This is normally my favorite place to grab a healthy bite however I will never again visit the San Clemente location. I called in my order and was told that it would be done in 15 minutes (I ordered a shake and one bowl) I arrive it's somewhat empty and have to wait 50 more minutes inside. People ordered the same exact bowl as I did and received their order significantly before I did. Their system seemed completely unorganized and it will be a shame that I'll never return. I asked multiple times for them to check on my order which they never did and when I received my food I never once was told that they were sorry for the inconvenience. Friendly staff, fast service. All I had was a smoothie (the Pick Me Up) & it was pretty tasty. My sons had the yogurt & wolfed them down. I came here once, spent $42 for lunch for two, and promptly went into anaphylactic shock from spending so much. Seriously though, this place is so pricey, I could only justify it the one time. However, I will say, it's worth checking out if only to replicate at home. I've used their smoothie menu many a time to recreate at home, and I love making the Wholesome Bowl as a substitute for my normal quesadilla or other cheesy dinner. Also, their Coconut Bliss shake is awesome, so thick and coconutty. Make your own smoothie if you want to go off menu, they will deliver! I always order the grassroots burger with cheese; it's the best vegetarian patty I've ever had. The naked coconut and date are two of my favorite shakes and the salads are so fresh and hearty. I will continue to come back for the grassroots burger with cheese, for being vegetarian, it's one if the closest resemblance to eating a meat burger. read more

I understand things happen and an establishment can't be 100% perfect all the time. So I hold no grudges whatsoever . My bf and I were in San Clemente and were craving frozen yogurt, and yelp directed me here to this cute serve yourself yogurt shop...street parking is hard to come by, but they do have a small lot in the back. They had many flavors....even more than your standard yogurt shop. I had peanut butter, and cookies and cream. My bf had cake batter, vanilla, and red velvet. All of the flavors we had were amazing! They had about 15 flavors avaliable total....Another one i wanted to try was the carmel popcorn. Toppings are typical yogurt store toppings.....candy and fresh fruit. They also sell acai bowls which I've always wanted to try. We are on a quest to find the best frozen yogurt in Orange County and velvet yogurt is right up there! Since the move across the street, they are out of many flavors,machines broken down, trash cans overflowing and the store is VERY DIRTY. 45 minutes before closing, they begin stacking chairs, tables stacked upside down and toppings are being put away. It is so difficult to find healthy safe food for me and my children at a restaurant, so the options are limited. Active culture meets and exceeds as far as their ingredients and mindfulness. If some of the menu items could be priced lower... To make this dining experience available to everyone. If safe food is too expensive many people will continue to opt for cheaper food. It turned out my card number had been stolen and my account was zeroed out.
