I've been a member for years and today I recently tried my first class. It was the Perinatal Yoga class. It was absolutely horrible. I mean unsafe horrible! I am going to give the water prenatal class a go too...I was so extremely disappointed. Poor body mechanics, no breathing exercises to start, and no cool down. No wonder ever person in the class was there for the first time. I can't imagine people returning to do this class. read more

The club is a great club. The issue is their billing. I moved away and for multiple months they have continued to automatically bill me in error. The right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing. read more

RUDE! They continuously lose your payments and then you can't go to the gym because THEY lost it. They renew your contract annually without even notifying you. Great facility but not worth the attitude and unorganized billing. Would not recommend to friend. read more

I have been a member since shortly after they first opened for business. It is a clean facility with nice equipment and good classes. The pool is very nice The only problem I have had with this facility is they constantly cancel classes at the last minute. I find out the class was cancelled after having driven there to take a class. They never post online that the class is canceled. Just today I went there, after looking online at the schedule, and the class has been canceled. This is a continuing problem! This facility needs to have more teachers who can fill in for teachers who don't show up! The gym is first rate for my needs. Because I don't work I go mid-morning, when there's no waiting for any equipment. The pool is great. They offer a plethora of classes, including meditation and Feldenkrais, yoga and pilates in all levels. The trainers are willing to answer quick questions when they pass and I'm not in good form. Everyone is friendly. The showers and (women) locker rooms are super clean, maybe right after rush hour they could use a little clean up. (But I honestly believe that some members are just slobs and if they picked up after themselves even that wouldn't be an issue.) As far as the year-commitment membership issue is concerned: Ok, so that might be different than elsewhere, but when I signed the contract the employee repeated at least three times that 1) it's a year contract, unless you bring a physician's note that you can't do the exercises they offer or you move more than 25 mi away, and 2) you need to supply your updated CC info when your current card on file expires and 3) it's auto-renew unless you cx it. No secrets, nothing to be upset about. I decided it was for me, and it would be an incentive to go. I think this gym is awesome and I don't regret for one minute that I signed this contract. After I signed up I made a note in my calendar to review my happiness 11 months down the line so that I could cx if I wanted to after the contract was up. They have a babysitting service which people w/ kids seems to use frequently. What's the problem? read more

This was once a very nice place that had the feel of a gentleman's club but after the earthquake and the new management took over it has gone the other way. Higher fees, less service, less staff, it all adds up to a diminished experience for more money. The Men's locker room has needed repairs since Aug 24th, nothing doing still, doesn't seem like a big issue to me. read more

I like this place. They have a nice set of facilities from gym to swimming pool. Reception is awful. They just do not respond or chat with a customer. Waiting time is unusually long for a line with one or two customers. They gave me a sheet to call the office but there is no phone number on the sheet so how am I supposed to call. So I had to go to the web site. It has a nice looking but when I tried to get the information, it was awfully hard to find it out. For your information, it seems they have different offices. Swimming academy is different from the main office, so you will need to call them. Please update if you know the information. read more

While this gym has a lot to offer - they trap you into auto renewing your contract and then not letting you out. Like most busy people - I forgot when my membership anniversary date was - and yes, I'm*trapped into another annual contract. I missed the renewal date by a month and was basically total tough sh*t. Now - why would a gym want people working out there - who don't want to be there? I'm going to ask for a copy of my contract to see what the out clauses look like - and perhaps get my lawyer involved. read more

Great facility with lots of equipment, classes, helpful staff. Clean and well maintained. Others complained about the automatic annual renewal but when I first signed up they made it very clear. I just put a reminder on my calender a month before the annual renewal in case I wanted to quit. I also like that people of all ages and fitness levels go there. I joined Synergy in December 2017 and I enjoyed the facility and staff. They are very slow to repair equipment breakdown, think weeks rather than days. The monthly membership is expensive and lots of activities Require additional fees. The sauna has never worked properly and the membership services are totally non-responsive when i tried to cancel my membership when i moved out of the area. I'm sure you can find a better fitness center in Napa. read more

This fitness center is a top notch. The classes are diverse and wonderful, the staff are very friendly, and the facility is sparkling clean. I'm a bit older, but I have never felt out of place because of the welcoming environment. I have donate time and money to the Queen and I am very proud of the wellness services offered here. The only complaint I really have are the provided towels. They are too small, abrasive, and often times have an unpleasant odor. By the comments I hear in the change area, this is a common feeling. That being said, this facility is a huge asset for the Napa community. read more

The most disconnected to it's patrons ever. From the sign up to the front desk. It's like as soon as they get your money their done with you. When you check in at the front desk hardly greet you. Strange in a service business they make you feel like a number. Not going back and stopped my membership. I will look elsewhere in Napa for a more friendly environment. read more

I have to only give one star... The only gym in history to not give a free day pass for someone to try out the facility :( I'm searching and had to go with another gym because I'm not paying $15 for a day pass and then buy a membership or find I don't like it and go somewhere else. They should reconsider that because they lost me as a member before I could even test it out, too bad :( read more

I had the same experience with their contract. And to top it off, one month my credit card expiration late expired. They sent us a $50 bill saying out card was declined and that they needed a new credit card number. I mentioned this to a few friends and tgey had similar issues. Synergy tries to trick/trap people into giving them money. Watch out! And the gym seems to cater to the 65+ crowd. read more

Worst gym ever....scabies outbreak, they no longer clean their equipment...they leave it to the members to cut costs. If you do not cancel your membership by your anniversay date of joining you are stuck for another full year. The trainers are so into themselves and if your not as fit as them they wont even give you the time of day. The class schedule gets smaller and smaller every month especially for the pool. Lolita B and I are agreed. This place offers personal trainers but never delivers. I want t o know I am working toward goals in the best way. I have filled out request cards and followed up ... no response. This is a pretty gym but not too practical. Classes end at 6pm so are geared to the unemployed. loads of machines face a blank wall rather than the lovely glassed north wall windows, behind them. Synergy is a great gym. It is very clean, offers lots of classes, and the employees are courteous and professional. When I enrolled last year, they made it very clear that it was a 1-year contract. The lady repeated it 3 different times, and made sure that I understood that I was committing to a 1 year membership. read more

Definitely go to Healthquest! They NEVER explained their yearly contract when I joined, their pool classes are full of people standing around talking and getting in the way of those of us there to exercise and after several complaints mgmt won't do anything about it. Yoga classes are few and packed to the point you have to have a "ticket" to attend and you can only get a ticket an hour before the class starts but if you're too late all the tickets are gone. Ridiculous. Some employees are rude and snobby. Will be changing to Healthquest when my " year" is up! read more
