I bought a new Subaru, and a new Vantrue dashcam with front and rear cameras, and I wanted to get the dashcam professionally installed, so that all the wiring was neatly tucked away but also would not interfere with airbag deployment. Additionally, with the Subaru being a hatchback, I knew that improper cable routing can lead to water leakage into the trunk space, during rainfall. I reached out to Aaron, he responded within minutes, and during our conversation he recommended some specific cabling and accessories, including Vantrue's OBD Hardwire Power Cable Kit, which lets the camera record while the car is parked. I purchased those, made an appointment with Aaron, and he installed everything in about three hours. Aaron was a thorough professional from the beginning of the process to the end, and the finished installation could not look tidier; I'm super happy with the result and cannot recommend Ash Dashcam any more highly. Aaron from AceDashcam was very professional and customer-needs orientated! I contacted him early in the week to get a quote in installing a dash cam for my Tesla Model 3. He did not push any product but as I had already done my own research, I asked if he had any experience with installing the BlackVue DR900s. He stated that he was currently working on one and he had already done quite a few and went on to explain the features of the BlackVue and also what his installation entailed. His installation was much cheaper which included hardwiring to the 12V. After further debating, I opted to use the Power Magic Battery pack which he had no problem with. He again stated the various options to allow me to chose. On installation day, he careful explained where he would be installing the camera and where he would be hiding the wires. I had also showed him images of where others had installed the Ultra battery pack which he recommended that I avoid doing so since my battery is much smaller and can fit into the center console. Aaron finished the installation in a couple hours and texted me when he was done. As I hadn't finished running my errands, I was late to picking up my car. He was very accommodating even though I arrived after his closing time. He still went over every detail and showed me the dash cams, hidden wires, the instructions, how to work the BlackVue app, set up, etc. Even better, he was very understanding as my daughter was getting very restless in the backseat. It's been about 2 months since Aaron installed the front/rear camera BlackVue on my 2020 Honda Accord and it's worked perfectly ever since. When I scheduled and showed up on time, he accidentally overbooked the day and didn't have one of the Black Models I requested. But instead of rescheduling, he stayed late in order to finish the install. He also upgraded me to the DR970X-2Ch as a courtesy because he was out of the previous models. I also requested one of the BlackVue Power Magic Pros', but Aaron let me know that it wasn't needed for this dash cam and install. The same functions can be used with the dashcam itself. In other words, he could have just charged me and I wouldn't have known the difference. But since he was honest about what was actually needed for the job, that shows a quality of work ethic. That it'll get done right. Speaking of the quality of work, I was worried that the Dash cam was going to obscruct my driving view because of the low pofile windsheild and the car's onboard cameras. But the dashcam's position on the front windshield is so well tucked away behind the rear view mirror, I can't even see it. After the install, he showed me the Black Vue app and walked me thorough connected it to my phone and viewing videos over the wifi connection. He also gave a 1 year warranty for any labor installation problems. But so far, there are none. I'm extremely happy with Aaron's work. He was more than accommodating and very knowledgeable on the BlackVue dashcams and it shows in the quality of his work. If I had many more cars I would go to him again no question. read more

I sent out an email to multiple dash cam installers and Aaron was one of the first to promptly respond. He answered all the questions I had. He explained the importance of installing the cameras and not blocking airbags. He explained the difference the GB = hours of recording. He explained the difference in quality and if prices were too steep, alternatives. So I wasn't worried about being price gouged. He showed me the cameras I was purchasing were brand new & the boxes were unopened. He showed me the cameras came with 16GB but he was installing 128GB. After explaining the importance of installing the cords properly, he does have insurance. He showed me on his phone how the interior camera covered the entire car. AceDashcam is a one man operation humbly ran in a small shop tucked away in Upland. It was difficult to locate at first, but I gave him a call and he waved me down. He clearly answered all my questions -- which was helpful in being able to decide what I wanted in my install. I installed a 2ch Blackvue 750s and a Power Magic Pro in my Mazda 6 GT. I asked him where it was going to be installed specifically because the GT version has additional equipment near the rear view mirror for radar. I asked him his opinion on what would be practical in terms of storage size and he explained the pros and cons with each size. The waiting room was super cold on a day like this so I just took a Lyft over to Starbucks nearby to get some work done and have some breakfast. He gave me an estimate of about 3 hours, but he got it done in half the time. The install was clean. He took before and after pictures of his job to have me review his work and he explains why he did what he did. I've been looking for a dash cam setup for some time, looking for BlackVue dash cams and Ace Dashcam was the closest to me. Aaron was the manager/installer was the one whom I worked with and I could not be more happy with the install. Aaron explained everything to me, asked me a series of questions for what I was looking for and made some recommendations which also saved me a few hundred dollars. I am not sure if he is the only one working or if he had a crew, but my install day he was the only one working. The install took about 2 1/2 hours, then he spent some time explaining how it worked, helped me with the application for my Samsung cell phone and I was up and running when I left. The BlackVue dashcam is small enough to hide behind the rear view mirror so you don't see it from inside and doesn't detract or obscure your view. So my experience with AceDashCam is nothing but positive. I would recommend this company to anyone. If you use AceDashCam and are going to wait there for the install, bring a folding chair as he doesn't have a waiting room, I sat out front and enjoyed a good cigar and chatted some of the other business owners to pass the time. One more thing, you cannot tell he pulled panels apart to run wires, he covered my seats to protect them and cleaned up any mess (if any) when he was finished. Wanted a new dashcam with a rear camera. I originally bought a 3 channel dashcam on Temu. Needed to get it installed and found Ace Dashcam on yelp. Decided to buy a different dashcam from Ace Dashcam because the screen was a bit small, didn't have speed display and could only record on 2 channels (either front/rear or front/inside). Plus get discount on installation if buy dashcam from Ace Dashcam. Also, need to provide own hardwire kit if installing dashcam bought somewhere else. Setting up appointment done by email and/or text since Ace Dashcam owner (Aaron) apparently is the only employee. Aaron recommended a Korean brand (Thinkware F200 1080 resolution ~$199 and Thinkware U1000 4k resolution ~$429). Both do not have a display screen but you can view with an app on your phone. I chose the U1000 model. He told me he'd move my existing Dashcam to the other side. Installation would take about 3 hours and was complete on time. Wiring looked great. He put rear camera wires within hatchback body panels and wire conduit so very little wiring is exposed. He also removed some old dashcam wiring at no additional cost. Looked great. Helped me download/setup the app and explained how to use the dashcam. The dashcam works great and the video is very clear. Highly recommend Ace Dashcam. read more

At first I ask him the different between fuse taps and the OBD-II options, he clearly explain the OBD-II is better choice for plug and play if you need to change something. Would just say that Aaron is super helpful and knowledgeable. I had a VIOFO a129 plus duo camera, and was asking around to get quotes on the install. Aaron was the only one who mentioned that because of my SUV, I would need a longer cable than the supplied 4meter cable to connect the rear cam to the front camera in order to not have to wire it through the headliner, where it could potentially interfere with airbags. No one else made any mention of this. He spent a good amount of time just explaining to me what he would do and wire in such a way as to avoid opening the headliner entirely. I just put in the order for the 8 meter cable on amazon for the camera, he is an hour away from where I am so I am not certain I will be able to use his service, but his insights have been very helpful already and now wherever I go I can be sure to have them use the longer cable and wire it properly. read more
