Great staff. Very clean and well maintained gym. My kids love active kids including pool and the summer camp!!

The only complaint I have is I wish they had hooks or a shelf in the shower! This place rocks! It's clean, the eqiupment is top of the line and modern; there is a class for everyone - even kids have classes. I hesitated joining because of cost, but it is well worth every penny. The gym I use to work out at (inspired fitness) didn't cost that much - but the extra amount is well worth the cleanliness, working equipment and professional/helpful staff. I have recommended this club to many of my friends and family - and will to many more! Keep it up Club One - you're top notch! read more

Our Petaluma Club One is like a resort except we don't stay there. If you were on vacation just to go get fit and hang out poolside this would be the place. Everything is always clean, friendly staff, great classes, great pool. read more

The facilities are really nice, the problem starts when you attempt to cancel membership. I tried for 4 months to stop my membership, both by e mail, phone calls,and even snail mail. To this day I am still trying to get out of it. Very disappointing read more

I was a member here for a year and it's a nice looking gym.They have good classes that you can usually get a good spot in.My husband and I just thought It was a bit overpriced for what they offered.Overall if you have the extra money it's a nice club. read more

Being a mother, I regularly use the child care at this gym & overall, the staff is very warm & 'connected' with the children. However, I am disappointed with management in this area as they seem to have little experience working with children and parents. Although there is an infant room, my 2-mth old baby is rarely taken in there & instead, is 'mingled" with the much older children in the large playroom. Recently, when dropping off my baby, I was instructed--by the child care manager--to put my sleeping infant (who was in a car seat) on the ground of this large 'playroom' area where there were approx 10-15 children running around playing. Using the designated infant room would've been particularly appropriate in this circumstance & management acted dismissive regarding my concern with placing a sleeping baby in a busy playroom full of older/very active children. When managing a childcare facility (particularly at an expensive gym), management should be more knowledgeable of basic child care needs & more professional when dealing with parental concerns. read more

I would give it no stars if it was possible, Jacob Fulton threw me out of "his gym". I quit. These people are not nice and are so unprofessional it is not even funny. They have this thing called "Fit Club" in the middle of the gym, not in one of the rooms, where they scream and yell and it is so unsettling and stressful. I quit and I recommend that if you were considering joining you don't. read more

I usually don't like to Yelp but just AWEFUL! I went in with my girlfriend and thought this would be a nice upscale club for her to join. Well when we asked the front desk about membership they looked at us like they didn't understand what we were talking about . lol. After about 10 minutes of jibber jabber and me explaining that I didn't want to see the club i have already been before and just wanted to know about membership they said the membership "guy" was not in. We left a phone number and they said he would call us. never did! Do you really have the audacity to call yourselves a premium club. Ny all means i went in there with good intensions and came out of this experience feeling like we just came from Taco Bell. I would not recommend this club to anyone. Nothing new to add, but only confirming that this is a really high quality club. I am finicky, and I can find zero flaws with this place. Remarkably consistent staff in terms of being helpful and polite. This is a great addition to our community. i've been to the club one in oakland 12th street, san francisco at the citibank building, san francisco at the embarcadero center, san francisco at yerba buena, san jose at santana row, and the one in scotts valley... let me say this, the club one in petaluma is by far the best one... brand new gym with great amenities and new equipment... they have the best elliptical machines... all their new fitness machines have ipod docking stations... they have a full size pool with slide... the locker rooms are well kept and clean... unlike oakland 12 street and scotts valley, petaluma does not have an indoor basketball court... not having one doesn't take anything away from this gym... petaluma by far is the king of club ones in the bay area... h-100... read more

Too corporate for me. I have been a member since before they were even open (2009) - they do nothing special for their members other than an occasional open house, etc. Would much rather be at a family-oriented club that cares about their members. They really don't in my opinion. read more

Poorly trained staff. They don't care whether you are happy with facility or not. For being advertised as, "Luxury", the place is not clean in the workout area. Music too loud. Most people bring their own music so why impose music so loud, earplugs won't block out the sound? The staff is only interested in signing up new members, not serving the client. Trainers are poor, and the hard workout area is small. Kids are running around downstairs, sometimes in locker rooms, and on machines, which is not allowed, but no one monitors or enforces the rules. For the price which is definitely higher that than most gyms, I expect to be treated with respect and appreciation for my business AND have a clean facility. read more

I don't know what I would do without Club One! Being a mother of 3 little one's, working out is my time to "de-stress." Love the playcare staff there. All my little one's have been going there since they were babies and look forward to going. Whether I work out or veg out. Club One has it all. I like the fact that it's very family oriented and not a "meat market" like other gyms that I've been to. They also offer several classes which I've only taken a few, but am still working on it. This club is not politically correct for business. Tried to inform them they were charging me 20.00 extra on my account. I was suppose to be getting the business rate. He responded you never brought me your business card. I said I can bring it in can you refund me for the months that you over charged me. He said no due to the fact that I was terminating my membership. I said I can show I have had a business in petaluma for the past 10 years. He said he would maybe negotiate if I would consider staying. Due to the high prices and his customer service as a manager I declined. He told me I could email my cancelation. Now getting calls saying I had to put it in writing and I need to pay. I informed them what the manger said, and they said that was incorrect. Due to employee negligence they think they can entrap me with a month on top of a month saying that they can end my membership today. Basically owing for two months. Considering their employee gave the wrong information with a witness at my side, I highly would reconsider ever joining this place. There is a much more decent club a mile away, 60 percent less the cost, called city sports that I highly recommend. Plus the exercise equipment is higher end. read more

They have definitely been going through some changes with the recent ownership switch, however you can tell that they are trying to work through it and give great customer service in the meantime. My billing was a little messed up from the switch but they were willing to work with me, and I really appreciate that. This is a great club so I'm glad I was able to stick with it through the switch. read more

