    I got in for a normal oil/tire service right on time, and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. They even washed my car!

You hear Volvo ads all the time promoting their 'upgradeable to 10 year VIP warranty' but I am here to tell you, it is only talk. Blahblahblah is all I got. My wife bought a loaded 2020 Volvo S60 AWD T6 Inscription, Polestar tuned car, in Jan of 2021. Certified with 3,500 miles off corporate lease, it had a five year VIP warranty. However, the warranty Expired Oct 15, 2024 as that was that was 5 years from the 'in service date;' yet neither Volvo nor the servicing dealer here in town Alan Byer Volvo, ever gave us notice of expiration nor an offer to renew, which we would have willingly done. Thinking about it running out soon, I reached out at the end of Oct. and was originally told OK. A week later I got a revised email saying: 'sorry, two weeks too late' to renew the warranty on her 24,000 mile car with no accidents, incidents or missed service appointments. Volvo corporate in turn referred me Back to Alan Byer. What nonsense. So now any interest we had in a 2025 or 2026 Recharge or XC upgrade has now become a Tesla, Audi or Lexus search. After owning maybe a dozen Volvos over my life, this will be our last. In researching this issue, I discovered Volvo is now owned by the Chinese Geely Holding Group. Shame what their fine name has become.

I believe in second chances and gave Alan Byer another opportunity to win my business. After speaking with employees of Alan Byer, my son and I took another drive to Syracuse and test drove a vehicle that would become 'the car'. After driving several, after I got into the one I purchased, I knew it was the SUV for me. The comfort, the smoothness of the vehicle (being someone on the road a lot, this is important), and the safety ratings (of course safety first). The XC60 is amazing. Still figuring out the semantics as my car 'slammed its brakes on' as I was backing into my garage - still figuring out the bells and whistles of the car, but I can work with that. It's a tight squeeze in the garage next to my husband's truck, so nice to know the vehicle is adverse to tight spots. However, it does fit in the garage and just working through the tecchy features of the car. Any way, the vehicle is amazing, Alan Byer was easy to work with. Staff was great from Jackie, Stephen, Deb, etc.

    We were eastbound from Western Wisconsin to Eastern Massachusetts when our 2008 Odyssey's A/C…read morestopped working on the hottest day of the road trip. Since Syracuse was the next major community, we Googled "Honda Service." The first business to appear was "Honda City." We contacted them in hopes of getting in early on a Tuesday morning: no luck. Fortunately, they recommended Lamacchia Honda. We called them just past 0800 Tuesday. "Is there any chance we could get in mid-morning?" "Absolutely!!" We arrived shortly after 1000, and were whisked right past the queue of waiting vehicles. [Background: the A/C had been serviced in May in EAU for low Freon. When they recharged the system, they added a dye which would be a tell-tale in the event the system was still leaking.] The first report we got was there was no leak: now they were going to do a system diagnostic. (Lordie, my wallet had a $$$ contraction!!) After a brief interlude, the service manager came to us and said, "All done; you're good to go." It turns out that the A/C's compressor's clutch relay had failed. [Why does this sound like replacing a remote relay on the International Space Station?!?] Bottom line: We were in the dealership under two hours and the bill was actually reasonable! We were treated like VIPs and traveled in air-conditioned comfort on the rest of our trip! Very Highly Recommended!!

I almost feel that they "manufactured" the issue because they knew it was a corporate vehicle and because we needed it, so, we had to pay that exorbitant repair bill. Ugghhhhh! They will never see our vehicle again If I could do a minus star I would instead of giving them the benefit of a single star - which they don't deserve.

That long-standing trust is exactly why we turned to them again during a stressful and unexpected situation. Earlier this year, we had the engine replaced on our 2014 Crosstrek at a dealership in North Carolina. Unfortunately, we never received the full picture regarding the true condition of the vehicle. After returning to that dealership twice with ongoing issues after the engine replacement, we ultimately decided--just before Christmas--to drive back home to CNY to get a second opinion from Romano Subaru. That decision made all the difference. Romano's team was honest and thorough in diagnosing the vehicle, and it became clear that the Crosstrek was no longer worth repairing. As a result, we ended up purchasing a 2025 Impreza, and we could not be happier with both the vehicle and the experience. We want to sincerely thank Dave Romano, Mark Richardson, Ryan Collins, and Karli Tirado for going above and beyond for our family. Dave worked hard to get us the best possible deal, especially considering this was an unexpected purchase during the holiday season. Mark was fantastic on the sales side and made the process smooth, even helping coordinate registration for Texas. Ryan was outstanding in service--he was transparent about the condition of our Crosstrek and worked directly with Subaru Corporate on our behalf. Karli worked tirelessly to ensure our registration and plates were handled efficiently and correctly.     DO NOT use their service department. My vehicle has been back their 4 times for the same issue. I…read morewas told after the third my brakes were going to be replaced under warranty. Welp, that was a lie. I was told by the service manager that "things were missed"and the issue was with the caliper. Now they are saying they are not replacing my brakes but I should have it done before fall. IT SHOULD NOT NEED BRAKES WITH 22k ON IT! On top of that, they said I have abnormal rust on the rocker panel and want me to pay $1200 to have it fixed. NYS Attorney General and BBB, here I come. I will be taking my car elsewhere because seems to me their mechanics have no idea what they are talking about and their warranty department is a total joke. This is my third and FINAL Subaru all because of Romanos Service Department. If you want to be a good Manager, integrity is everything so don't go back on your word. I called today 06/25 to talk to their Service Manager Rick. Left him a message but no call back, very professional. If you decide to go here, DO NOT put your trust in Ryan total liar and a fake. Ended up trading the car in and thank you Romano for inspiring me to go with Honda after having three Subarus.
