I am from New York and we enjoy Indian food but we do not have places like this. The food was amazing. The service was attentive and polite. And the restaurant was clean and nice. We had the puri with spice prawns, meat samosas and the lamb vindaloo. Each dish was great but the puri with spice prawns was the best. One small thing I didn't like the chutney plate which we did not touch (one of 4 they gave us) was taken from our table -we did not want it - and put on someone else's. Wonderful! Took a group of 9 --including 3 with allergies--and the food and service was fantastic!

My family and I were traveling to England from the USA. We had been looking for an Indian restaurant because it's one of my and my husband's favorite types of cuisines. We were staying in the West Drayton area before our flight home the next morning and still hadn't had any Indian food. We came across Simpson Tandoori and decided to give it a try. We are so thankful that we did because it was a wonderful meal to end our UK adventure! The restaurant is very clean and classy looking. The staff was unbelievably polite, kind and helpful (our sons hadn't eaten Indian food before so our waiter gave some helpful suggestions and modifications to their meal to make it more suitable for a younger child's palette). Also, the staff was helpful with my food allergies (gluten and mushrooms) so I could have a safe and enjoyable meal. We started with some papadums with various dipping sauces. I am not sure what all the sauces were--but one was like a sweet and sour, one was a pineapple or mango, one was spicier with pickled veggies (my personal favorite), one bowl was some chopped veggies and then a yellow sauce that I'm not sure how to describe it other than a flavorful mild sauce. Then, we each ordered a dish without realizing just how much food it would end up being; but it worked out very well because we got to share with each other and taste a bit of everything. The adults ordered: vindaloo chicken, tikka masala, chili tikka masala, garlic rice, pilau rice and the children ordered lamb chops and tandoori chicken (on the starter menu) and some chips. The food came out hot and exactly as we ordered. Everything smelled so good that I only took an overview photo of our table because I was too excited to eat it! I cannot say enough about the quality of food and service we received from this business. But I wish it wasn't an ocean away from us or else it would be a place we would frequently visit. Beyond amazing service and exceprional food. Started off with a sheek kebab and it arrived sizzlig with onions and a small salad. It was then followed by mushroom bhajee, brindi bhajee, mushroom rice and saag paneer with a side onion naan. Wow Found this gem on yelp and it didn't disappoint. Everyone should stop by. The chicken tiki Marsala was amazing and the service was hands down some of the best service I've every had. The staff was very pleasant and offered suggestions and provided great service. It's only a 5 star restaurant when they unfold your napkin and place it on your lap. That's what they do here. 2 miles from heathrow if you have a lay over or short stay you have to eat her. The restaurant was meticulously clean with table clothes and cloth napkins. Great place, we wanted curry, narrowed it down to 3 places. We asked at the hotel and they recommended this place, because it was good and for a nominal fee they'd pick you up and bring you back to the hotel. That aside, a warm welcome, and fast service, plus an very extensive menu greet you. From poppadoms to starters, and main course galore, the food was excellent and although they were busy the service was excellent. When I arrived at Heathrow for my overnight pit stop before heading back to the States, I was crushed to hear there was a transportation strike and the tune wasn't operating. I had been planning to head into town to get some great Indian food but this wasn't worth trying without the tube. In a turn of events I'm glad it worked out this way as I tried this restaurant near LHR and was extremely satisfied! After some flight delays I didn't arrive to the hotel until just after 9 PM. Looking online, I saw Sipson offered delivery to heathrow hotels - how awesome! So for my order, I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice (cooked in ghee), garlic naan and meat samosas. Overall, very solid food and a great option near the airport! The garlic naan was some of the best I've had. Chicken tikka sauce was flavorful and the meat very moist, the samosas we're absolutely delightful and had a wonderful blend of spices. Maybe the rice was one thing that was a bit of a let down - not very buttery and a bit flavorless. Also, the tikka was had plenty of sauce which was great with the rice however seemed a little light on the chicken. The above only being minor issues, this is a standout choice and if you're staying at heathrow, you absolutely should give it a try!!! read more

