What an absolutely adorable little date spot! We paid to park and had an hour left so we walked over here from the Mariner. I'm not usually one for sweets, but this is the cutest place. We didn't have any bonbons, though they looked intricate and delicious. We had a round of drinks and were both very happy with our decisions. I highly recommend coming here for after dinner drinks or just a date with some girl friends.

Come grab a drink & stay a while... Signature cocktails, a casual bar & confectionery known for their inventive dessert martinis & of course specialty chocolates. Perfect for a night to grab some drinks or a night cap paired with some delicious gourmet chocolates.

I have to say I have gone back and forth about writing a review because we had quite the experience. My daughter and I took a little road trip and Mystic was our first stop. We decided our first day would include splitting a pizza from Mystic Pizza followed by the Giant Espresso Martini and then back to the hotel to relax and get room service later in the evening. We sat at a lovely table outside on the porch area and decided on the bon bons we wanted to accompany our drink. Let me just say, the bon bons were delicious and the drink was WAYYYY bigger than we thought it would be. As in, someone walking by on ground level could literally see the glass, it was that huge! I don't even think we drank 1/3 of it. I would love to say that this was the start of a memorable evening but the truth is, we don't remember much beyond this gargantuan alcoholic beverage including the return uber ride to the hotel. My suggestion would be if you plan to order this drink make sure you have at least 4 people. Also, ask for water, we weren't given any and it may have helped. I'd definitely go back but truth is, I'm not sure I will ever have another espresso martini in my lifetime.

I really wish I could rate this place better. Two stars for service and if I could give a half star for chocolate, I would. The vibe outside is so relaxing and nautical. Very coastal. The vibe inside is weird as hell. It's lit like a night club (e.g, fluorescent purple lights, dark furniture) but it's not a night club at all. The inside just makes no sense. I ordered the bad dream banana which was made with "Bacardi dark rum, banana, and espresso." Given that everyone else was receiving creamy cocktails in cocktail glasses, I was expecting similar with a bit of real banana puree. That is not what it was. This thing was an abomination. I guess it was rum? Not sure it tasted like rubbing alcohol flavored with banana laffy taffy. It was extremely artificial and was espresso in there?? Awful. I could not drink it. I brought it back in and ordered something safe, a glass of red wine. The bartender was super nice about it and didn't charge me for the wine so she gets the only stars. Chocolate was ok.

Stopped at A*T*Y Bar and Bon Bon for some quick drinks and a snack. I didn't have any of the drinks (just having some water), but I was told that the drinks were excellent. The chocolates were really good. Not only were they visually appealing, they tasted amazing. I enjoyed the salted caramel and raspberry truffles especially. The ambience was moody and relaxing. The young woman working the bar and counter was incredibly pleasant and very kind. Over Al and excellent experience

Every time we visit we are wow'd a little bit more. The service is amazing! Do yourselves a favor and try every single bonbon. *protip* most of them are gluten free!

This is a great spot. A very quaint cocktail spot that is the perfect size. A bit hidden away so it isn't usually busy. I have been a couple times and had good experiences. The cocktails are on point. I do think that the atmosphere could be elevated by turning down the lights a little, it is always lit up like a coffee shop, probably to display the chocolates. If the lights were lowered a bit it would create much more ambiance and a cozier feel which this spot is lacking in my opinion. It's great in all other aspects!

Happy July 2! It's the summer and you need to take a trip to Mystic. This should definitely be a spot that is on your list of places to try. I went in for the first time because of a great recommendation from Erin at Sift. She told us to check it out and ATY did not disappoint! It's a super cute spot with a small bar and several indoor and outdoor tables and let me tell you- I love Key Lime Pie and they had two things that really checked off all the boxes for me. 1. The Key Lime Bon Bon 2. The Key Lime Pie Martini- made with key lime, white chocolate, vanilla infused Grey Goose, caramel and a key lime deco. Holy yum!!! There are so many different flavors to choose from too. I can't wait to visit again! Cheers!

Currently docked in: Paris!…read more Wow. Truly a phenomenal dining experience all around and I'm very sad I didn't think to take pictures. We went for an early seating yesterday and bravely brought our 8 month old. This was already a bold ask because this restaurant doesn't scream children but port of call took it with stride. We were accommodated with a highchair and several staff stopped to say hi to our baby. (For his part, our baby was relatively chill although a loud babbler, and no tears which we would call a win). Now onto the product. Absolutely phenomenal. We were wowed from start to finish. Every single drink, dish, and dessert far exceeded our expectations. The happy hour menu is very generously priced and had several favorites off the actual menu, as well as some items which I believe are available all the time. Our server (I'm very sorry I can't think of his name) was fantastic and offered excellent recommendations to like drinks on the current menu based on drinks we said we usually steer towards. Every drink (we had 4 different ones) absolutely knocked it out of the park. This would be an awesome spot for cocktails and apps with friends but is also a superb full service date night spot. We can't (and won't) stop raving about port of call!!!

