I've had a problem each time I've tried purchasing from Home Depot in Greeley. The first time was when I preordered online wood precut for my project since I can't cut wood myself. The measurements had to be exact. I go to pick up the wood curbside and it's precut. I take it home to start my project. Some of the wood pieces were NOT cut and some of the pieces were cut the wrong length. Had to take them back to get cut again which was inconvenient but mistakes happen, I guess. Second time which may be my last ordering online. I just wanted to buy some sand bags. Very heavy bags of sand. I wanted them to be brought to my car curb side since that's what they offer with the app. I downloaded the app and went to the store and parked in the curbside spot. I go to the app and I cannot get the app to let me select curbside. Mind you they were in stock and my order was ready. I wanted curbside because I don't want to go in the store or talk to people and I don't want to handle 200lbs or sand. So I cancelled the order and I hope they refund my $20! read more

We went to Home Depot on Saturday in search of a lighting solution because our pet bird likes to sit on the edge of our torch lamp and his tail feathers have been getting scorched because the incandescent bulb gets so hot. We wandered around, trying to figure out what to do. Thought about just replacing the lamp for another kind but the torch light really is the best type for our situation and we were reluctant to get rid of it if we didn't have to. Eventually, we wandered over to the light bulbs, trying to decide if the new fandangled LED bulbs they have out now would work. While we were trying to decide an employee, I think his name was Mike, came up and asked if we needed help. We explained our situation and he said the new LED bulbs would likely suit our needs and he also offered to demonstrate the brightness of the bulb by taking a different bulb out of a display fixture. We were impressed and bought a LED light bulb; it works great and puts off way less heat so I think our problem is solved, thanks to the helpful employee we encountered. read more

The Home Depot usually has what we need for a project and they have a decent selection to choose from for most items. Unfortunately, if you are having trouble finding something or need any help while shopping, that is when you run into trouble. You literally have to walk all over the store trying to find someone who works there to help you and usually when you do find someone, they are trying to assist several customers already so you end up having to wait a while before they can help you. Then a lot of times the response is that they don't have an answer for you or don't know where an item is because they don't work in that department and they say they will have an associate that covers that department come talk to you which leads to more waiting. The employees are usually polite, the store is just understaffed and the employees seem to be overwhelmed. On our most recent visit we needed to have a piece of wood cut and after locating what we wanted and spending another 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us we were told that the guy that worked in the lumber area had 2 other people to help and then they'd send him over to us. We ended up waiting about 40 minutes to have a piece of wood cut. Then we had to wait about another 10 minutes in line to pay because there were not a lot of registers open and there was a bottleneck of people trying to check out, so something that should have taken maybe 15 minutes tops took us about an hour and 15 minutes to accomplish. Adding more employees so we could get the help we need when shopping would change our middle of the road 3 star rating to 5 stars. read more

Got all my pickets picked out and asked the gentleman if they could bring me some better 4x4 sorry to say but they took too long getting the 4 x 4's over there. I just left my cart and got out of the store. They need to do some improvements on cleaning the areas up as well. read more

We bought 4 appliances from this store and had a gas line ran for the new range. They charged us $100 to have the plumber come out and give us an estimate. After they charged us, I had to call 3 times to even get on the plumbers schedule. So our appliances came before the gas line was ran so we couldn't have the range installed even though we paid for that service too. Then they forgot the plug for the range that we purchased and tried to tell us it would take 7 days for someone to get back out here. We are currently evacuating our home (with our small children) for the SECOND time, because their plumber has caused gas leaks TWICE. After spending $6000+ and dealing with all this Home Depot does not care. They haven't offered any compensation or even help in getting a plumber out here in any kind of timely manner. read more

In store review, worse worst store ever for being able to get the parts that I need and to get the help that I need I've been waiting around for like 45 minutes because they supposedly called somebody and I still have yet to see somebody from the power tools department overheard help me. I do not recommend this place for anybody who really really wants to get proper help with their stuff. If I don't get help in the next 5 minutes I will probably leave because I'm tired of waiting around for them to get off their butt stop watching everybody on camera and actually do their job. read more

