They say they fix sewing machines too. I paid them $40 before they even looked at my machine (which I don't believe they ever did due to their comments), then told me they couldn't get the parts so I could come pick up my machine. I picked it up but they didn't refund my money. Don't waste your time and $$$ with this place. Go to AAA Sew and Vac Inc. in Sandy. They were awesome and fixed it. read more

This unsuspecting little shop is actually a diamond in the rough. The little '[cottage' that houses the shop, the rickety old sign, even the horrible parking area in front all look to have been abandoned years ago. But just venture up the steps. You'll see. Walking in, you are greeted like an old friend and treated like a member of the family.....a loving happy family that is. The walls are covered with various parts and bags and fixed up vacuums for sale. The owner is the one that works there, so he knows every square inch of his shop. I know he does repairs as well. I have a cheap big box store vacuum, and it's old. So, when a belt broke a couple of years ago, I searched all of the big box stores for a replacement...nada. I stopped by here and waalaa, he had two in stock. Even the bags for my vacuum are hard to find. Yep, he carries them. I've just learned to come here first and was richly rewarded this last time. He happened to have just sold out of the bags I needed. Upon realizing that I was in dire need, he GAVE me a bag from his open package of bags that he uses for repairs to tide me over until the new ones came in. I mean, I'm not sure that my real family would do that! I just don't see any reason to go anywhere else for all things vacuum related. Why not talk to a super nice, very experienced professional? I have driven past this little shop more times than I can count. Don't let the appearance on the outside keep you from having Jerry work on your vacuum. I chose this shop because of the positive reviews on YELP. The beater brush on my Dyson stopped working today. Most of the carpet in my home is on the darker side, which requires regular vacuuming. I was afraid that I would have to leave it for a few days. I was wrong. Jerry fixed it for me while I waited and gave me pointers on how to clean the filter. I felt that the charges were reasonable for what he did. I am happy to say that my Dyson sucks again! A huge thanks to Jerry! read more

Purchased a vacuum here probably 8 years ago. Been a wonderful vacuum, works great has lasted longer than I anticipated. Today had an issue with it. I called, spoke with Jerry, asked him if he could help me troubleshoot the problem. Jerry took time to talk me through the process over the phone. I had a difficult time "getting on the same page" about what Jerry was directing me to do. Jerry told me he would send me a video to help me. 2 minutes later he sends a video of him walking through what he wanted me to do. Went through the suggested fix and found what the problem was (exactly where Jerry said it would be) and TAA DAA fixed vacuum. When I called I expected to get the standard "you better bring it in for service" speech. Not so!!! I highly recommend Ace Vacuum World and Jerry. My next vacuum will certainly be purchased there. read more

Blown away by the service here. Definitely a 'diamond in the rough,' as Karen put it. Excellent service, fair prices, and a man who really knows what he is doing. Originally gave me an estimate of the job being done in a week... got a call the next day that it was done! When I came in to pick it up he not only showed me what caused the problem, but he showed me how to prevent it from happening in the future, gave me a new bag for free, and carried the vacuum to my car for me. On top of the great service, he also happens to have the sweetest shop cat, Glen, to greet you with a purr at the door. Makes the whole experience even better :) But, I do happen to be a cat person. I will not be going anywhere else for vacuum repair while I'm in Utah! Though, with the job Jerry did, hopefully I won't be having to go back for awhile :) read more

Jerry (I think he's the owner) was a delight to work with. He checked out my Dyson vacuum on the spot and told me what was wrong with it. He gave me a quote, and I wasn't expecting it to be so costly (because of the part it needed), but after seeing his past reviews I put my trust in him. About a week later I got a call back and went to pick up my vacuum. Jerry had fixed the problem and even cleaned the whole thing pretty thoroughly! Yaaaay for Vacuum World!! I believe the nice man's name was Jerry, and I dropped my vacuum of to him to have it repaired. It was one of my errands on my honey-do list , and because I don't really know anything about vacuums I just dropped it off to have a new belt put on. I received a call shortly thereafter saying that my vacuum was ready. It turns out it wasn't in need of a belt at all, and it was simply a minor technicality. Rather than charge me for labor and a new belt which he could have easily done, he did the honest thing and reimbursed me for the belt I purchased, and sent me on my way no charge at all! I applaud an honest businessman, and wish there were more customer service oriented people out there like this man. Way to go Jerry and Vacuum World!! I will always return to him from now on with all my vacuum needs because of this experience and encourage everyone in SLC to do the same. read more
