So happy with this small business. Competitive pricing and no hidden fees. Acme came recommended by three friends who had all used Acme in the past year. Sue was easy to work with for scheduling and Paul came by in person to asses our move for estimate. He estimated 10 hours (including 1.5 hours travel time) to move us from a two story house to a three story condo on a hill and he was spot on. Paul estimated the size of truck he'd need perfectly. Paul, Anthony, Jorge and Junior were friendly and polite and really hustled for us. We appreciated how patient and accommodating they were when we changed our minds about which floor we wanted some of our furniture on. They took care to protect banisters/corners and problem solved when a large couch wouldn't fit through our small front door, carrying up a hill on the side of the condo to the second story back patio slider (they were even prepared to hoist it over the front balcony if needed). There is NO greater moving company than Acme. We have used their services more than once and have never been disappointed. Paul and his team work so unbelievably hard. Not only do they work hard but their work ethic is amazing. They carefully handle each piece, regardless of whether it is new or expensive. They make every customer feel at ease. Acme moved us from North County to the Inland Empire back on May 1st of this year. Writing this review has been nagging at me to complete, sorry for the tardiness guys. Our refrigerator is pretty good size and it was in storage. Needless to say it needed lots of cleaning. The garage entry to our house is pretty narrow so Paul and his team took the doors off along with each piece to fit it in. Here is the best part - instead of leaving the pieces for us to figure out how to assemble, they put our fridge back together. Plus it was time consuming! NO other moving company would do that; at least not without a huge additional cost. Our fridge looks brand new now and works perfectly. We have a piano which is heavy of course, which they moved three times. They moved a couch/love seat up to the loft, complete with book shelf and a lot of totes and furniture. These guys are incredible!!! They deserve your business. Trust me, they are worth whatever the cost is for your specific move. You won't be sorry! We have personally used them four times if you include the trips to our storage. We met them through a move at work years ago so they are not a fly-by-the night establishment. A very positive experience. Acme Moving was fantastic when they moved my 81 year old mother's belongings from her home into a storage unit. I have used other moving companies before, but will use only Acme for any future moves. The crew of three men, including the company owner, Paul, were fabulous. They arrived on time, made an inspection of the house to confirm exactly what was being moved and what was to stay, and then started right in. No one stood around talking, wasting time or complaining about the number of boxes, or the stairs. All the boxes, large furniture and small furniture were handled very carefully, as well as wrapped and padded. They paid attention to detail. For instance, Paul noticed that the weights on my mother's grandfather clock had been pulled too high to remove them for transport. So, he took pillows, towels, etc. and packed the inside of the clock. They packed the storage unit with an aisle to make it easier to access the boxes. That will be so appreciated in the future. Another positive was that none of the three men stank of cigarette smoke or last night's booze. I have used moving companies before where I would swear the crew had just walked out of a bar. Also, there was no foul language or inappropriate talk, and they were very personable with my mother. I will not hesitate to recommend Acme Moving to anyone. read more

This is my 2nd LARGE move with Acme (both moves were 3000 sq ft houses). I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are fair, responsible, timely, considerate and work like dogs. I'm not sure how they can work this hard day after day (when you are in a moving mind set, you recognize hard work). I have referred them to person after person and each and every one is equally impressed. They have now moved my grand piano twice with skill and professionalism. The crew was even better on the last move and I didn't think that was even possible. If anyone was to give them a poor review, I'd want to know why because this is a business that does business in a new world with old school relationship mentality. We moved today from a large house after living there for 13 years into a smaller home. Carlsbad to Carlsbad. Paul and his team worked for 2 STRAIGHT DAYS because we had so much stuff. It was actually ridiculous/borderline embarrassing how much stuff we had moved. We were around all day because the kids are off from school. I also felt very ill and am recovering from knee surgery. Where I am going with this is I didn't mind having all these people around when I felt so terrible and had my kids home! They were so sweet and kind and amazing. The men were very careful and professional. They had all the tools they needed to make sure the move goes as smoothly and quickly as possible. My wife called, and they saved us - by scheduling a truck to come at 8am Saturday morning. They showed up about 15 mins early and began moving us promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend Acme Moving to anyone moving. They came recommended by a friend and lived up to the hype! They were very professional, timely and provided great service. I had 3 movers including Paul, and all were very friendly and hard working. Sue was great in coordinating time/service and a joy to speak with and very friendly. The truck was large, they came on-time and were completely prepared with every safeguard possible to protect our belongings, and saved me extra money with ample wardrobe boxes. They were experts fitting all our belongings into the truck. The price rate was great, however my total expense was higher than expected, but I believe that was more due to challenges of getting into my new place from where the truck could access and fact they took such care of my possessions within the truck. They did not cut corners and I would rather pay a little more in move than have any of my possessions damaged. These are the best movers ever! They are reliable, professional and so careful with all of your furniture and items! I have used them for several moves and my famiily has used them to move long distance as far back as 1993. I recently moved (again) and would not consider anywhere but Acme Moving. They work hard and are very personable. I also have a piano and that they have moved for me several times, up and down at least twelve stairs. Don't bother getting estimates from other companies. We wasted our time doing that and I would have to agree with the review that said "There is NO greater moving company than Acme" (posted by Linnea S. -- I wish I could put her statement in bold). We moved locally (a Carlsbad to Carlsbad move) and these guys worked carefully nonstop to make sure our move was completed in one day, which was not easy given we had accumulated a lot of junk from living in the house for almost 17 years. We still had a lot of loose ends when they arrived but everything was packed up and delivered safely. We'd give them 10 stars if we could. Each person had a great attitude, amazing work ethic, and worked with blazing speed. Every item was wrapped and protected. I have a rare antique upright grand piano and have moved several times with it. This is the ONLY moving company I trust with it and the only one who has ever done the job right. In the past, I've had people trying to lug it, trying to turn it on its side, people who have chipped a corner of it, etc. Acme utilizes an item that I believe the owner invented, which turns moving this large heavy piano into a smooth two man job. Last year we had the company move us. The moving was fine; but we were not charged the rate we were given, we had to pay twice as much as quoted. I feel that they will do a bait and switch on you. You will be stuck because they have your belongings. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
