They make appointments but don't know the time they make it at apparently. They will know you have an appointment and still take a walk in or later appointment while you're sitting waiting. Desiree is the only one that will talk to you & apparently the one that we called for the appointment, but is rude & must not know how to take appointments. I asked to see my appointment they made which is clearly circled at 3:30 but still said we were wrong and it was at 3. Unless you know them personally, I'd advise going elsewhere. read more

This place told me that I could come right now and be seen. I told them I would be here in 15 minutes and they denied service to me. It actually took me over 20 minutes to get here from across town and they denied me service 1 hour before they closed and all I wanted was a regular pedicure. This place is not customer service friendly. They do not care about getting paid and getting tips at the end of the day and they do not care if the person drove for 20 minutes and yet they didn't communicate with each other. Very poor service. I came to this nail salon because it's close to where I live and I'm new to the area. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. They didn't even do the basics of a pedicure. The service was incomplete. I asked for white polish and was asked if I wanted off-white or "white white." I clearly said white white, but that is not what I received. The polish had to be applied three times, yet it still didn't come out correctly. I also asked for square nails, but they were left round and weren't even properly filed. On top of that, I came in to have my eyebrows waxed. I was told I could "just go next door" because they didn't have time, which felt very rude and unprofessional. When I explained that I was unhappy with my nails and that they were not what I asked for, the only response I received was "oh sorry," with no attempt to fix the issue. I was looking for a place SUPER last minute at a very specific time, and found this place on Yelp and it wasn't too far. I rushed in, and was seen in about 10-15 min. I was expecting just a regular sshop service for gel nails, (I usually get gel x when I get my nails done but I'll usually see a private tech for that.) I was waiting and started to slowly realize that this seemed like a really good shop, so I threw my inhibitions to the wind and decided to go with gel x. That's when Francesca (hope I spelled this right!) told me she was ready for me. When I told you this is actually probably the BEST nail service I've EVER had, I mean it. She was highly detailed, meticulous, even when removing my old gel. I've seen many private techs, "boujie" overpriced nail studios where they just file your old gel x off or simply pop off the nails, she did not do this. She took her time using specialty products and removed it the right way, the gentle way. She then took care of my cuticles and was incredibly detailed. Then, we got to gel x nail tips. I normally don't ask for any filing and choose a premade tip because I feel like every single nail tech has always shaped them, and they're never quite right. They're always slightly off and crooked, every single time. She pulled out different tips and told me she'd be filing them, and I was so sad because I instantly knew they wouldn't be good, and would be uneven... and I was SO wrong. She shaped and filed them PERFECTLY and even. Each nail looked incredible, and were perfectly sculpted and even to the next. They had all the trendy options, chrome, cat eye, etc. She painted them extremely detailed and meticulously as well. My nails looked incredible, and I have gotten SO many compliments. I think I just found my official new nail girl, because she is a master at what she does. She was also so sweet and kind, with great customer service. I normally don't leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. My best friend, her mom, and I booked two manicures, two pedicures, and a French tip the day before our appointment. When we arrived at 10 AM, we were shocked to find that only one person was working--even though we were the only customers there. This meant we didn't leave until 2 PM. If they had told us upfront that only one person would be available, we would have scheduled differently. The quality of the work was even worse. My friend got a simple black manicure, and the tech kept messing it up--uneven filing, crooked shaping, and polish errors--even after my friend politely pointed it out multiple times. It got so bad that she had to call another worker to help fix it. Despite that, the nails were still poorly done, and the very next day the polish already started chipping. We went back to address the issue and simply asked for a refund for that one manicure ($35). Instead of handling it professionally, the staff was incredibly rude. The nail tech said, "Why do you want a refund if it's just $35?"--as if the amount made it okay to provide bad service. She then accused us of being the type of people who go around salons just to get refunds, which is extremely disrespectful and completely false. We have never done anything like that, nor would we--this was about being treated fairly after paying for a service that was poorly executed from start to finish. Between wasting four hours for a simple appointment, getting a manicure that chipped within a day, and then being spoken to rudely and accused of dishonesty when we asked for a refund, this was hands down the worst nail salon experience we've ever had. She drilled my nails way too thin in the middle and was burning my nail! She left bits of nail still on the sides of almost all my fingers! Cut my skin with the drill. My nails were natural and long grown out (not tips) and she cut them down to the nail bed without asking me. Said she had to in order to remove which is not true! She was yanking my nails ripping off the lengths instead of cutting with clippers or filing. I came in at 2:45, and asked if they could do nail removal. They close at 3 but she said yes. I assumed this meant she could do it in 15-30 mins but then she took 1 hour to remove these dip nails (it usually takes max 20-30 mins at other places). TLDR: Charged $21 for nail removal that wasn't done correctly, took an hour, hurt me, and is overpriced compared to other stores ($10-15 at other salons). read more

The website shows salon hours are 9-7pm M-F and that they take walk-ins. However, last Tuesday I tried calling right at 9am and continued to call for 20 mins with no answer. Because I live nearby, I decided to drive by and check on the salon. When I got there, the door was wide open and the open sign was lit up. I walked in and asked if they could accommodate a pedicure. There were 2 ladies sitting around talking to each other with no clients in the salon and was told by one of them that she needed to call someone. She called someone and then asked me to come back at noon. Wait, what? When I said, "no thank you", she just shrugged her shoulders. I was extremely disappointed with the customer service. I waited for about 20ish minutes and decided to leave. They asked what my name was and I gave it to them. I have been going to Reina who is the sister of the owner of Mago Beauty Salon since they opened. They have been very good in service and the staff is great and friendly. The place is well maintained and always clean. Now Reina has her own nail salon. Love the ambience and how spacious the place is. I have been introduced to Anton who recommended Dip Powder this time instead of my to go to "gel mani". Not only he is nice and friendly but Anton is really great in his craft. I love my nails! Pedicure was awful. They don't clean cuticles they use drills and files instead of the cuticle cutters and when they use cuticle cutters it's like someone who doesn't know how to use them. She messed up my nails and nails and only fixed one of the two and I walked out with 6 coats of clear pain on my left toe. So upset that the drill was used on my toes. Then when I go to fix my feel realize she didn't file the ends of my toe nails smooth and they are jagged at the ends, left nail polish on my skin and missed chunks of my toe nails. If I could get a refund I would for my feet. Dip isn't used with bond it's just gel with dipping powder. No examples of colors and very small range. Guessing it's Bruce's they've only been open for 3 weeks. She was very meticulous but missed all the powder under my fingers and didn't buff down the cuticles after applying the powder so that lifting doesn't occur with grow out. Everyone was really nice but I realized they share employees with beauty salon next door which makes it a bit stressful. Also advertised says $40+ for dip with no dip to take off and I was charged $47. So... yeah. Wanted this to be amazing but really upset I was there for 2 hrs and 45 min and I spent $72 not including tip only to have to redo my toes and clean up my own cuticles... won't be going back here. read more

I booked pedis for both my daughter and I for an early Mother's Day gift. The lady (I forget her name) gave the most thorough and wonderful pedi I have ever had and spent time with me since I have fungus in a couple of nails. She gave my nails with fungus a special treatment. She introduced me to a new nail fungus product which has already helped diminish the fungus! Not so with the myriad of other over-the-counter products I have tried. I now have hope that the fungus will completely heal! I can't recommend Ada's Nails and Spa enough. read more
