We've been getting cleans every 4 weeks for about a year now. All of the staff are very friendly and considerate, and the quality of cleans is consistently good. Manager Stephanie's communication is great, and she also visited once to do a quality control inspection after the clean. Owner Davlyn isn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and cover a cleaning when they are temporarily short staffed. Maybe due to the numerous (well-earned) high reviews here, there can be a wait list for new clients. It's worth the wait, especially if you are looking for recurring cleans every 1, 2 or 4 weeks. They're very thorough about understanding a new client's needs and ensuring that they have enough staff to maintain the quality of cleaning before taking on another client. They care very much about their clients, and it shows! The team even sent us a baby card after our newborn arrived home from the hospital! We are moving to the East Bay later this year, which unfortunately is outside of the ACS service area, so congrats to the next person to get our spot! We hope to be back in the South Bay sometime in the future if the housing market calms down, and will be looking to get back on the client list at that point! read more

I am a years-long customer of Action Cleaning Service and I want to assure you that the other 5/5 reviews you can read here are on point. ACS works hard to earn every word of praise you see. Quality of clean, scheduling, reliability, responsiveness and safety are all top notch. And, they go above and beyond. For example, an ACS cleaning tech noticed a hairline crack near the base of a bathroom toilet had appeared since the last clean. The tech notified me immediately and showed me the crack. I called a plumber and they told me it was a good thing this was caught early, or there could have been a much bigger problem down the road. There were other incidents of a maintenance problem being noticed by a tech when I wasn't home, so a note was left AND I also got a call from the ACS office notifying me of the problem. Now this is my second review in like 14 years so, there's that. I usually don't bother unless something went really bad or really well. This will be the well category. I had used ACS for a year, I had 3 cleaning tech's over that time, Angel was the bestisus. Yes, that's a word. I like the business model set up by the founder of ACS, Davlyn. Same day and time and tech each appointment. Mine was once monthly. I had to cancel at the end of the year due to my son moving back in for the next two years going back to school, it just wasn't financially feasible. The cleans were always spot on as far as what I thought was clean anyways. I do see lots of reviews with rescheduling as a main sticking point as to a 3 or 4 star review versus 5. I work in the service industry myself and what many people don't understand is that it is a high turnaround profession. Like teacher's in academia, and other service oriented industries, often times the job can be considered overworked, underpaid and underappreciated. So, I have no issues with this aspect of the job. I had an initial hiccup on the deep clean, Davlyn and two other's came out the next day and dealt with it with no excuses and that was that. Few owners/founders will offer to come out personally and fix whatever your issue is and not make excuses. This company is not in a good place to be accepting new clients right now. I had this service for a couple years and the cleanings were good, but there was a lot of technician turn over. Today I was called and told that they were no longer able to provide services. This is the first time I have been dropped by a service due to staffing challenges. I am super happy with Action cleaning. I originally called a year ago for an over the phone quote but my husband wasn't on board. I called again a few weeks before our baby was due to get started. They begin with a home estimate from the owner who carefully looks at your home at its current condition before offering a quote. I felt the pricing was very reasonable. It was a couple week wait to get the original quote, you are committed to getting service if you are willing to wait, which is good news for Action. They are actually expanding to meet customer needs, which I found by calling around is rare. Punctual, thorough, and everything is exactly back in place when I get home. Inevitably, cleaners change over the course of time, but they pass along special issues and feedback. When Angel did her first cleaning, I started to go over these things with her, and I saw that she already had notes and knew everything I was telling her. We get the monthly cleaning service, though they also offer more frequent cleaning services to meet your needs (weekly, every 2 weeks etc etc). Very professional, timely, and reliable. Just a follow up to my review and Davlyn's response. It was Davlyn herself alone who did the cleaning, there was no other technician. And she did not contact me to fix the situation. The total cost was $245 for about 5.5 hours, it basically boils down to $45 per hour per person, it is overpriced considering my house is not that dirty plus it is not a move out cleaning. Now I've found a good cleaner from Craig list, she charges only $110 for the 1st time, and $100 afterwards, and she's been doing very good job for less than half of Davlyn's rate. read more

