My husbands truck wouldn't smog and they charged him hundreds for things most places don't charge for like different system flushing and fluid checks to trouble shoot. They returned his truck back and still couldn't get it to smog and had no idea what was wrong with it. I think he spent over a grand having it there for a week just to get it back no better then we left it. We took it to another place in town who informed us we had gotten ripped off and it didn't really look like they did anything, how embarrassing. Now we have to wait and try again when we have the extra money... until then he has a truck he can't drive, that won't smog, and is racking up fees while we wait to renew the registration.

I also came prepared with some Micky D's breakfast cuz ya boy was hungry. So anyway, fast forward 10 minutes and while I'm munching on my McMuffins, Sean and I are talking casually about stuff. Kitchen Nightmares is on and Gordon Ramsay is going in on some crappy chef. Sean's like "I'm pretty sure your McDonald's breakfast sandwiches taste A-1 compared to that restaurant's crap right now." In between our conversation he politely asked me to sign off and review what he was charging me for, didn't try to upsell me, sell me anything useless, or any additional fluff. He also didn't rush me out of there either. So I able to take my time and enjoy the deliciousness I had brought with me. All in all I spent about 15-20 minutes tops. The process was fast and easy. 15/10 would chat and chill with Sean again. Oh yeah and my car was fine. And I paid about $45 for the whole thing (smog check). "It seems like quality has taken a dive man, all these shops are trying to screw you out of your money. You come in for brakes, they try and sell you a tune up with it. We were planning a trip so I took my truck to the tire store that I use to make sure my tires could make the trip. They said my tires were safe to make one more trip. Then I took it to Auto Dr. For servicing & a thorough check. Everything was fine, but he said he would not recommend taking that trip on those tires.