The home depot in Greeley has almost everything I need. Hours are great and they even have food outside, sometimes. It's a great place but the customer service is not very great. No one comes to help you, if you page someone to help, it'll take then 30 minutes just to come. There are some really good employees but the bad ones are more in numbers and overpowers the good ones. I will keep going but whenever I'm in Loveland or Fort Collins, I would prefer going to the home depot out there. read more

This location is close to my house. I haven't had any issues with anyone here. Everyone has been very sweet and helpful. We just closed on our house, 1st home Ever. We are renovating it and so far have gotten most everything from Home Depot. They have had everything we have needed. Prices are fair compared to other similar stores. Bathrooms are very clean. read more

While some of the employees are trying, for the most part the service is poor. I waited almost an hour for a phoned in order pick up. (Home Depot texted me that the order was ready.) When they finally brought the order out there were products missing and others were the wrong sizes. The employee said they would be right back with the correct products. I waited another half an hour and no one came out so I called in from the parking lot. Evidently they had forgotten all about me. In addition most of the products are now made in china and are junk. We do not support China due to the severe human rights violations and try to buy US made products. Not much luck there. read more

I'm writing this review to warn people about a very bad experience we've had with the local Home Depot in Greeley, CO. I want to start off by saying that we've bought carpet and laminate flooring from HD, and the installation and quality of the product totally met our expectations. We are happy with how both those projects came out. I wish I could say the same for the quartz countertops we bought for our kitchen, and the service we received from the employees in charge of that. We ordered quartz countertops from Home Depot and then they sub contracted the job out to Desert Eagle Stone in Denver. They came out to measure, etc. and everything went along smoothly. The problems came during the installation process and Home Depot has been giving us the runaround ever since. We paid Home Depot to have our old countertops removed and new ones installed. Desert Eagle was contracted to do the job. We were told that all we needed to do was disconnect the kitchen sink water and gas cooktop. They said that was all that needed to be done by us, and everything else would be taken care of. It was ready to go when the installers arrived. The countertop installation went pretty well, except that we had to argue with them about putting in three under-mount support braces that both Home Depot, and the people at Desert Eagle, told us we needed for the new breakfast bar to be properly supported. The lead installer said we didn't need them, that he had never seen that type of brace before and that he didn't have the right tool with him to do the job. Mind you, he had told us (minutes before) that he had been doing this job for 14+ years. We told him we were told we needed the braces, we paid for the braces and that we wanted them put in. After an hour or so of going back and forth and getting HD and Desert Eagle involved...the tool suddenly showed up and the braces were installed. The first problem arose when I caught the installers looking through some of my private items...mail and magazines. To which I told them to put it down and leave my things alone. The second is when we found broken pieces of dishes in our dishwasher that the installers broke when removing the dishwasher, so that they could kick out the old countertop from below. We wouldn't have know about the broken dishes had it not be for the few pieces we found in the dishwasher the first time we ran it. The installer(s) took the big pieces of the dishes with them, I'm assuming because they were nowhere to be found in our home, and never told us that they had damaged/broken anything. Dishonest to say the least. We were never told that the dishwasher had to be removed. It wasn't on the work order or in any of the directions we were given. Yet, they disconnected it anyway (without our permission/signed consent) and ended up causing damage to our home in the process. Not only did they break our dishes and then hide that fact from us-they also didn't reconnect the water hose correctly and water leaked all over our hardwood floors causing them to buckle and warp. We started the dishwasher, went to bed, and woke up with water all over the floor. We informed Home Depot right away (4 weeks ago) and have yet to have anything done about it. They act like it's our problem to fix. I was told by their insurance company that "disconnecting the dishwasher isn't on the work order". "I KNOW, so why did they disconnect it?"I asked. The agent acted like it wasn't their problem...because the installers made no note that they disconnected anything on the work order. To which I said...BS! I saw them do it! The installers have told their employer that they didn't disconnect it. More dishonesty! Anyway, to make a long story short...Home Depot is giving us the runaround. The folks that helped us order the quartz, at Home Depot, have all scattered and don't get back with us. The store manager told us to call "customer care" and have them deal with