I can't say much for TCGs, but every time I'm in the shop, there is always some activity with trading/selling or games being played on the handful of tables set up in the shop. My son and I have been RC customers here for nearly a year and the owner (Michael) and crew are friendly and willing. There is a good selection of popular ARRMA, Losi, Axial and Traxxas vehicles and just about every single new release is in the shop within a few days. There is a curated collection of popular race vehicles behind the counter as well as Kyosho Mini-Z and handful of more specialized brands that only enthusiast hobbyist would even know about like Xpress, MST, and Corally to name a few. There is a small selection of planes and helicopters, and I've been able to have the shop order kits that are more obscure and have it be available within a week or so. I've found the prices to be the same as what is advertised on larger online retailers like Horizon Hobby, A-Main, or Tower Hobbies; Hobby Addicts does have a loyalty program, so I do appreciate that the business understands your patronage is important to them. More importantly, every dollar spent at a local business ends up within the community, so come on out and support your local hobby shop!

People, this store values players and community to the MAX. Redbeard (shop owner) might be a little stiff, but damn it if he isn't generous and fair to players and event goers. My mans literally discounts some of his product if you rip onsite. He also has a dog! Very good pup. Nikko breathes literal life into this store. If you have problems with him, you'll have problems with the community :). Be nice to him and he repays your kindness tenfold. There's another employee there who isn't exactly a "ray of sunshine and joy" but if you truly expect every customer service employee to treat you like a king or queen while doing their job, I'm sorry but you're either a sociopath or just straight psychotic. Their level of respect and fairness for the table top and card gaming community is genuinely unparalleled in the Tri Valley. Go to one of their events or game nights, try and make some friends, play a few games, and you will have fun, I guarantee it. Rip a few packs and enjoy the vibe that no other game shop will bring. If you're looking to buy product to flip, wait in line at Target you troglodyte. No one wants you here :)

Nikko's an absolutely wonderful person to interact with and gives me a great experience every time I come in, and Kellan ( the owner) is similar to the guy I hate but tolerable to interact with so that just leaves one person. Each time i'm here he's rude like i did something personally to upset him and all i do is let him know that my list is ready like we're told to and he treats me like i'm the rude one being inconsiderate and let it be known that the times i have patiently waited to tell him my list is ready he rudely tells me to interrupt him etc. etc. the almighty laptop this or that so to that i have no idea what the efffffff this guys problem is. What drew the line with me and ultimately made me decide to write this review is when i last came in for a couple cards. We do the dance "ok i'll get to it when i get to it" cool so i wait, now normally the second i see him i've come to just decide to leave and wait for a txt from them to come in but i absolutely could not do that this time. Idk what his deal is i just know you're going to WAIT. I get that hey, you have lists that need to be pulled there's a line yada yada i get it but the last couple times i've been there he just talks and talks and talks until Nikko comes in and then come to find out that literally it was just my list that he needed to get to. WTF. And my last experience with this guy was no different i waited in the store cause i had no other choice. Got there at 5 and left Galaxy Games at 6:30 effing waiting listening to this guy just talk and talk and you guessed it talk some more. I've been there before you know, shift's about to end i'll leave the last of my work to the next guy, terrible habit but i've done it. But literally sitting on a list of cards you can count with one hand for an hour and a half is completely left field and i hope you wake up one day soon with the rest of your hair gone. Definitely come here when ANYONE other than this guy is working and you'll know who i'm talking about if you go to Galaxy Games.

The store is packed with Legos from 2015-26 and it's convenient when u need a Minifig or set and not to mention the old vintage sets as well. The workers are rather chill, they're really there just to help you find what you need and go on with their day. The prices on sum of the figures may be a little high but it's understandable when you figure out what the figure goes for and I'd say it's not as bad as other resellers. Overall this store is amazing and I love it because of the over joyed 9 year old me losing his shit over Legos. I enjoyed each second of being in there would recommend

He wanted to stop by to check out the RC cars and boats, and even he was surprised by how much the store had changed since the last time he visited! There was honestly so much to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! My husband already knew about this place, but as a first-time visitor, I was really impressed. Even though RC cars aren't really my hobby, I still had a good time looking around and watching everyone race. Between the huge selection, indoor track, rock-crawling area, repair services, and friendly customer service, we'll definitely be back!

I originally had my pool deck installed back in 2009 and I wanted to match for my current project. Kevin helped coordinate a special-order request by working with the manufacturer's representative to especial order the exact product. After about two months, the pavers arrived and were delivered. However, I noticed right away that the quality was not the same as my original pavers. Since it was a large order, I was very stressed and immediately contacted Kevin to see what could be done. Kevin quickly arranged for a sales representative to come to my home and inspect the pavers. After reviewing them, the representative explained that the manufacturing materials had changed compared to the original product. As an end user, I would not have known this difference or how it might affect the final result. Unfortunately, the return request was initially denied. Kevin didn't stop there--he escalated the issue to higher management on my behalf. Within just a few days, the return was approved. He then helped me quickly reorder a different paver option so my contractors could continue the project without delay. Throughout the entire process, Kevin was extremely responsive, patient, and supportive. In addition, when I visited their showroom, I purchased some natural stone pieces on clearance for my patio steps. After the installation was partially done, I realized the color did not match my patio as expected, and Kevin kindly accepted the return without any hassle. Overall, Kevin was incredibly kind and helpful, and the rest of the Peninsula Building Materials team was also very professional and supportive. Their pricing was also unbeatable for the quality and service provided. I highly recommend them for excellent customer service and their willingness to go the extra mile. Thank you so much, Kevin!
