Once I had a strange transmission lurch after a recent service and he told me to bring it by because they had gotten a bad batch of filters. Sure enough, they fixed it and turned around quickly, didn't charge me anything, and it's been trouble-free ever since. I've had my grandfather on my mother's side use them I've had cousins on my grandmother's side use them . it's always been nothing but amazing compliments. My son saved up and bought his first car the dealership he bought it from scammed him and sold him a lemon .(when we pulled the motor there was so much crack sealant and stop leak bound up in the block the mechanic said he has never seen so much) My son was now in debt with the bank for 15 grand the car that he drove for one week with a blown cracked the mechanic mentioned that the cracks on it had to have recently been put in within a month of that time... We had to buy a new motor for it and rebuild it . ( 5K MORE ) three weeks later the transmission went out.... It's on a Nissan Maxima it's one of those CVT transmissions. I called IMT , I was able to speak with Bob directly. that man worked magic the first conversation I had with them he had a brand new transmission there I would have been able to get it in and out but my son had to wait 2 weeks to be able to come up with the funds for the transmission . I called back down there and that transmission had already been sold Bob worked magic and had another one there in 3 days he had my son's vehicle in and out within half a week from that time . With IMT being honest , up front, no beating around the bush the warranty and their service is beyond phenomenal . he made sure that we came in for the checkup They didn't overprice or try to raise the price seeing a young man. my son being 20 years of age now he will continue to use intermountain transmission . I have four boys total and I guarantee you every one of them will use intermountain transmission they have not only locked in a customer for life My children will continue to use them !!! """hopefully not for a long time LOL""""but my grandchildren will use them. it's hard to find honesty these days and true American survice. with their shop located in the hart of SLC they are truly that needle in the haystack. I am not one to take my time and do a review but I honestly have to give these guys 5 stars. I could only try and return the favor and give five minutes of my time for this amazing company. Word of mouth is truly the best advertisement getting somebody's true opinion, feelings and thoughts. I believe is the best form of flattery intermountain transmission /Bob and Brett/ and their family of employees. are amazing , they take pride in their work they're more concerned about their craftsmanship then being concerned with ripping off a customer and moving on to the next one . I took my 1993 F150 to royal a few months ago to have them do my brakes because I didn't have time to do it myself as i am an otr trucker. Upon getting my truck back I discovered that they had not reinstalled the retaining ring for my four-wheel drive hub. I took my truck back to them to have them fix their mistake. A few weeks later they told me there is another issue with my truck. Which they were not wrong about however they try to tell me they had found a brand new steering column which is not made for my truck anymore. I know mechanics. When I pointed this out to them they changed their story and said it was a refurbished one for a $1000 which I had done research on and knew pricing of it. I proceeded to tell them to leave my truck alone and I would have a tow truck come retrieve it. They couldn't tell me what the issue was at all and kept ignoring my calls I had to private my number to get them to answer my calls. They had my truck for over 3 weeks. I get to my truck and discover that the part that was broken was an hour fix and only $40 at autozone! Do not trust them to be honest with what is wrong with your vehicle.

These guys gave me a reasonable quote after diagnosing a problem I knew I had but was not positive what side of engine it was. They sent me a invoice, a tracker so I could see real time when it got worked on and who put it in work. I had purchased my parts before taking so it was just labor time and for my job(exhaust manifold) from the start date to completion was reasonable. Again I am someone who hates anyone touching my car I rather do it myself but if your in a position where you need it done but just don't have the time this place is an option. I can only speak for myself and this one job but if needed I would take my car to them and not worry about being man handled. Fast and cheap is not good, good and fast is not the cheapest, cheap and good is slow and very fast and good is very expensive. Have reasonable expectations. You get what you pay for. Be smart have a grown up conversation. A big flaw is people don't say what they have expectation on and what they need. Sure a shop might get you same day or a week later but all that needs to be discussed up front and your price might reflect that also. I don't write reviews but I sure as s... read them. That's the reason I left one for the next person searching this company. Again I can only speak for myself but for me they did good work at a price that worked for me in the time I needed it done. They started when they said they will and called me the day it was done. I had one question mid job they answered it and finished up no hiccups . Good people at the time of my job being done.

I then arranged to pick it up before the weekend and they agreed to leave it on the street by their shop and lock the key into the truck interior. When I went to pick it up it was way out... Had to make calls to chase it down. I don't trust them with estimates, results of the repairs. or just about anything they tell me. The Owners lived in Idaho and they made it very difficult for me to chase them down and report my dissatisfaction. I'll never use them again.

It's obvious he takes a lot of pride in his work and is very knowledgeable about materials and products as he walked through every part of the car to explain what he did to protect and renew the different types of materials. To start Richard was very short when answering the phone. I took my vehicle into him twice for the…read moresame issue "carburetor" and paid him for both transactions. Once receiving his payment Richard seem to be nicer. But my honest opinion he cut my services short and looked at me as an easy buck. Even after the second encounter he wasn't confident that the issues were fixed in his own work and assumed I would most likely still have to come in and purchase an all new carburetor for him to install being my 3rd time in for the same issue. With carburetors they can be rebuilt, at a cheaper cost. So purchase a brand new one wouldn't be necessary. Just an easier job for him to make money on.
