First time using Adam Ray Handyman Services. Last Monday I sent a text with pictures to Adam for estimates on two items. Received his text almost immediately with the amounts. The estimates were fair and he also stopped by that same afternoon to take door measurements, so we scheduled an appt for Wednesday. He was available two days later, not two weeks later! Adam was punctual on the hottest day and went right to work on the back security door. After prepping the new door, he made sure it was properly aligned and before walking into the house to check from the inside he put booties over his shoes. Ok, who else does that? He did the same routine with the front security door and then asked if we had leftover paint so he could touch up an area by the door frame. He wasn't there to paint but he did it anyway at no charge. After working in the intense heat for hours, he eventually took a lunch break. Adam is humble, professional, and hard-working. We recently had to have a tile work done over a concrete slab that will perfectly level with the rest of the floor. As you know, tiling can be really tricky and I didn't have much high expectations if it was done by a handyman. BOY WAS I WRONG! 1. Eldar replied to me so quickly and promptly. He came to see me the next day, started to prep the super uneven concrete, just work work work. Great attitude, humble, communicative. 2. Job needed to be done over the course of two days and he didn't even request for payment on the first day. For this, I paid half of the estimate he gave me and material fee. Who wouldn't? 3. Work came out better than I expected. WAY better, and for a fraction of the cost other people gave us. Yes, in this economy I would like to support as much local small business as possible, but we live on a budget too. Also please note, I KNEW the grout color wouldn't match the original since (a) the floor is original (we were lucky to even have spare tiles), (b) i'm just lazy like that and (c) our original grout is dirty af and it can be easily changed :P Overall, very friendly and humble character, great communication and keeps you posted.