Let's start with the positives:…read more Strong flavor choices, boldly executed, with notable skill and expertise. Uniquely thoughtful menu with beautiful ingredients. This restaurant provides a higher quality meal than 99% of restaurants in CT. To the detriment of an otherwise fantastic experience: The overall experience here lacks some of the polish you'd expect from a restaurant operating at such a high culinary level. There seem to be consistent breakdowns of the overall communication, planning and operations throughout the restaurant experience. While the service team is friendly, capable, and professional, there are recurring lapses in communication and organization that affect the overall flow of service. These hiccups express a system lacking in polish and organization, perhaps due to a breakdown of cohesion, a weak overall structure, or management issues...? The intimate dining room is a part of the restaurant's charm, but it also leaves little room for error. Seating logistics and pacing require careful management, and we've experienced a few situations where communication between the front and back of house appeared to break down. To the staff's credit, any issues we've encountered have always been handled directly, graciously, and professionally. Port of Call remains a top dining choice, but the operational inconsistencies keep it from feeling like an automatic recommendation every time. Food: 5/5 Servers: 5/5 Finesse/Operations: 2/5

My family went to Mix to celebrate my nieces graduation and things went down hill very quickly…read more This restaurant is not accessible for people with mobility issues. If you can't handle stairs do not come. The website's statement regarding it's accessible patio was not accurate. It looked like one existed but it was closed and they were not seating people there. Sometimes mistakes are made, and websites are not updated... but, my niece had confirmed via phone that this patio was accessible. We were completely blindsided. Members of our family ended up just going back to the hotel because we were a party of 14 people on graduation weekend with no other options. Furthermore, There were only two bathrooms and they were on the first floor. If the patio had been open, these bathrooms would not have been accessible for anyone with mobility issues sitting on that patio. And there was a line, and no soap in one of the two bathrooms On the good side, the dining room was pretty and open air. It was a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff was good. But the food was expensive, and disappointing for the price and the hype. The onion roll in the bread basket was fantastic, and the sour dough was ok, but I didn't love the weird unchopped ceaser salad with discs of bread and parm. It was just frustrating to eat even if the flavors were good. My husband didn't really like the buccatini. I can't really speak for anyone else in our party. It was really going to be a high bar to make up for members of our family having to leave and not being able to celebrate with us. It could probably be a great place if they just got their act together. Other things to keep in mind are that parking in this part of town is beyond insane.

The location is easy enough to get to, with it being above the bakery. Only issue is there is no bathroom upstairs so you'll have to use the one downstairs. Excited to try it out when it gets warmer out.

S & P Oyster Restaurant and Bar 1 Holmes Street…read moreMystic, CT 06355 Tel # (860) 536-2674 34 Years of Outstanding Service, Fabulous Fresh Food and Appreciation of their Patrons My wife and I have patronized this restaurant for the past 34 years and have never been disappointed with the food, service, cleanness, and professionalism of every employee. S & P Oyster Restaurant and Bar is a very charming and picturesque restaurant sitting on the Mystic River with indoor and outdoor seating, and photographic views of the Mystic River. Each employee is very attentive to your needs, and everyone works together as a team to assure each patron is getting quality service and a great experience. We were greeted at the entrance by the Hostess and promptly shown to a table overlooking the Mystic River. Next we were greeted by Evelina our server. She handed us menus and the daily specials and took our drink order. Upon her return to our table she went over the daily specials asked if we had any questions and if we knew what we wanted or if we needed more time. We both ordered unsweetened ice teas as we had a 2 hour drive back home. My wife and I both enjoyed a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder. It was creamy, rich and chock full of clams and not that pasty style you get in so many places. I ordered 6 oysters on the half shell along with 6 littlenecks on the half shell. They were very fresh, plump, juicy and tasted like the sea. I can live off these 2 mollusks. My wife ordered a Harvest Grain Bowl. It was loaded with crispy Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, roasted chickpeas, red onions, heirloom carrots, arugula, dried cranberries, toasted almonds, farro, with an apple cider vinaigrette. She loved it!!! Me being a seafood nut ordered Seafood Ambrosia. YUM, YUM & YUM!!!. It was a combination of cod, shrimp, scallops, crab, and seafood stuffing baked it an individual cast iron frying pan. It was buttery, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. It came with a side Mystic Salad that included artisan greens, radicchio, carrots, red onion, cucumbers, celery, and a honey balsamic vinaigrette. I recommend making a reservation for both lunch and dinner as they are one of the hottest restaurants in Mystic (especially during warmer months). If you have never been here I highly recommend giving it a try, I'm sure you will be as happy and as satisfied as I have always been with S & P.

Went here with my family this year on the Tuesday after Mother's Day and I had hyped the place up based on my wonderful experience last year. I was thoroughly disappointed with the menu selections and the food. The waiter told me they change out their menu from time to time. I sure wish they hadn't because the lump crab dip was delicious but the replacement was spinach and artichoke dip. The artichokes were not blended they were chunks and it was not in a creamy sauce but dry with shredded Parmesan cheese over the top. It was awful. I didn't even eat it. I also ordered the crab cake which wasn't good. Last time I had the crab cake, it was made with chuncks of crabmeat. This time it was shredded crabmeat and a lot of breadcrumbs. My son's girlfriend and my husband both ordered mussels and they each said they were okay. My husband also ordered what we call a crab imperial dish containing different kinds of shellfish, bread crumbs, cream sauce and cheese. Our son ordered a crispy fried chicken sandwich and he said it was delicious. I tried it and it was so good. The chicken was fried light and with tasty Chilean sauce on it.