Just called them for information and a quote and I was told approximately some $300 for my first cleaning. That's ridiculously priced for a 1 bed 2 bath apartment in San Jose. Mind you this is not even a house with a yard or anything great. It's just a plain and simple apartment with barely any furniture and no pets. It took me awhile to write this review-serveral years and two other cleaning companies later I feel I can be objective. The cleaning part was absolutely great- when it happened. Action Cleaning would call and reschedule almost every week, they would TELL me when they were coming rather than ask. Usually it was on an entirely different day. When I cancelled they were surprised because they said they didn't know I was unhappy. I expressed this unhappiness every time they rescheduled. Sometimes I could and sometimes I could not reschedule but I always indicated that it was late notice (same day often!) and not the day I selected for the regularly scheduled cleaning. I mean come on it was an ongoing schedule, not a surprise to them. Also they had this extensive contract that pretty much put everything on the home owner but did not have a reciprocal service level agreement for them (not ok if client cancelled, but ok if they cancelled) I've worked with two other cleaning companies since, both far more professional. If you are ok with dealing with a certain amount of rudeness from the owners, (it's not just me, read the unhappy reviews, they are mean girls) and have an appetite for ambiguity and don't need a firm schedule, then Action Cleaning will provide you with exceptional cleaning. There is no problem with the lovely people who actually do the cleaning. If you need to know they will be there as scheduled, this is not the company for you. read more

We got in with Action Cleaning services from this January. The first deep cleaning was great in accordance with all the other reviewers. But from the second cleaning is where it started going downhill. Uncleaned sinks, partially cleaned tubs, the floors used to look like its not even vacuumed properly with clumps of hair and dirt visible to the eyes that I had to again vacuum and wet mop the whole house. On top of it, the owner Davlyn is highly rude, no good customer service at all. I was concerned about the floors because I had tried a couple other services and they always left streaks. Davlyn promised they'd do it until they got it done right...and they did!! Davlyn has managed her business very professionally in all of my experience and responded in ways that I thought went above and beyond. We've been working with Davlyn and Action Cleaning for about 5 years now, and we couldn't be happier. We've used her for our regular house maintenance and our move out from our previous place. Our house sparkles after an Action Cleaning day. I'm not sure what happened with Tammy L's experience, but in my experience, Davlyn has always been very reachable via both phone and email, and very very responsive, and responsible. When we were first looking for a service, the biggest thing I was worried about was whether I would trust them with house keys and regular access to my house. 5 years is a pretty good testament to that trust. Our cleaner, Anna, is always polite, energetic, reliable, well-organized, on-time, and thorough. When there's been a reason to communicate with the office, like when our cleaning day falls on a major holiday, we get an email notifying us of the closure, and there is "someone there who cares" offering an alternate cleaning day. I used Action Cleaning Service for a few months and was generally very pleased with the work of the women cleaning my house and Davlyn's quick response times (by email and phone), as well as the ladies' professionalism. I loved coming home on the days my house was cleaned... it always looked amazing! The only one issue I ran into was the way they cleaned my floors... which was I believe by a spray and dry push mop. The floors always looked clean, but I noticed they were left incredibly dirty when I walked on them with white socks. I brought this issue to Davlyn's attention and she immediately responded and explained they wanted to make sure not to damage my floors, but they could try a different cleaning strategy in the future. Unfortunately, I discontinued service and wasn't able to see if this different type of cleaning was better than before. Overall, I would definitely use them again in future! I was so happy when I found this service. My hands were tied as I just got tons of chemo and a stem cell transplant. I am unable to clean for 6 months yet Im not allowed to be in a dirty environment. I am a single mom and my house was in need of some good deep cleaning. Davlyn is doing a great thing by providing this service to cancer patients there is no way I could afford anything like this at this time. Davlyn called me right after I was approved for this program and was very pleasant. I feel strange about accepting help but she made me feel totally comfortable like she was happy to help me out. She came in for home inspection and was super friendly and professional. I instantly felt comfortable with this situation. We scheduled an appt for the first cleaning. Candice is the girl that came to clean. I am not allowed to be around while my house is being cleaning so luckily I felt totally comfortable with her here. She said it usually takes about 4 hours but since it was her first time it may take longer. I left and came back and she was still working away.
