Have never been to this winery before, and it did not disappoint! The Inside is fairly large we went on a Tuesday during the day so was not busy which was very nice. My boyfriend and I got a sampler, and we got two for $24. All the wines we tried were very good!! The outside looks nice and cozy for the warmer months. I would diffently like to go back. Parking is a breeze and a big enough lot. Inside, they have several counters for wine tasting for those busier days. They also have some cheeses and small snacks and looked like we might be Woodfire pizza in the summer.

My wife really loved the last time we came here, so we decided to come again with my brother and his girlfriend. My wife really enjoys their wine, "Tears of Gettysburg". We arrived about 3pm in the afternoon on a Sunday. it was not very busy as expected because of Covid. We parked and walked inside. Based on current PA law and Covid, this time, we could not purchase wine tastings without purchasing a meal. They were creative and offered several options of meat, cheese and pretzels. We picked a few of those options and wine flights for three of us. I am not a fan of wine but they also offer some beers of which I chose one. We took our meat and cheese with the paper plates and utensils they provided to our table and waited for the buzzer to go off for the beverages and pretzels. The locally made sweet beef bologna and the smoked beef sticks were very good. the pretzel bites also hit the spot. My wife ended up purchasing two bottles of the "Tears of Gettysburg" and a double bubble wine bottle wrap to pack them in our suitcase to take home to Nevada. The general manager provided amazing customer service, explaining everything and was a pleasure interact with. We wish we got his name to drop here but we did not. We highly recommend this hidden gem located in the rolling hills west of Gettysburg!

Stopped in on a weekday and was impressed that this was one of the few wineries in the area that was open during the middle of the week in January. We had the tasting room to ourselves and enjoyed three free tastings. If you pay, you can have an additional three tastings. Since our plan was to split a bottle, we stuck with the free tastings and then purchased a bottle of Three Ships to the Wind-a semi sweet red. Most of the wines here had some residual sugars or R.S. So they were a bit sweet, but there were a few with zero R.S. The gentleman helping us with the tastings was super friendly and helpful-to the extent that he wrote out a list of all of the other wineries, breweries and cidreries that he thought would be open that day. Bottom line:Great place for a bottle. There's even an outdoor patio that would be perfect when the weather is nicer. They also have cheese and crackers for sale here.

This is an absolutely beautiful property located just a short drive outside of Gettysburg. My wife and mother in law had been there earlier in the summer and this time I tagged along. They have an amazing tasting room where you order your wine, food (which is made outside) and even some local craft beers. The staff is very well versed on the wines and will ask you about your palate and then pair wines with it. I was a huge fan of the dry wines but also found their staple wines like stray cat strut and tears of Gettysburg to be very light and refreshing even on the cool fall day we were there. The curious cat and rebel red were also very nice. As for the food, we were delighted with the pizza and the pretzel that fed four of us as a nice snack between lunch and dinner. There were children there and they have some glass bottled soda options for them, but I'm not really sure why you'd take young children to a winery as there is absolutely nothing for them to do.

I visited last Sunday and had a great experience! I was immensely greeted by the nicest woman. We purchased the sweet flight and the speciality flight. Amazing! I'm not even a fan of rosé and it was excellent here! All the sweet wines were delicious. I definitely would return and definitely recommend :)

An interesting place to go to if you're from the area. It is quite off the beaten path, so some back road driving is required. There is a one way portion of the road entering the winery property so be cautious on your way in. There is a very small parking lot in the front mostly consisting of handicap parking but then there is a larger lot in the back. Gravel and grass parking, but it's a large lot. The are various sitting areas. Under the pavilion there are large tables. There's also tables in the grassy areas that are bolted to the ground so they can't move. There's also an upper patio area near the barn with umbrella tables. Plenty of spaces to park and sit. You can bring your own food to eat, but no outside alcohol. The main barn is where you can order your food and drink. They have a lot of options. I loved the sparkling red wine. They also have wine slushees which are delicious. You go up to the counter and select what you want to drink. You can take those to your table right away. If you order a pizza, very delicious, you bring your receipt to the pizza tent and you'll get a buzzer when it's ready. The service is fast and the quality of drink and food is delicious. Not a lot of food options however. There are indoor bathrooms, two stalls. There is a tasting room inside and a small gift shop. Overall it was a good experience but not great. I think the outside ambiance could be improved.

