I gave him quite a difficult task: find a vehicle with less than 14,000 miles for only $10,000. This wasn't the "difficult" part of the task, however. I also instructed the gentleman to find a car with heated, massaging seats and a trunk large enough to store my sousaphone. In only 2 days, I received a call back, and I am now the proud owner of a 2015 Volvo XC60. The vehicle met all of my needs, and although the seats lacked massage capabilities, the gentleman gave me a $10 Tokyo Soul coupon and a free horseback riding lesson at Tanglewood. Every employee I encountered at ABV treated me with respect and dignity, unlike that jerk William Fuccillo. At Fuccillo's, I was told that no vehicle matched my requests, and it was suggested that I "look elsewhere." And so I did... ABV is my first choice for all future vehicle purchases and repairs. Two days after waiting 2.5 hours instead of the estimated one hour and paying over $500, we discovered that the inspection was never completed. When I called, Michael offered a half-hearted apology and told us to return and wait another hour. I explained that we do not have another car and could not spend another hour waiting for a service that should already have been completed. When I said I would leave a bad review, he hung up on me. Failing to complete a service that was requested and confirmed multiple times was unacceptable. Hanging up when I raised the issue made the experience worse. I would not trust him or Friendly Honda to follow through on an appointment or handle a mistake professionally.

Since Syracuse was the next major community, we Googled "Honda Service." The first business to appear was "Honda City." We contacted them in hopes of getting in early on a Tuesday morning: no luck. Fortunately, they recommended Lamacchia Honda. We called them just past 0800 Tuesday. "Is there any chance we could get in mid-morning?" "Absolutely!!" We arrived shortly after 1000, and were whisked right past the queue of waiting vehicles. [Background: the A/C had been serviced in May in EAU for low Freon. When they recharged the system, they added a dye which would be a tell-tale in the event the system was still leaking.] The first report we got was there was no leak: now they were going to do a system diagnostic. (Lordie, my wallet had a $$$ contraction!!) After a brief interlude, the service manager came to us and said, "All done; you're good to go." It turns out that the A/C's compressor's clutch relay had failed. [Why does this sound like replacing a remote relay on the International Space Station?!?] Bottom line: We were in the dealership under two hours and the bill was actually reasonable! We were treated like VIPs and traveled in air-conditioned comfort on the rest of our trip! Very Highly Recommended!!
