Just left ACE tire on Morningstar rd. It was so nice not to be ripped off or to be told that things on my car needed to be repaired or replaced when actually they did not Pep Boys failed me brakes on my yearly inspection, told me it would be approximately $700 for new brakes I went for the second opinion where I should've went the first time , over to Ace discount tires on MorningStar Road spoke with Greg. He checked my tires, my brakes and passed inspection. Norip off,no problem,no lying. . Been to him many times, have no clue why I do not know why I didn't go to him first, this time but never again will I make that mistake. read more

Had a slow leak in one of my car tires yet again and stopped in Ace Discount Tires about 30 minutes before they were closing. Thinking they were going to turn me away, the mechanic got me in no time and re-sealed my tire which stopped the slow leak for only $20! Once again Ace pulls through! Very nasty attitude here. As soon as I came in I was approached by I guess was the owner he asked what I wanted I said " I wanted my tire fixed back left. He said " well the worker said you need to fix the one on the back right" I said how he knows " he said my guy is very good with tires mind you I only was there maximum two minutes. I then had to wait about ten minutes, to burn time I started cleaning out my trunk because it was a little messy. The worker then instructed me that he can't fix it until I close the trunk and go in the waiting room I said " no I'll wait right here behind the line. As you can see a lady is right next to me with her car jacked up as the owner is clearly in front of her. I asked what's up with that he looks at me with the stupid face. My guess is either gender or skin tone I will never ever go here again or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Unlucky for me, I got two nails in two tires on two separate vehicles for two weeks in a row. Do bad things come in two's? Anyway, Ace is very close to the Bayonne Bridge project I am working on and called them to see if they could get me in for a patch to the tire. "Come right in", they said. I did, and on each occasion I was out in ten or fifteen minutes. For a few bucks the nails were gone and I had piece of mind again. The gentlemen there were all courteous and friendly and took no time to get straight to work. Kudos for providing a great, reliable, and valuable service in the area. read more

My daughter came over the bridge from Jersey and was told at the toll her tire needed to be fixed. She pulled off the highway and saw there was a tire shop right there. She called me and I told her get it fixed or get a new one what ever she needs get it done. She called back 10 minutes later and said she was told the tire was still in good condition and would last the rest of the winter. They fixed the flat and she was on her way. Because of their honesty I sent my son there for four used tires. We could not be happier with the tires they sold him and put on his older car. $180 for 4 matching tires that are just like new. read more

I was having a flat fixed at my regular repair shop just before I was preparing to drive to Florida. They noticed that most of the tread was gone and the tires needed to be replaced before I drove the 2000 mile trip. I found Ace Discount and headed over there for a set of decent used tires since my lease was going to be up shortly after my trip. When I arrived, someone came over quickly to help me, and showed me the tires they had in stock for my car. I mentioned that I was making a long road trip and he told me that the used tires they had were probably not good enough for such a long trip, and I should consider new ones. I never once felt pressured or that they were trying to up-sell me, just giving me an honest opinion (my father, my usual "car guy", agreed). They helped me find the most inexpensive new tires to make the trip and finish off my lease, called me the next day when they arrived (they ordered and shipped within a day), and installed them as soon as I drove over. They checked in with me constantly to let me know how the progress was going, and worked quickly. Great prices and great service, I will definitely return. read more
