The diagnostic revealed Crash Zone Faults still stored on board. Mr. Niki's explanation was thorough, understandable to this elderly veteran, Mr. Niki recommended I contact Insurance Adjuster explain the situation. Instead of we can fix it, Mr. Niki's recommendation was the wisest. He was not deterred about losing a future customer in explaining that what we needed is a little beyond the their capabilities, given the dealership would have the Vehicle specific diagnostic tools and the ability to factory reset the electronics. We will be having our XC60 veicle serviced by Neue Auto LLC in the future. The Neue Auto provided the service at no cost to me, as explained, we were not able to correct/repair the problem.

Since my spouse travels frequently for work, this is the only shop they trust to handle our car while they're away. I left a voicemail, got a callback within an hour, and given our situation, they worked with us to come in to ensure everything was okay. But, just like a sickly child walking into the doctor's office looking perfectly healthy, our car didn't make the noise when it was checked, haha. The staff suggested recording the sound and bringing it back if it worsened over the weekend, as they are closed then. Also, when they don't have loaners available, they have a very reasonably priced partnership with Enterprise if a rental is needed. Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. Chung's is located on Dillingham Blvd (makai side) across Honolulu Community College. Don't let the current rail road construction deter you from getting here. Best to call and to make an appointment. Wheel alignment takes about an hour. Waiting area is limited. Wear your Hokas or comfortable walking shoes to venture about. City Square SC and Kapalama SC are nearby so you can grab a bite to eat while you are waiting.

No charge for the diagnosis. My issue was the ac knob which was previously replaced with a faulty part from another mechanic. They told me estimated time would be an hour. My car was ready within 45mins. The dash did have a crack which James showed me and offered to replace it at no charge. James, Justin, and Erin seem to work well together and treat each other with respect and this business seems to run pretty smooth. I just get a good feeling of trust when I go see them. They are in the business to help people not rip you off. But parking and dropping off your car can be a slight challenge. Just be patient the team is great about helping you to drop your car.