it. SAY WHAT? So we did that...and are still waiting for her (Barbara) to return our call(s). All of this is unacceptable. We went to Home Depot so that they could help us with our home remodel. We trusted them to hire skilled/trustworthy people to come into our home. I could write a novel on what has gone on SINCE the damage, but I only have so many words to use on this app. The bottom line: Home Depot has been ZERO% help when it comes to repairing our damaged floor. I feel that Home Depot in Greeley, CO are responsible to have this fixed! They're the ones WE PAID and they're the ones who hired Desert Eagle Stone to come into our home and do the work. They've been NO help at all. They act like it's our problem and ignore our calls. The only way we get them to address this-AT ALL-is by going into the store and making them face us. As soon as we leave--it's forgotten (for them). I will give an update on how (or if) this gets resolved. Until then-BEWARE-of shady Home Depot sub contractors coming into your home. People make a company, the most truthful of statements. This past weekend I spent it helping my family with their home. Cleaning, organizing, purchasing much needed things. My mom has a greenhouse she wants to use. It needs to be assembled and it requires a foundation with footings. So this past Sunday, my sister and I went to Home Depot to purchase pressure treated lumber for the footings and also wood slates for under my nephew's and my mom's bed. Who knew wood was so damn expensive?!?! We arrive at Home Depot around 1pm. This seems to be the place to be on a Sunday because the parking lot was quite full. I pulled up to the lumber area and parked (I hope) out of the way but so I could load my car easily. Let me share, I'm not a DIY person. Never have been, likely never will be. I am okay with this. It felt good to be able to supply the finances. My family has for me in the past, it's time to reciprocate. We walk in and go isle by isle. By the 3rd isle I said enough and went looking for orange apron people. We found Kody/Cody. I recall his name because my sister asked if it was like Kodiak the bear? The first thing we picked out was the flat board for the 2 beds. My sister, being like me, didn't like the "cracks" and kept going through each one to find a non-cracked one. Seems none existed. Cody said they were all like that and would be fine. He then stated there was a cheaper one. Now let me explain my personality. I have issues with the word "cheap". It's a pet peeve of mine. It's like nails on a chalkboard, it makes my skin crawl. I HATE CHEAP!!! My sister stopped me before I came outta my skin. I didn't think I was giving attitude, but I was tired and it had been a long day already. I mean who spends their weekends at the families house doing chores? I picked out the expensive one for mom and sis picked out a "recycled wood" for her son. Then we needed them cut. He helped with this but he didn't seem like he enjoyed his no. Maybe bad day? After cutting them he disappeared but there was 3 more people who needed wood cut. So I went to get another orange apron for them. In doing so, customers realizing I'm a go-getter sort asked me if I knew were stuff was. I ended up helping 2 families and got more orange aprons to help people. Now I work customer service. It's what I'm good at. These workers need training in this field. When I go to Target, I cannot get to the back of the store without a red shirt asking if I need help finding something. Wal-Mart use to be like that. This is an EXCELLENT business model. ALL BUSINESSES SHOULD FOLLOW! Did Home Depot? NOPE! Finally an asset member told me that they were short staffed and Sunday was the worst day to come there. The fact that I was told this by an employee means they KNOW they have a problem!! This made me angry and annoyed. You know why? Because most people do their shopping on weekends. Many work weekdays. They do their home projects on weekends. You would think a company like Home Depot would know this. I didn't hide the look of disgust on my face. Then onto the footings. We asked a tall young guy where the size we wanted was after looking for 20 minutes. He said in gardening on the other side of the store. Okay. So we get to it but not seeing the length we need. Finally we find a helping person with JJ. Let me say, I'm not sure if JJ is male or female. Doesn't really matter to me, what matters is this person was AMAZING!!! Best customer service I had receives all weekend. It turns out what I needed WAS in lumber! Talk about frustration. JJ stated they use to work in lumber but mgmt was not doing a great job and we all know managers make a team. I listened intently as JJ shared their experience with me. I could learn something for my business to. Turns out JJ was frustrated with the lack of team effort and leadership skills or the lacking thereof. It made sense because there was no PROACTIVE helpful behavior from those in lumber. JJ was willing to go the extra ten miles. JJ helped me find the footers, though ended up being 6x6 instead the 4x6. They didn't carry 12 foot 4x6's. Some guys helped load and finally headed to checkout. $300+ later we are loading my car. JJ and Cody helped load and JJ even helped tie it all down. I was only going about two miles, however safety first! Took about 30 minutes, but was very satisfied. Best part was JJ helping. worst part was the rest NOT helping and that wood is too damn expensive. read more