Here's the thing.... 6 months out of the year (the warmer months) I might give this 4 stars, while 6 months out of the year (the colder months) I might give it two stars. The biggest draw for me to come during the warmer months is the outside terrace area where you can take your glass of wine and order a pizza and make a nice afternoon out of it. The pizza really is excellent. They have plenty of outdoor seating. OTHERWISE, I really don't think I'd ever come here. Their wines are so sweet (really anything over a 1 RS is too sweet for me) so by and large I am not a fan of their wines. When I went they only had 3 dry wines to chose from. If you are one of those wine drinkers (not really wine drinkers in my opinion but hey) that likes sweet juice types of "wine" you would love this place.

We live Adams County Winery! There's something for all tastes and they have so many options for seating areas. The ambiance outside is wonderful for nature lovers and gardeners. We always purchase snacks and/or wood fire grill food!

Great experience at winery in rural Adams County, Pennsylvania. The place was clean. Every employee was friendly and the lady helping us with our wine tasting was great. You could tell she loves wine and she loves her job. One small critique is that they could be a little bit more generous with their wine samples. Not a negative comment--just something they could lean into a little bit more. Oh btw, The TERRACE BISTRO has amazing pizza. We particularly loved the crust. It's all fresh, it's delicious, and our chicken bbq pizza tasted so well with "Traveler"--a dry Chardonnay and Vidal blend. Overall a great experience. There's definitely an authentic country vibe to the place, but it's all good! They don't try to be a winery beyond their means. They know who they are, where they are, and they are good at their craft.

This place has it all clean friendly staff and a fairly large menu of wines to choose from. There is lots of land here and the selection of wines was larger than average. You do get a few samples for free but for an extra charge you can add more samples. This is also part of a wine tour. Worth the stop.

Nestled just 8 miles outside of historic Gettysburg lies the Adams County Winery. It's on an old farm, with a huge red barn. Open 7 days a week, they have a decent selection of wine to choose from. We tried a bottle of their "Tears of Gettysburg" which was pretty sweet and listed at 12.00 a bottle. Other flavors range from 11-27 dollars a bottle. One of the cooler things was a map of the USA, where people pinned what city they were visiting from. The Winery has free music on the weekend, while we were there Hot Club Du Jour played. There was plenty of outside seating, with picnic tables, covered tents and a pavilion. There was a really cute butterfly garden that children were playing in. Also operates a downtown location in Gettysburg on 25 Chambersburg Street.

A very accessible and inviting winery for lovers of sweet wines, although dry drinkers may find it a bit lacking. If I had to describe Adams County Winery in one word, I would say it's "fun." This is not your snobby, pretentious winery - it's all about having a good time with their (mostly) sweet wines. It's obvious from the ample outdoor seating and the rustic comfortable tasting room. Even coming here during the off season there were still a number of people in the tasting room. Our pourer was very knowledgeable on the wines and allowed me and my girlfriend to split our tastings (3 samples for free, 4-6 samples for $5). If you count the fruit wines (which I didn't taste), the selection is overwhelmingly sweet, with residual sugar levels above 1%. However, there are some dryer options that are pretty good. For the whites, I liked the Chardonnay Appalachian Moon, a dry chardonnay with a slight french oak taste, and the Reisling, which had a hint of sweet (0.4% residual sugar) and fruity undertones. For the reds, the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Turning Point were highlights, each with their own dark fruit and french oak flavors. If I had to pick, I'll give it to the Cabernet Sauvignon, which had a smoother fruitier taste. Overall, I wasn't a huge fan of the wines at Adams County Winery, but I don't begrudge people who love this place. Fans of sweet and fruit wines will be in Nirvana, while dry drinkers will find at least one or two that will satisfy. It's a winery for all palates.

Great wine in a quiet atmosphere. Love almost all the wines and come each year just to stock up on more of it. Great place for tastings.