I am not quite sure what all the excitement is about Club One. I am getting tired of spending so much money each month to be a part of this gym and I'm about ready to head back to PVAC. Calling and making a reservation to bring my children to a place I spend $50 a month for them to play seems absolutely ridiculous! Then I always laugh at the sign upstairs that says "Smart and capable staff are always ready to help!" When was the last time you saw a trainer walking around the floor ready to assist! There is no management on weekend evenings either. I had a concern last weekend, yet there was no one to address my situation. Service desk was clueless! read more

The staff is lacking in the helpful department. there seem to always be too many people at the front chatting and not willing to help, or the other extreme, you can't find anyone anywhere. The facilities are top-notch though. Rec swim and slide hours need to be worked on. read more

Club One is a great gym. It is clean, spacious, and everything is in good working order. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I have referred several friends who have now joined. The Playcare for the kids is excellent and the Playcare staff is the best. My kids love Club One as much as I do. read more

One of the best clubs around! I was staying in Petaluma for 2 months and needed a place to train for a half Ironman. The pool is amazing, classes are challenging, locker room is spotless, facilities are top notch and staff is some of the friendliest ever. This is definitely a first-class club. Everything is beautifully and tastefully designed, the equipment is abundant and absolutely state-of-the-art and the best we have seen in any athletic club. Definitely the cleanest gym I have ever belonged to. I absolutely love this place and the employees that work here. This gym is so nice I actually go there more often than with previous memberships. I enjoy the atmosphere, the staff, the cleanliness, the variety of equipment and the solid training staff. The programming for kids is outstanding. My 7 year old loves their camp offering and the kid-care and never complains. I cannot recommend this gym highly enough. read more

Like most of us, I am busy with life. Trying to balance a new family, a growing career and a personal life, often leaves little time for exercise. I joined Club One because I wanted to make a change. I wanted to ensure that I would be able to actively participate in my children's lives and I had suffered past injuries that made this more and more difficult to do. I spoke with my doctor and he suggested that I try to lose weight and created a plan for me to follow in order to strengthen the areas I was weak in. I am pretty modest. I like my privacy and was intimidated by the thought of joining a "gym." Club One was close to my home and my work, so I decided one day to walk in and see what was involved. Mark Slaughter greeted me with a friendly smile the second I walked in the door. He listened to my unique situation and needs, versus talking up the gym. He showed me programs that the gym offered related to these needs. I felt invited, not intimidated. Now I love it. The people are friendly and everyone has such a positive attitude toward getting healthy. The employees understand that we are all different and need different methods of motivation. Now I go almost every day on my lunch break. The gym is diverse and extremely CLEAN. Club One has a very relaxing and motivating atmosphere. It's not just a gym. They offer so many great services and programs in addition to top of the line fitness equipment. I am starting to notice positive changes inside and out. I am so glad I joined. There are two pools (with an awesome slide), kids area, office area, spin room (they're making a new one to be like Soul cycle which will be included in the membership), large workout areas and weight room, sauna, steam room etc. IT'S SO CLEAN. Club One Petaluma has a fabulous area for kids. Other gyms were disappointing -although I could get a good workout, it came at the expense of leaving my kids plopped in front of TV or computer screens in dingy, poorly organized childcare. At Club One Petaluma's "Playcare" the kids work on art projects, climb around play structures, and often even have fun with extra activities like face painting or organized movement classes. Plus, they even have exercise classes for kids AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. At other gyms, taking the kids was an unavoidable necessity that parents and kids hated. At Club One, Petaluma, the kids look forward to going to the gym. My only complaint is that the gym is so much fun for the kids -they hate to leave. read more

The club is great for the whole family. The locker rooms are clean and always fully stocked. The staff is friendly, qualified and knowledgable. The equipment is plentiful and well maintained. Our 3 kids love the pool, slide and Play Care. A premium is charged for the resort feel of the facility and they deliver. The spa is a nice added bonus. read more

We've been members at this club for about a year and love it mostly for the pool area. The kids can't get enough of the water slide. We also did some swim lessons here and the instructors are great with kids, my kids learned a lot! Its a very clean facility, which we appreciate. The location works well for us and the staff overall is very friendly. I would give a higher star rating, but I feel for us the cost-benefit ratio is a bit off. I wish there was a membership option for just the pool area, since we currently really don't use the other areas of the club. Also, when you need assistance with anything, it takes a long time. For example, I noticed an incorrect charge on my card for the month of November, which I first reported to the club on 11/3. I since called and left a VM, called two more times and had someone leave a note for the person in charge, sent 2 emails and stopped by a the front desk once to get this corrected (or explained to me if the charge was not in error). It took until today, and my calling again that I was told the charge was corrected - 2 days ago. Would have appreciated a quicker turnaround and a note from the club that this was taken care of, rather than having to call yet again just to get an update. read more

This club is so unorganized, unprofessional, and the staff is extremely young and inexperienced. I went with a member of over 2 years as a guest for a swim. Unfortunately, upon leaving I left my suit in the women's restroom. We immediately called and they had said that they would have the suit behind the counter for us and that is was no problem whatsoever. We explained that we would not be there for about a week and asked if that was fine that they would hold it "No Problem". This was not a cheap suit. You girls out there know that suits are anywhere from $ 70 - $ 120. We returned 1 week and 2 days later and they informed us that they shipped the suit off to The GoodWill. We were never notified. The member was never notified. We are canceling our membership and advise anyone who is thinking of joining this club to go elsewhere. Customer service and Membership Service is not a high priority for this club. For what they charge you per month one would think that the service would be top knotch but clearly that is not the case here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more
