    Spaghetti a la vongole

I booked this restaurant for my anniversary and was very pleasantly surprised. It's a great special occasion option. It is a busy spot, and can be loud right by the entrance, but was quiet at our table. The ambience is great, very romantic. They have a great wine list and cocktail list. I got a glass of white which was great and paired well with the rest of my meal. The food was great. We started with the burrata special with grapefruit, honey and pistachios. It was absolutely amazing, we devoured it. I also loved the bread (and it was free!) and it kept flowing. For my main, I got the spaghetti a la vongole. It was so delicious, very well-balanced, buttery (but not oily) and the clams were great. There was plenty of bread to sop up all of that great sauce. For dessert, I got the tiramisu. It was so good, one of the best I have had in a long time. And since it was our anniversary, the desserts came out with a candle. Our server also brought us a small bag of biscotti which was a great touch.

I really wanted to give this place five stars as I was super excited to finally try this restaurant. My husband and I have been to Annapolis multiple times. We passed by this restaurant pretty often and really weren't quite certain what it was. This past weekend he and I decided that we were going to try a new Italian restaurant in our favorite city in Maryland, Annapolis. The waitress we had was wonderful. She did an excellent job explaining everything to us. The problem started when she went over the specials, I decided to go with a seafood special that included pasta. However, when it came out to me, it was risotto, not pasta. My husband decided to take my food and eat it, rather than send it back and it have to be re-cooked or who knows what. He said it was pretty good. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the pieces of lobster that were in the risotto were very good. When the waitress came back, we brought it to her attention and you could tell she was pissed for us. She then brought out a small piece of Cheesecake. That was really nice of her, like I said you could tell she was upset. The order was not put together the way she sent it in. My husband and I didn't make a fuss over the order being incorrect. In fact he is a real MVP for eating the risotto. My husband's food on the other hand was delicious. His pasta was perfect. It was fresh and the sauce on it, was delicious and it was not a large portion. We both had a drink. the bread was delicious and the ambience in the restaurant was amazing. I don't think I will go back only because I do believe there are other places to try and the prices were pretty expensive. My hubby and I will definitely spend money on food, but I have been to nicer places and not spent quite as much on pasta. 3 1/2 stars.

    Who wants Italian food?!

Sometimes you just need a place 'with a tablecloth'. Had enough of takeaway and fastish food. This is the real deal. Delicious food professionals serving ... great place for special occasions including 'just a good meal without hassle!' Fresh ingredients and nice decor ... alas not the dessert menu for me , not choco centric enuff! And no cannoli

This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in DC until they closed so I was so glad to hear they reopened in Annapolis! My husband and I made the drive for a date night and were so glad we did. We started off with the baked ricotta and cheese balls that were to die for. So cheesy and saucy. Was a great way to start the meal. When then split the penne alla vodka and steak trio with asparagus. All three were delicious. The penne alla vodka was so cheesy and flavorful, maybe the best I've had! The steaks were all cooked to a perfect medium rare, as requested. We made sure to save room for dessert and split the dessert sampler which was a fabulous choice! You had the ability to try a little bit of everything and all 4 were delectable! The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. We will be back!

    Chilean Seabass
    Kendall W.

The Chilean sea bass was hands down the best thing I tried -- cooked perfectly with a super flaky, buttery inside and a nice crispy edge. It had this light, fresh flavor that didn't need a ton of extras to shine, and every bite just melted in my mouth. You can tell they really know how to handle their seafood here. The lobster and shrimp risotto was... fine. The seafood tasted fresh, and it was creamy like you'd expect, but it didn't wow me the way the sea bass did. Solid, but not something I'd come back just for.

    Espresso Martini

This place was a nice vibe! I loved the ambiance. I walked into this restaurant on a whim and sat at the bar. Now, the bartender closer to me wasn't paying me any attention at first but we were all good once the other bartender came over to assist me. They started me off wit the bread and olive oil. I wasn't the biggest fan. The Espresso martini was pretty good. I ordered the Pici alla Fiaccheraia, which was tasty. The pasta itself was thick and the sauce was spicy with a hint of garlic. I also ordered the Filetto al Mirtillo, a filet mignon covered in a blueberry reduction. I was surely surprised. It was the bomb. At first, I was hesitant hearing the flavors but it did not disappoint. I was so intrigued. I actually can't wait to come back and try the steak again.

