I went in to the store 2 min prior to the store to be closed , looking for a hose to fix the water leak I have at home and one of the employees is fallowing me just reminding me that the store will be closed in 2 min , instead of asking me what did I need help with , sorry but not shopping in that store ever again , I go in 2-3 times a week to shop but not no more. Ace manager you need to give some classes of how to take care of a customer in what they need help not on kick in them out , terrible service with this young employees. read more

Quick and simple~ I drove up 5 minutes before closing time, confirmed they were still open, which they were, then they kindly asked if I knew what I needed (obviously some folks like to browse...) and I knew exactly what I needed. I was in and out within 3 minutes or so when another consumer pulled up, got out of his truck and asked the employee standing at the exit door if they were still open, the guy says "yes, do you know what you're looking for?" the guy says "yes" and they allowed him in. I appreciate and respect the businesses who close when their posted business hours say they close; too many employees are taking it upon themselves to close early and that to Me just seems unacceptable! Thanks to the staff at ACE who work with pride and diligence while complying with company policy. I was in too much of a rush to get any employee names but I felt the need to take a few minutes of My time to post this immediately after My experience so the team who worked tonight could get some recognition. Wife just went in there to grab something for me, and the kid working the door told her to leave her purse with him. She said there were multiple other women in the store with their purses... what the hell kind of deal is this? Why did he single out my wife? I've had them birddog me in there nearly every time I go in, like I'm some kind of thief! Im a 47 year old man, business owner, and respectable member of the community. I have some, visible tattoos and long hair, but damn.. talk about making someone feel unwelcome. My wife was flabbergasted that he singled her out as well. I understand they are trying to protect themselves from shrink. I've managed multiple retail businesses in my lifetime and I get it, but this is ridiculous. He wants to hold a woman's purse?? Either apply your policy to everyone or don't apply it at all! I bought a house right up the street from this place and I hardly ever go there because their shopping experience SUCKS!! They even have isles they won't let you go down unless you are basically escorted by their workers.. WTF??? I feel rushed to just get what I want and get out because it's such a weird vibe. I end up at Lowe's or Depot 99% of the time and to say that their staff is better is really pathetic. I was in Ace Hardware today checked out at 11:54 a.m. 08/10/20 , and the checker that checked me out her name was Mikayla. I have always had great customer service all the years I have been shopping at Ace Hardware. With a nice greeting when walking into the store or walking away from the register. This associate Mikayla was one of the Rudest workers I had ever encountered, At Ace hardware. I could expect this at a Walmart but not here at ACE. Ace is supposed to be the place. Especially when I am here supporting our small bussiness at the time. I'm sure I will be back to this store again. And I always remeber associates. Hopefully her attitude will change for the better on my next visit. read more

Ordered a key from Chevy,took it to ace to have them cut it the manager cut it and ruined it because he wasn't trained on how to cut a sidewinder key so he told me sorry we are not responsible for damaging keys but he did offer to sell me a new one and keep on practicing to see if he could get it right, so don't get your keys cut there, if you are not trained to do a job you shouldn't do it, and please tell your customers that if you damage it you won't take responsibility before you practice on someone's expensive keys!!! S.O.L that's all I got out of the manager!!! read more

AVOID THIS STORE: I normally love ACE but for some reason this store always disappoints me with either customer service, the register clerk always seems like they're having a bad day, or lack of product that online shows it's normally sold by ACE stores . I DO RECOMMEND the 10th st location in Greeley. Walked out happy every time. And their register clerks are always nice and smiling. read more

I've come here and have had really good service multiple times, but the last couple times I've shopped here their helpfulness has crossed the line into me feeling like they don't trust me to not steal. It is not fun to stroll through one of my favorite stores and feel like I'm being followed by more than one employee constantly asking what I need to find in a rushed voice. I run a drilling rig and we are working in the area. We recently had some stuff stolen out of our trucks and trailers so I needed to stock up on tools and supplies. Ace usually has a majority of what I was looking for. I walked in and there was at least 5 employees standing there at the front which I thought was odd, so I proceeded to grabbing a few smaller cheaper items first then I went for the more expensive stuff. They have all their tools from hammers and wrenches to big expensive grinders chained off and you have to get one of these 5+ employees to give you access to the aisles. I do not have a list of what I need I just usually go in and shoot from the hip and see what they have so I wanted to look around. I grabbed a hammer I needed with this employee watching me like a hawk treating me like some criminal watching my every move. I then asked the employee if I could look around the aisle so I could grab stuff as I needed it. He hesitated and couldn't understand why I would want to look around. He then said he would have to be standing there watching me to make sure I didn't steal anything. I left without buying anything and went to Murdoch's where they don't treat their customers like hardcore criminals and spent over $2000 on power tools and hand tools. Thanks Ace! Glad I didn't waste my employer's money at your store! I'm upset I even have to give Ace 1 star! read more
