexible hose with a new semi ridged hose had blown all the lint into a big ball blocking the outlet. read more
