I ordered lamb curry, rice and peas, garlic nanh bread, and a beer. Food was delicious. Service was great.

A nice selection of good looking mithai sweets!

Awesome find! Amazing service, amazing food and a great experience overall. This place was recommended by the front desk lady of our hotel. The food was authentic and delicious. It's a small little place, but they also have mithai sand we ended up ordering more than we could eat, and we also took back the delicious sweets. Since we were staying at the Hilton property, near the airport, just to catch the early morning flight next day, we haven't been back. However, I remember fondly that nice evening when we sat and ate at this little place, where there was a stream of Indians lined up to take away their dinners!

It doesn't look like much, but my goodness, what a great value, tasty meal you can get here! The two of us ordered SO. MUCH. FOOOOOOD. Samosas, poppadums, pickle, seekh kebab (which they served in a naan - we didn't order that but it was fine), a keema main, a paneer main, rice, a few cans of soda... We left loads, because we wanted to try everything. And I'm glad we did - there wasn't a bad bite of food. I have a fair bit of Indian, and this was honestly in the top few Indian meals I've ever had in London. And when you factor in the price - £20, for all that food - it's probably the best. It's a shame that I'm never up this way, or I'd be at Priya's all the time. It looks like a bit of a hole-in-the-wall takeaway-type place, but there are a few tables (there was an England game on so we didn't have trouble on a Friday night, but I think this is rare). It's clean, has a good variety, and the staff are all really, really nice. There's a huge selection of sweets but I was just so full. It's only a five minute walk from the Travelodge, too.

    Paranthas and Punjabi kadhai

So I ordered the following breads: Mooli (radish) parantha, Gobi (Cauliflower) parantha and Onion parantha and one roti. But then I felt like maybe I should try some vegetarian dishes too, so I went for: Punjabi Kadhi (yogurt and gram flour based gravy) and Bindi (okra sauté) tori. Then to top it all up, ordered some Indian tea. So far, I have lived my life as an atheist. But after dining here I kind of doubt my beliefs now. The food here is heavenly. There has to be some God in the kitchen here. The food was was so scrumptious and the paranthas are huge. For those less familiar with that word, Parantha is a North Indian bread usually served stuffed with some nicely diced sauted vegetables. Beautiful stuff. If you have tried kheema naan, you probably have an idea. The tea was spiced with cardamom and milky. This is not the tea that will keep you awake. It will put you to sleep so peaceful that all your insomnia will be history. I am a die hard fan aleady. Planning to try out some of the sweets that they have on display. Gosh! If I were to die eating, this is where I'd like to do that. I am coming back here.

Butter chicken with white basmati rice and tandoor roti.. Absolutely delicious.

Walked into this place the other day because I was starving and it had glowing reviews on Yelp! and TripAdvisor. Although this place seems like an excellent take-a-way option (if you're in the nearby area), I ended up dining in but the restaurant was pretty much empty around 6 pm or so. As such, the food came out pretty fast and, especially considering the price, it was excellent. I had the butter chicken with white basmati rice, tandoor roti, and veg samosas (all for about £12). Literally everything I ordered was delicious and was a much bigger quantity than I expected (I took the leftovers back to my nearby airport hotel). All-in-all, I highly recommend Priyas if you want some solid Indian food.

Quality/Quantity - What a great find, and this review shows…read morethe positive power of Yelp. We discovered this local restaurant through Yelp, and so did the other 2 tables next to us. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am so glad that you can benefit from Yelp. See you on our next visit as we were so happy with our hotel we plan to stay there again.

GREAT Indian Restaurant at the Raddison Blu Edwardian at the Heathrow airport! Chances are, if you…read moreare at an airport hotel in London, you are probably wishing you could experience this town's incredible Indian food one more time before you leave. Most people search the Yelp reviews and walk to the best, close restaurant you can find. I recently stayed overnight at the Raddison by Heathrow. My wife and I were craving Indian badly. We were about to walk a mile to get to a restaurant I found on Yelp, when we noticed this new Indian place IN the hotel! The place was very modern and swanky. You can make a reservation right on the web site, or at the hotel. We showed up at 7:30 and didn't need a reservation. We were hoping for chicken tikka masala and palek paneer, but no such luck. So we set out to try some new stuff. After talking to the waiter, who was very cool and extremely helpful, we decided on some things he suggested that were VERY similar to what we were looking for. So, we decided on Lamb Rogan Josh(£12), Butter Chicken Masala (£11), Paneer Lababdar (£9) Plain naan (£2.50), and Steamed Basamati rice (2 orders £3 each). I had a bottle of Pale Ale, not sure what kind. My wife had a glass of Pino Grigio. Everything was incredible. The butter chicken masala was very similar, except maybe not as 'tomatoey' as traditional tikka masala. The lamb rogan josh was bursting with deep flavors and the lamb was a good cut of meat that was very tender. The paneer lababdar was a vegetarian dish with big chunks of paneer cheese and a really rich sauce. We ate until we were full and ate some more. Took a break and ate some more! Spent $114, but it was wort it. SOOO good. Can't wait to be back.

There was a two+ hours gap between the wedding ceremony and the reception and we decide to give Annayu a try. That was the best decision we had made. The staff was very pleasant and service was top notch. The ambiance of Annayu is trendy with a touch of formal. It was blended well. We had the Butter Chicken Masala, Chicken Poussin, Lamb Boti Kebab and Garlic Naan. The authentic tastes in these dishes just blew us away. Each dish was very delicious and perfectly prepared. The Chicken Poussin Tandoori was soft and spicy and just melted the tastes in my mouth. The Butter Chicken Masala had the perfect amount of creamy sauce preserving the tastes of Indian spices making it a perfect match for the Garlic Naan. We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate there twice in the same evening. Terrific experience!

Fantastic Indian Food!…read more Wow, I was stuck in a terrible layover and I felt disappointed, nothing to do, and nothing to eat. Then I took a look at Yelp and found Takaa Tak! Wow! Excellent service, I was immediately sat in their last available table, the restaurant was lively. Every table had what looked like a happy group enjoying tasty food. While the restaurant was full, I was able to enjoy myself, it was NOT too loud and service was fast. I had food in my belly and I was out of the place within 30 minutes! They did not rush me, I rushed myself. I certainly want to be back, possibly booking myself another overnight layover just to enjoy a meal there!

BEST INDIAN FOOD EVER!!!…read more Just went here for lunch with my husband. We're staying at the Marriott just down the street. We were recommended a different Indian restaurant within walking distance from our hotel, however upon arrival we found it was closed until 5pm (as many Indian restaurants do). So we did a quick search of nearby Indian restaurants (because now I had my heart set on it) and found that there are TONS to choose from. We chose this one because it had indoor seating. We were the second customers in the dining room. It's clean and nicely decorated. We ordered the garlic naan, some samosas, I ordered the Korma chicken and my husband ordered the Tikka chicken. We ordered a bowl of basmati rice on the side. It doesn't come with rice, but the bowl is very big, more than enough for 2 people, and only £3.50. Everything was so delicious! I feel like that was the best samosa I've ever had! My korma chicken was so delicious! I was almost able to eat all of it. That's probably the most I've been able to eat in an Indian restaurant! I dipped my naan in the curry sauce. It was sweet and creamy. Absolutely perfect in every way! I'm coming back to London in a year and I'm definitely coming back to this restaurant again.