Doing a home remodel I have had to now deal with Home Depots customer service and Lowe's. I will now only shop at Home Depot here in town due to that. The customer service difference was just astounding. Andrew and Freddy helped us out on the spot in a matter of 30 mins including delivery on something that we screwed up and was not their fault. The only ding for the 4 star is that the store is cluttered and a little hard to find what your looking for. I'm used to Lowe's so this frustration will probably go away. I now know why my contractor suggests Home Depot. read more

I bought a dishwasher from this location which included delivery and install. They use a company called Linn Star to handle the delivery and install. The install tech ripped the main water line gasket causing a leak and massive water damage to my home. Neither Home Depot or Linn Star has taken any action to make this right. Home Depot should stand behind the products and services they provide. Granted Home Depot did refund the purchase price of the unit, after forcing we to physically return the unit. The store manager wouldn't even make eye contact with me or even apologize for the major inconveniences this has caused myself an my family. They have lost a customer and I hope to convince several others to never shop there again. read more

I placed an order online last night. Everything showed in stock. Called this morning because I never received notification that it was ready for pick up and the lady told me to come in and they would just pull the order because it wasn't ready yet. I sent my daughter to pick it up curbside and a CSR came out and said the swamp cooler was sold this morning and if I wanted the pressure washer I ordered I would have to go inside to get a refund on the swamp cooler first. The whole reason of ordering online is to not have to go into the store. Needless to say I canceled the whole $1300 order and went to Lowe's. I even called Home Depot to speak to a manager and was on hold for 25 minutes and they refused to speak to me. Very bad customer service! I will go to Lowe's from now on. read more

You have to chase someone down for 15 minutes to get any help and then there are 10 people in the breakroom. They need buttons in the aisles so that you can get help more efficiently instead of chasing people around especially when I have two toddlers in tow ! I went in looking for a 8 ft. cupboard, Home Depot had 4 that I was interested in, in stock all of which were broken! When I asked an employee about it, she told me it was from their fork lift, and she had told me there was one more in the back. She said she was going to go get it, I never seen her again. When I went to pay for the other items I had gone in there for, the woman working the self checkout asked if I had found everything, I told her what had just happened with the cupboard. Her reply to me was " Well you have to start somewhere". I am sorry, I was not about to pay over $200.00 for a cupboard that was smashed in!! The employees were not pleasant, there were many standing around chatting, when you look at them they hurry up and break up their circle, the store was dirty, and I was sneezing throughout it!! Funny how you try and plan ahead to support a local business and they are so incompetent, it makes you wonder why you just didn't order it online. I was looking for a particular tool and Ft Collins didn't have it, despite the store taking over 5 minutes to answer my call. It just rang and rang. So I called the Greeley store and a gentleman in hardware picked up, found the tool. I asked him to hold it up front under my name (only one left in stock) and I would make the 1/2 hour trip over to pick it up later in the day. I arrived at 6:30, went to the customer desk and told them there was a tool sitting there with my name on it. Well the two bright kids, who apparently were brighter than me, typed my name into the computer and said, there is no order for me. I slowly explained that it was sitting on a shelf with my name on it (apparently a new concept for millennials). They not only didn't look for it, they looked at me like I was nuts and told me to go to hardware to find it, because they didn't have it. I decided to play along, but after 30 minutes of not finding it on the shelf despite this elderly gentleman trying his best. Fine - call the manager. 10 minutes later a manager shows up and again after not finding it, I said can we please just go back to Customer desk and look on all the shelves. One minute after he starts looking, he finds it with my name on it. Shocker right. So Home Depot, how about you train your customer service staff to think outside the box and above all -- teach them the role I learned 40 years ago -- "The customer is ALWAYS right" You turned what should have been a 5 minute stop into a 40 minute nightmare. read more

Always pleased with assistance. Staff will walk you to item. I've had several people offer to assist me throughout the store, and offer to take items to my truck. HD is great about returns or exchanges too. We built a home and used HD almost exclusively because of customer service, quality of supplies/fixtures and prices. read more

