After calling the Kent store, waiting in line, seeing if it could be transferred, having a terribly unintelligent conversation with a front line rep (who implied I was stupid), and simply requesting to have them solve the issue swiftly and effectively I was told they wouldn't do anything to help. Could have comped the $8 meal I had clearly paid for and had order confirmation of, could have apologized the apps gps didn't effectively work, could have offered to call the Kent location for me, could have offered to call chow now who runs their app for them. Service was decent. the menu is clear and easy to read.It took about 15 minutes for our food. They called us by our order and we picked it up from the counter. We ordered two orders of chicken rolled tacos and an order of chicken tamales with rice and beans, chips and salsa with a medium half Jamaica half lemonade it came 50.43 which is a little pricey, but everything is a little pricey nowadays they have an amazing deal for 20 tacos, chips and salsa for $49 I want to try their street tacos because yum Hint: If you get the chips and salsa, ask them for the salsa in the little plastic containers they give you with your food and mix it with the bigger one. The bigger one has the heat and the little ones have the flavour. All in all it's pretty basic Mexican food. The rolled tacos were good, they were not greasy the tamales were flakey and not overly seasoned you could taste the hatch chiles in them which was good. Rice and beans were decent. The place was empty when we went in and we stayed for about 30 minutes altogether. That is from order to leaving. We had a small get together for my fiancé's birthday with friends at our house and didn't want to have to cook for the group. My fiance has ordered from here in the past and had a good experience, so I decided to order here as well. You can place orders ahead of the time on their website but we were having service issues so we called and placed the order over the phone for two taco boxes. Service was friendly over the phone and at pickup, and the taco boxes are a crazy deal! For $50 you get a large side of rice, beans, and tortilla chips alongside 20 street tacos of your choice. One box we did all carne asada, and one box we did 10 chicken and 10 carnitas. I can't speak too much to authenticity, but I can say they were delicious and all our guests were happy with the food! Food is decent, sometimes. It is a roll of a dice. Some days are exceptional, other days are literally straight up garbage. I tend to come here for breakfast burritos because you can't mess that up. Most of the times, it is pretty good. Salsas are a hit or miss, very few times they were good and chunky and just like how you'd expect good salsa to be. Majority of the time, its watered down and flavorless. My worst experience of all, was a carne asada burrito. Tasted fine until I found a wrapper in my burrito. Plastic wrapper most likely from the carne asada packaging from the distribution centers. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better options out there. Even the pop up taquerias are cleaner and more consistent. What can they do to improve is what yelp is asking? Ordered the vegetarian tacos on Grubhub and requested vegan beans and no cheese. They even called me and said that their beans were not vegan and they would add more rice to the order. When I got the order it was STEAK (not vegetarian) tacos with some lettuce, and the rice probably had chicken broth. Not very vegan friendly at all. I ate some of the rice unfortunately and got sick. I've heard of this restaurant from the Orting location bit had never had their food. Today I was in the area and decided to go through their drive thru and order some dinner. I got their special fries with carne asada, 5 tacos de lengua and a quesadilla. Total was around $34 and it took a while so I figured it would be fresh. I have to admit the bag they handed me surprised me because it seemed...small. I get home and am surprised by the small size of the tacos and how scarce the fries look. I am basing this on other places like Antojitos, Los Amigos and El Rinconcito. Those are all infinitely better. Better taste, bigger portions, more quantity for $ etc. My husband loves lengua and he had to ask what meat it was because it was so dry. My fries were seasoned, salty and devoid of any other ingredients besides crumbly meat and some squirts of sour cream and a scoop of avocado smash. The quesadilla was bland. Got the soft taco, carne asada. The meat is already made whenever they made it, they probably heat the meat in the microwave which makes the carne extremely dry. I don't want to say it's Mexican food, it's more like American Mexican food cause the quality of real Mexican food is really not there. Puyallup location: I ordered the Carne Asada Ranchera Special on Christmas Eve, got home and realized they gave me a nasty Chile relleno. I called and talked to the manager which told us to come back any other day and they'd replace it and got my name. When I went back they didn't have anything written down, so we had to wait for them to call the manager, they asked me to pull forward and I wouldn't, they continued to walk out to collect money, hand out orders to, and gossip about the situation to customers behind us in the drive-thru. 40 mins passed and they still hadn't started cooking my mess up order so I left. I am reading everyone's review about the bland food. I asked my bf if his street tacos were bland and he said yes, he doesn't like them. However, the only taco I have tried there are the beef roll up tacos, and the chicken roll up tacos. I am very picky about meats, and I really enjoyed the beef roll up and the chicken rollup taco. It comes with guacamole, and I will agree that the guacamole is a great incentive to the role of Tacos, but it is bland for sure. I think it would be good if they added salt to it, but they didn't. I do like their little red salsa's, but I agree that I've had some that were jelly. Not sure why that is. But when it's not Jolly it's actually pretty good with the role of Tacos.
