Very happy with the product -- We added access control to all of our doors enabling us to easily customize permission for entry by time and door. As a church with many volunteers, we have at times lost track of who had a certain key. Now we always know which keys are active and can turn one off at any time. In all, these types of locking systems are a great idea. As a church we are concerned not just with theft and access control, but also with the general safety of our congregation. We have been using Action 1st at our headquarters campus for the past 9 years. They are very attentive, show up when they say they will and most importantly, very good at what they do. They can handle locks, access control system, and door mechanism as a whole. Our corporate office needed a keyless access control system since there was a major problem with key control and lost keys. We had 65 doors that we needed to have access control installed. We emailed a few companies, and Action 1st was the first ones that responded to us to set up a meeting. We met Russell, and he was great! We did a walk through, and he was very thorough and knowledgable. He was also honest with us about what we needed and did not need. During the installation, Action 1st worked quickly. Also, they were able to work around all the meetings that were taking place around the office. Although there were a few unforeseen issues with the building, they did not charge us extra for the additional time that it took. They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves! After they installed all the hardware, one of the techs went over exactly how to do the programming (Which was very easy). They set up all the time zones that we wanted, and taught us how to add in new fobs and employees. In the end, the system that they put in just works, and we are very happy with the service. Christina, who worked with me on logistics and scheduling during the Covid-closure, was understanding and patient with the (re)scheduling that was necessary in order for the installation to take place at our commercial office building. Once it came time for the install, Russell and Wayne worked diligently and thoroughly to make sure they met their projected time frame for completion within 3 business days. They communicated very well with me throughout the process and were pleasant to work with. Action 1st was incredibly helpful from the beginning. Our business needed to boost security, and we were referred to action 1st. They came to our workplace and gave us knowledge of code compliance and suggestions for access control, security cameras, as well as other hardware security that would protect the offices better. We ended up going with 8 doors for access control and 11 security cameras. They began the installation two weeks later. The crew was professional throughout the installation. The service with these guys in on point! We needed an access control system for our office, and we needed it done quickly. Russell from Action 1st responded to me and met with us the next day. He went over several options with us (Which is nice because we didn't know that these systems could do so much). We started with 22 doors, and then later added 5 more doors, which was easy. Once we approved the quote, the Action 1st guys were at our office the next week installing everything. The biggest fear we had was that we would be controlling the software, but Russell took his time in going over the system. It was actually very easy to use got it in about 20 minutes. We have already recommended Action 1st to a company in the building across the street and would use them again if needed. read more

I found Action 1st Loss Prevention to be fairly ineffective and​ without​ much integrity. I eventually used Kustom Locksmith Services from Laguna Hills, and they were wonderful. ​​After my painter installed my new front door hardware, I had trouble unlocking it. I ​asked ​Action 1st​ to​ fix it. ​They​ made some improvements but​ ​the latch was​​ still quite stiff and the key had to be jiggled.​ ​They ​said to let ​it​​ ​loosen ​awhile​ Two weeks later I​ was tired of using both thumbs to push the latch and​ had them out again. More improvement but still​,​ stiff ​latch ​and a lot of play on the key. ​Again, ​"Need to let it ease with use." ​Seven weeks​ later I'd had it and, on a good recommendation, called Kustom Locksmith. Within 40 minutes my door was operating​ perfectly. ​​ I​ called Action 1st and asked for a partial refund. ​T​hey told me I should have had them come out again, and then​,​ that I was out of warranty. (Really? a third ​visit?​ and ​didn't they say to ​let it loosen​ over time?) ​I won't be calling them again.​ read more
