The restaurant is tucked in a neighborhood. It is definitely worth going. Had their butter chicken, naan and rice. All of it was very good and tasty. I also had the mango lassi which good. The service was a bit slow but will definitely go back. read more

Was staying at a local Heathrow hotel and wanted a good Indian meal. Very nice interior with a super extensive menu. Was greeted quickly and shown to a nice table by the window. I massively over ordered as everything looked so good! Overall service was good, curry was great, Nan chewy and crispy at the same time. read more

We found Achari by accident as we intended to try another place nearby that had a closed kitchen on Monday but failed to say that online. Well, I am glad they were closed. Achari was just a block away and it was amazing. The service is a 10, no joke. Three folks seeing to your every need. The food was so good that we immediately re-ordered the appetizer after seeing and tasting it. The dishes have huge variety. All of the sauces served with the papadam were crazy and delicious. The main courses, we had two different tikka's (I know, boring for most advanced Indian food fans, but we are getting on a 10 hour flight and had never been here before). We had the dal makhani (nice), the rice pilau w/peas, naan and they were great. Finding Achari really made our night, otherwise we would have been trying to find something at a Heathrow Airport Hotel - yuk - not happening. read more

My husband and I ordered delivery via their website to our hotel at Heathrow. We had their Tarka daal, saag paneer, Achari lamb, brinjal bhaji (eggplant), butter chicken, mint sauce, green sauce, red sauce, yogurt relish, green salad, peshawari naan (fruits & nuts) and rogni naan (garlic). This was way too much but I wanted to try so many things before we left England. I probably should have ordered each dish as a side (they have that option). Their butter chicken was sweeter than I'd had in the states and I loved it. The Achari lamb was amazing. The sauces were superb. The peshwari naan was the best I'd ever had. Make sure to order rice--unlike the States rice does not come with your meal. Also have cash--they expect cash payment for deliveries. We only had Indian food at two different places in London, but this was by far the better meal and perhaps the best Indian restaurant food I've ever had. read more

The paneer butter masala dish was like tomato paste and very bright red color which was off putting but the mixture of coconut shreds added a nice texture. Naans were great! A little bit overpriced. Good soft Roti, veg curry was nice with flavor and I asked them to make it extra spicy which worked well for me. The chappati was good too. I also had a mushroom tikka that was good and moist - was good for a first try but I might try something else the next time around. Quick Uber trip from Heathrow Airport on a layover (leave 2 - 3 hours to get back through security .... ) It was WORTH the struggle to get here and back! One of my favorite meals during three weeks in Europe ! The Naan was fluffy and chewy and fabulous like nowhere else , the flavors of the tikka sauce were subtle and careful and the veggie curry was similar... we were sopping up and eventually (yes) drinking our sauce.... This use to be our favorite restaurant near Heathrow. We always eat here, at least a dozen times now, whether our trips are for business or pleasure. We will never eat here again! These people are Rude Ass-wipes! We race to get there before they close their lunch serving at 2:30. It was 2:05. Lthings easier and quicker for him, we say we'll have just two appetizers. Ups and downs were the flavour of the evening. Wednesday night and the place was busy. I had booked through Opentable and was placed at a small table by the toilets. Poppadoms arrived pretty quickly, with a good number of sauces. Clearly the quick arrival was to cover the fact that I then waited for ages to have my main order taken - which was indicative of the age that it took for the food to turn up. Being next to the toilets (and kitchen door) meant that I was constantly being whacked by toilet goers and staff coming in and out of the kitchen. At one point a waiter managed to empty a plate of onion bahjis over my feet (Wolverine 1000 mile boots) which finally did it for me. Food was OK and portion sizes respectable. I ensured that the manager knew that, should my boots be Bahji stained, I would be making a claim n their insurance. read more

This is the best Indian restaurant around Heathrow airport. I usually stay on Bath road when I visit London and I order from Achari most of the time. The food is delicious and very affordable. I usually order the Tandoori Chicken, Special Fried Rice and a Garlic NaN. I've tried other dishes as well and this is definitely the Indian restaurant I go to. read more

***3.5 stars*** We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and were concerned about being the only people in the place. Was that a bad sign? It was clean, nicely decorated and fully staffed...where was everyone? I appreciated the friendly greeting and attentive service, but it was almost too much. I went for my standard chicken tikka masala, which was promptly served to me with a separate plate of rice. The sauce itself was very tasty; more tangy with tomato than creamy as I've experienced in some Indian restaurants. There weren't as many pieces of chicken as I would have liked, although the pieces in the dish were generously sized. I thought the price was reasonable for lunch (8.95 GBP). Irish coffee was pretty freakin' delicious. That's random, I know, but my co-worker ordered it and I had a sip. OMG. I'd gladly return to this place. With a little less hovering, I could bump it up to four stars. read more

My favorite Indian restaurant! I have been here numerous times and also had delivery. The food is always great. My fav is Lamb Baadam Pasanda and Lamb tikka. The popondooms come with 8 different chutneys, excellent. Free delivery if your order is £15, and free drink if £20. The garlic naan is perfect. Never had a bad meal, always a delight. read more

We went to Achari (this restaurant) and experienced horrible customer experience. In spite of that we went ahead and ordered food. Our appetizer that came in, Chicken Tikka, was completely bland. No masala at all. Undercooked. We were so appalled that we got up and cancelled the order and came to Zayani(next door rest). It was amazing experience and an exact opposite. Amazing customer experience and mind blowing tasty food. Five stars to Zayani and 2 stars to Achari (reason is that although initially the waiter inisisted that we pay for the full order, the owner waived the main items which we never saw) P.S. Great Indian restaurant, their chutney is so worth the 15 mins walk to find the place... completely delicious, especially coconut chutney, I ordered tandoori chicken, well marinated and tender meat. Their chickpeas and lentil has great taste to it even non vegetarian will like it! Good selection of wine, we even found Zinfandel!Service is great too, at the end, they even offer you one free liquor shot! I got some baileys as my dessert! will definitely go back!!!! By now I feel that I have become somewhat of an Indian cuisine snob. Staying close to Achari I along with 3 others decided to give it a first time try. Gotta say it meet and exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The food is of finest quality and taste. Two of my mates who've never had Indian before are now converts. No more pub grub for them. I frequent a few locations in the Heathrow area and am happy to add Achari to my list of dinner options in the area. A list that for the record only has Indian eateries on it. We had Biryani, Jalfrezi, Masala, Garlic Naan, various fried rices, apps, King Cobra and Cobra beers to list a few items. Had other items but can't spell them so won't try. Highly recommend you go and experience the great food and friendly staff. Only wish I had tried it sooner. read more
