Been coming to this location for awhile. The food is good. The yogurt used to be good, now they usually don't have a lot of flavors, never much variety, and the quality doesn't seem as good. I was there just yesterday and there were customers eating indoors with their dog, and the dog was on a chair drinking water from a bowl on the table, paws on the table. Pretty positive that's a health code violation. It grosses me out, not interested in going back. Everyone working seemed to just be adoring the dog and not care that it's not ok. read more

Active culture was a go-to spot for me for a long time (at least once or twice a week). The food is good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they no longer accept cash. Super disappointing when you cannot use the official currency of your country to purchase a meal. All of you who care about good HEALTH FOOD like me, BE AWARE... This is a great place for juice which is what I bought & it was great... BUT it always annoys me when a business writes on their website & in their menus that they are a healthy place with healthy, quality ingredients, when meanwhile they're not! They're speaking like experts, but leading people astray. All the frozen yogurt has corn syrup & natural flavors (which are not natural... natural means it could be as low as 10% natural), & some have artificial flavors & dyes like Red #40, Blue #1. The first hint that this place wasn't healthy to me was the sour gummy worms & gummy bear toppings for the frozen yogurt. I came here because I read on their website ... "If you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, raw, cleansing or simply looking for food that is not over processed or filled with chemicals, dyes or hydrogenated oils then you have come to the right place!" So I bought a juice. The frozen yogurts looked interesting & I thought it was like Pressed Juicery's Freeze (frozen soft serve juices & nut milks) so I sampled only one. It was very sweet so I asked to see the ingredients on all of them. They showed me their binder that has the ingredients for the food they serve. Most restaurants/health food stores that make fresh prepared foods have a binder available to show us in case we have allergies, so we can see every ingredient & decide if we can/will eat it. Unfortunately I TRUSTED Active Culture because of what they said on their website & I saw they had fresh juices & whole foods, I thought everything would be fresh, whole & healthy. I am willing & happy to pay more money to companies who make healthy food. A GOOD health food store or restaurant NEVER sells products with artificial flavors, dyes, corn syrup, sour gummy worms (which has all 3 in them), etc. I'm glad Active Culture uses active cultures, & whole foods, but when you add these ingredients, for me, I can't trust this place to be healthy. Artificial (& "natural") flavors are excitotoxins that are bad for the brain, causing the many brain problems in our country, including ADD & ADHD. Read the book Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills written by Neurologist Russell Blaylock, MD. Because there is fresh juice & whole foods, I made it 2*, but personally I probably should make it 1* because there is either deception or I give the benefit of the doubt that they don't know... but it's not an excuse in my opinion. read more