If I could give this review a 0 I would have. Here's the gist. Years ago I worked for home depot so I know how many associated skate the customers and work. I just returned from California where in one store alone over three months I spent $56000.00 renovating a clients home. Close to triple that amount for the past year and a half. I have been loyal to HD FOR OVER 29 years. Now I'm a disabled Vet. Former Cap. USAF. After entering their store and obtaining a motorized cart I took in my returns which totaled approx $225.00. I made an attempt to shop for the items I needed instead. Three different associates when asked just walked right by me and the fourth employee watched as I tried to use my cane to beat a glue package from above me and out of reach from my chair. He smirked and kept bumping his gums with another employee. Pissed to no end I bit my lip. Then my cart stopped mid isle. A passing associate again I attempted to wave down and when I asked for assistance was given the response that it was going to be a few he had something more important to do. My roommate came and got he up out of the motor cart. I walked calmly to the front and asked for MOD David I believe. When describing my upset to him about the lack of care or help he interrupted me and said " I saw you in garden, then when out of the chair on my way to the front asked me himself I I needed anything". The associate who left me in the cart and wouldn't help was with David shooting their jaws about how the day was when I finally got my roommate to come get me up and to customer services. So I stopped sharing my experience and rewarded MOD David by telling him how right he was. That by him asking me in the far back of the store when no help was needed to help me that was good enough and what I had to say wasn't important enough for I'm to even comment. I have had it with this store in just two visits. I can take not only my money but my many future clients money and spend it on a store or different company all together. I am willing to pay even a higher price if treated human. What a shame to say. I am willing to pay more to be treated human? As a man who worked for them, served this country to allow them and their associates to enjoy freedom at the expense of my own comfort and now broken body to think I need to pay an even higher cost is beyond me. I don't expect anything back for my service, but I don't feel I need to pay any more as well. I left that store without even returning my returns. I left them with $225 of their own products back. Why did I even give them a 1 star because the neighbor kid who works there we good enough to walk out and stop us to ask if he could do anything. Not the manager but a kid. read more

If you have an afternoon to waste, this is the place for you. Every time we go it's difficult to find someone to help you. You have to go seek someone out and then they tell you only one person can help you and they're busy right now. I just want to spend some money on flooring. Why does HD make it so difficult to spend money in their store? Additionally, the assistant manager let the poor guy at customer service drown in customers. He kept calling her for help on how to do something and she wouldn't come. Just kept trying to tell him over the phone. Meanwhile, customers are backing up and clearly getting angry. Never again. Don't ever answer "5 quick questions" for a so called employee with a tablet. What happens is you get a plethora of robo calls for water testing and other stuff. You block them and they just call on another number, then get all butt hurt when you tell them to stop. Go to Lowe's or a small hardware store or lumber company. Home Depot now sucks. read more

Employees are reasonably friendly, but the customer service is still completely inefficient and disorganized. Tried to have a door delivered and installed and it has been a ridiculous ordeal. Have talked to more employees than I can remember regarding what should be a very simple matter and each one seems baffled in their own way. We were helped by so many people and all were very friendly in each department and the lady at the cash register went out of her way to ask if we had pets due to the fact that the plant I was about to purchase could have been toxic to my cat and she brought that up. I have had countless bad experiences in this store but today was my last straw I will not be going back. I highly suggest ordering online or going to Lowe's if you want any sort of help or knowledgeable staff. I did a online pick up in store order today because I really don't like shopping this store and try to avoid being in here and yet again they proved even just picking up a item will result in unprofessional behavior. I would have been much happier about the pick up if I didn't have to hear the two employees behind the counter talking about custody lawyers and the woman's husbands ex wife being so volatile. Come on. This is a store. They are here to help customers. The last thing I want to have to hear is all about these employees out of work drama and bashing of the step child's biological mother. That was not only unprofessional but disrespectful to the situation and me as a customer. I'm very disappointed to see this is what the employees do with there time. I guess it makes sense why I can't get any help when I'm in store shopping, employees are too busy trading drama stories to actually help! I literally did a online pick up order so I didn't have a bad experience like I do every other time I come in! this is the worst store I have ever been to, I ordered carpet with the free install,3 months ago, still not received what I pre-paid for, everytime I take a day off for install date, they call me with some bs excuse,eighter van breaks down,or on back-order, I am loosing 300 per day,everytime I take off work for an install apt they don't show up too, do not trust them to make things right because they never will, no one takes accountability at home depot, I am canceling depot credit card and will never purchase from them again. read more