Staying around Heathrow and craving Indian (or delicious food, no qualifier)? This is your restaurant. I had the lamb saag and saag aloo, along with a papadum plate with chutney and garlic naan. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive; my server was curious about where I was from and my experience in England, which was very appreciated after travelling alone for a while. The food was truly above par; the lamb saag was fork-tender and perfectly seasoned, the aloo (potatoes) were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the myriad chutneys with papadum were a great start. The garlic naan was delicious, but I was craving that wood-fired flavour and it wasn't quite there, but certainly a fair ways along. Everything about Sipson is classy, with great lighting, well-dressed staff and exquisite dish presentation. The music could have been less "dancy" at times, but I'm sure if I asked for something quieter, my request would have been honoured. In short, highly recommended. BLUF: The absolute best customer service, they deliver to LHR hotels and if you want to eat there they will pick you up and drop you off if you are staying near LHR and finally the food is amazing! For most of my life I never really ate Indian food, but that changed about two years ago after eating at Sipson Tandoori. Now I actually need to get my Indian food fix from time to time. I travel to London for business frequently and Sipson Tandoori is my go to spot. I can't say enough good things about the staff and food. My favorite dishes are the meat samosa, lamb chili tikka masala, garlic rice and as much of the garlic naan I can eat. I wash that all down with an ice cold king fisher beer. I always order the food Indian hot and have yet to have a poor meal there. If you are staying around LHR airport they will actually pick you up and drop you off after your meal, I always give the driver 5 or 10 pounds. Its just nice to have a great meal and not be stuck eating at the over priced bland hotel restaurants. l read more

Sipson Tandoori is my favorite Indian place near Heathrow Airport. It's about two miles away from the main stretch of hotels along Bath Road. There's plenty of parking nearby. You can also take the 222 bus from Sipson Road, and the ride is less than 10 minutes. I've had a couple of hotels say that the restaurant delivers to the Heathrow hotels, but I've never tried using the service. I've eaten here about once every three months because it's convenient to Heathrow and the food quality is quite good. The curries are a cut above many other restaurants I've eaten at, with a subtler blend of spices. For something a little different, go for a karahi or the chicken tikka bhuna. I especially like the Peshwari Naan - the coconut filling has a much subtler flavor than many places I've eaten, and the sweet nutty flavor is a complement to many of the spicy dishes. read more

I was in England for a weekend trip with my family to visit family friends. I really wanted some curry and this was very close to where we were staying and we all decided to try this place. Well it was incredible, the good was delicious and even though the dishes seemed small the portions of food were enormous! Extremely delicious food for the price! I have eaten here several times while staying near London Heathrow airport. The food here is awesome. Granted I don't live in the UK and the selection of Indian back home is not as vast. I have visited India and feel I have a good idea of what good Indian cuisine is. This place is right up there with the best I've had. This time I had the paneer shashlick and the chicken shashlick curry. The paneer is delicious but the chicken shashlick curry was awesome. My sister and I were staying just down the road and we decided to give this lovely place a try! From the moment we walked in everyone was very kind and attentive. When it came to the food-YUMMY! They were nice enough to make a dish for us off the menu and it was amazing. It was a curry dish with lots of veggies and some chicken. I was in search of a place for some good Indian food, and I am really glad that this was the place my family chose for dinner. Upon walking in, we were greeted with many friendly faces and were seated right away. The atmosphere was calm and soothing and appeared very classy. We ordered the Butter Chicken, the Chicken Kari Mirch, Paneer Kahari, and Vegetable Biryani with lots of butter naans. My personal favorite was the Butter Chicken which was sweet compared to all the other dishes that were rather spicy. Our food arrived promptly, and all of our requests were met immediately. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the service was here. All the waiters were very alert and exceeded the standard of kindness. In fact, if this review was on service alone, I would give it 6/5 stars. The food itself wasn't incredible, but it was still pretty tasty. The naan was always warm and right off the oven so they were superb. We ordered the fantastica for dessert, and it was a delicious treat to end our meal. We were passing through Heathrow and tired, so decided to do delivery at the area hotel where we were staying. I called the restaurant and my order was promptly taken, but they accept only cash for deliveries. The person on the other end was courteous and guided me to their web site where you can pay by card(which I did).The food arrived in 30 minutes and online order also gave free soda bottle. The food was delivered in a hot case. The dishes were above average, standard Indian curry fare.