I was passing by and noticed the beautiful bar. I stopped in for one of their premier cocktails. Their Espresso Martini is made with in-house homemade coffee liqueur. It is excellent!

The chilean Seabass special was amazing, a bit pricy to be a regular eat out location. But perfect for a date night out or special occasion

Full On Craft Eats. The Toast online ordering system was easy to navigate and adorned with pictures of every menu item. I could not get past the onion rings on the starter menu hoping they would taste as good as they looked. My friend offered to split the Slammin Salmon sandwich and onion rings since she has had it before and never finished the entire thing. I took her up on it and the order was placed. A quick ask for mom to grab it on the way home and the food made its way back quickly. WOW is all I can say. When you order food to go there is a level of expectation that it will not be as good as it is at the restaurant, especially fries and onion rings. But in this instance WOW. Talk about food that travels well. Fourteen minutes away and the food was still warm, the onion rings were so crisp, and the garlic and dill aioli and onion ring sauce were just right. The Slammin Salmon was served on ciabatta bread that was not too soft not too hard, with salmon cooked perfectly. The lemon dill aioli was a game changer so much that my friend's advice to order extra was well received and committed to memory. The onion rings lived up to the hype, cooked perfectly with a crust I cannot even explain. The kind you bite into without losing the entire onion from the breading. Dip it into the sauce and you have a match made in heaven. Half the sandwich was more than enough but the next day I would have loved some leftovers. Now for the extra razzle dazzle. I left to visit a friend in DC and sent him the menu, shared my experience and he was locked in to try. Online ordering was closed since they were closing at 10pm so I called as a last-ditch effort since the anticipation was already there. The nicest most warm individual answered ten minutes before closing and was more than happy to take my order. She even made sandwich recommendations. I quickly arrived at a shopping center that was easy to get in and out of. Walking in you immediately arrive at the counter and takeout area to your left with a nice bar area a short walk past on the right. The cooks and wait staff were having the best time using the 6/7 saying that was all over social media late last year. They were considerate when they noticed I was in the restaurant, but I assured them I loved their energy. I see why the food is so good because the energy shows it was made with great vibes and laughter all around. As I grabbed the bag to leave the hostess stopped me to add another fork and extra napkins since I would need them to add the pickled veggies on my sandwich. Such a nice touch. Thirty plus minutes to DC and the food still did not need to be reheated. The Mai Thai sandwich was a hit with flavors that married well and the onion rings delivered again. The Spicy Thai wings were good for wings but typical. They had a lot to compete with. Full On Craft Eats Annapolis, not to be confused with Rockville, is an experience you will want to repeat again and again. Good food fast that travels well (yes that is a thing). It was creamy and smoky, topped with caviar and came with flatbread style sesame crackers. It was light and savory. My companion ordered the tuna sashimi special. Unless you get there super-early at 4, before the 5pm dinner opening, and then wait in the shorter line. Unless you are having lunch there, and in that case I am guessing it may be the same, ie getting in the cue at 11ish before 12pm. I have had the Spotted Pig pizza and whatever enticing pie specialities they have rotated seasonally. I usually opt for the truffle oil or balsamic glaze on our pizza. I have never needed to tweak their delightful presented ingredients combinations. Their pizzas are that outstanding. Take for instance, a recent summer pizza from the Chef's own garden: "The Cuba Libra pizza ...This white pizza features mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, complemented by pork confit, chile-roasted jicama, pickled red onions, cilantro, and fresh mint." I'd never crave mint on a pizza but if Eastport's Vin 909 is serving it, I'm probably going to enjoy it. If you are the more traditional type, another seasonal pizza featured is the Yankee Pie: "family recipe crust with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta cheese, summer sausage, marinated red peppers and oregano." And yes, please, to another summer, perfect-in-Annapolis feature: "Vaquero Clams: Steamed local little neck clams, English ale, bacon, grilled poblano peppers, garlic guajillo butter, fresh oregano, epazote and cilantro." I love the gigantic Vin 909 featured arugula salad. I also miss their divine french press coffees and Butterscotch Pudding with caramelita points. A little known fact: when I was there, you could purchase extra caramelita points for $2 or $3. Vin 909 is truly the best dining in Annapolis -- or Naptown -- as folks like me say.
