I regularly get a manicure at Nail City and spa. I have been very pleased with their services. I use Moon as my regular manicurist but have had others provide services for me. With no solid plans for Memorial Day, our daughter suggested getting a mani-pedi before heading out to LA for lunch and shopping. I called around to check on walk-in wait times. Most places had limited staff and couldn't accommodate or only had very late appointments available...except Nail City & Spa. The person on the phone was very nice. She said they could take us. We arrived about 15 minutes later. There were 2 customers and 3 technicians. They were finishing up with one customer as we sat down to wait. A couple minutes later we were seated in the spa chairs to soak our feet. Soon after, they started our pedicures. Our daughter had one technician for her manicure and pedicure. She was really nice and seemed very meticulous in her work. Our daughter was quite happy with the results. The technician who did my pedicure was also friendly and did really good work. We both enjoyed the hot stone leg massages -- we would come back just for that! Unfortunately, I didn't care much for my manicure. I felt the technician was rushing. I had to ask her a couple times to clean more cuticle from a couple fingernails. Later, after the cuticle oil wore off, I noticed other areas that were not trimmed well. I took care of it myself. Overall, it was a good first experience. We may be back to give them another try. The place is clean. Prices are reasonable. There's more than enough parking in the large plaza. read more

HORRIBLE. My mom and I made an appt here and the whole experience was not good. It was extremely hot inside the shop. There was no air flow. My spa pedicure was good and then it cane to my acrylic nails. The guy who did them, CLEARLY never did nails before. The nails are see thru, the shapes are completely different on each nail as well as the length. Another person painted my nails because the guy who did mine didn't know how to- as you can see i asked for basic french tip. I paid over $100 and these are the worst nails ive ever had done. If you want your nails done properly, you don't want to waste your money or feel like you're sitting in a sauna, dont go here. read more

I usually go to DaVi nails at walmart but they were closed for valentine's day, this place was right around the corner. I walked in and saw NO and licenses or an Inspection sticker, First red flag. There were only 2 lady's working when i came in. I was getting treated by a lady with open sores on her hands & mid service has the other lady bandage then up while she's still performing service on me, Second red flag. I accidentally asked for a manicure instead of a full set so i had to tell her mid service and asked for acrylic and both ladies acted like they didn't know how to do a full set then they switched ladies on me and gave me gel x. It was going well for a little, then a few customers came in for pedicures and another worker comes in and switches on me AGAIN. At this point i've been here for over 2 hours & not bc i asked for a manicure first then had to change service, who i had first should be able to do a full set. last the paint was done so poorly and they charged me $80 FOR A SHORT FULL SET FRENCH TIP. I asked "$80 for what?!" The last lady I had said " Gel x is $65 and gel color is $15" " we charge $10 for manicure but we didn't charge you" MIND YOU I ASKED FOR ACRYLIC, WHICH HONESTLY I DONT THINK THEY HAVE OR EVEN KNOW HOW TO DO IT. at DaVi I could've gotten this AND a pedicure for $50!!!!!! read more

We used to be regulars under the prior owners. There are not enough staff now to cover business. We waited for sooo long for service, even though it says walk ins are welcome. I get waiting, but this was really excessive. They are not particularly friendly or nice, very basic service at best. The pedicures were not great. Again, basic at best, nothing special at all. The manicures were sloppy and I truly regret spending money here. I wanted to give this place another try after the change in ownership but there won't be a trip back here. Management has changed, I decided to give this nail shop another opportunity after a couple of off experiences. The 2 workers were very nice, but shared that they are understaffed and cannot attend to too many customers at one time. If they do, there may be a wait. For gel manicure and pedicure, the total time spent at this nail shop was 2 hours and the results were mediocre to less then mediocre. Should I decide to go again, I will certainly ask about wait times and if there staffing is sufficient. read more

My first time here. I came in on a Saturday for a 2 PM appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure + callus removal. My total was $75. There was only one other customer when I got there and 2 more customers came in by the time I left, so not super busy for Saturday afternoon. Sara did my gel manicure and Leena did my pedicure. terrible. i usually go to an at home nail girl but she couldn't fit me so i came here because this place has good reviews. the lady who did my acrylics was terrible. it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing. the nails were so bulky. i have never had nails this bad. the french tips were not looking even on any nail. she kept saying they look pretty, seeking my validation, knowing very well the look on my face said otherwise. the nail polish kept looking sheer and streaky and when i was telling her to put more coats she looked annoyed. I told her to correct many things and it was still terrible. i didn't say anything and still tipped her but i went to another salon and got them removed ASAP. i wish i said something and got my money back. read more
