Just to add to my prior review, as Adams D&R were coming to pickup their equipment, my neighbors irrigation water ran into my yard and flooded my basement where Adams D&R has completed their cleaning. They were so awesome to have taken care of our initial troubles and stepped right in and completed the secondary problem! I don't know what I would've done if they weren't there. The price was very reasonable and all of the techs and the owner always responded when they needed to talk. I really appreciate them. My electric water heater had reached the time for replacement. The heater was 15 years old and started to leak. I self diagnosed it needed to be replaced and purchased a new water heater. I searched for a company to install the new unit and a friend suggested Adams D&R. Scheduling the appt was easy and the two man crew (Paco & David) arrived right on time. The removal process went great and the crew quickly prepared for putting in the new heater. The discharge pipe was a few inches short for the new unit but that challenge was quickly overcome. They added a piece to my existing pipe to fit the new unit. After the install I was given a few tips for day one of hot water. I'm satisfied with the install process and outcome and it was def worth replacing the unit. The service this team provided was greatly appreciated and now this task is off my "to-do" list. read more

Sticking to the facts began 3-27-25 Has not ended..................... Bad experience started with rep. Than never saw again. Than paid 2k deductible, than never saw again , a week later I called the company and they said the man quite. As of 4.29.25 work has never been finished to this day but they said they are working on it. On 4/30/2025 everything sent to insurance they have to lay 30 travertine 18x18 tiles and fix 5 dry wall cuts out. They were given the money by the insurance company. Then they wanted power of attorney over the check that had to be endorsed by me. I complained to my insurance company and he fired them. Sent me the money they keep 30 percent. But I was done with them . I later notified Arizona Attorney General. I'm glad they are out of my life. read more

Edit Description of complaint:Reconstruction started with our first project manager, a subcontractor named Octavius, the end of May 2025. After the initial walk through he was almost impossible to reach. His main contractor, Edwin kept telling us he wasn't getting paid, that he did things that weren't supposed to have been done (even though those things were on the scope of work) and kept asking me to pay him $2900. After the insurance company told him that we needed to be out of the Air B&B by Aug 13th, he put the tile in the main bathroom shower and painted the master bathroom. They used the original shower doors that should have been new and they installed it incorrectly so the bottom of them swing freely. They didn't caulk, the paint job is beyond bad with places missed, drips, slopped onto the ceiling and door jamb. There should have been new baseboard. They reused some of the old and some is completely missing. The drywall next to the tile edge is rough and not filled in, the grout color is wrong and so is the paint color. The The hot & cold has been switched and the pipes to the shower heads weren't secured and the shower heads move freely. Next came Jazial Duran as a project manager. He was all about correcting everything and finishing the hall bathrooms floor, install vanity, paint and correcting drywall seam during his walk through but after he was only interested in just the hall bath floor and vanity. After visiting the main office we got our third project manager, Carlos. He was also eager to fix and finish everything. But now there has been zero communication. No work has been done in almost seven months. Have called the office and texted the latest project manager several times in the past two months and have yet to receive a response back. Literally zero communication. They have been paid by the insurance company but have yet to finish the job, replace the cabinets that were damaged or missing or correct the extremely shoddy work that was done. Sub contractors would start the job and come up with every excuse to not finish. 3 different contractors worked on my small project that they made into a pain, expanding over 8 months. They took insurance money and completed the job the cheapest way they could. I had travertine, which insurance paid to replace and they used tile. When I called them out on it, and told them I was not going to pay for something they didn't use, they threatened legal action. I can't even give them a star. BE VERY CAREFUL! Worst customer service I have EVER dealt with. Initial call was for a garbage disposal not working and a plumbing co to fix it! On arrival the plumbers claimed our pipes were backwards causing a leak underneath sink. They ( plumbers) called Adams. They came over and claimed water damage but our insurance would pay for damage. They contacted our insurance company and started the process. Next day they requested a down payment for demo of kitchen sink area. Once paid from ins and our portion they disappeared! Sent us a contract via email to sign for reconstruction. Listing several things we didn't need done. We ask for project manager to contact us. Never heard from anyone. After 3 mos. We hired someone else to redo my sink and told them we were cancelling project. Of which they refused to reimburse the pre payment. They were paid by insurance for the demo. We never even had an inspection done but they pocketed $1300 for ignoring our calls....LESSON LEARNED THE HARD WAY! Hope we can save someone else from this read more

My plumbing company referred Adams to do restoration on my home after a full sewer replacement that caused tile and drywall damage. It started out okay, a rep contacted me and an employee came out a couple days after the plumbing job completion. Rep explainded that insurance won't cover because there was no water damage, then proceeded to take pictures and measurements. He told me that a would be receiving an email with a restoration quote. He also said that my whole house needed to be retiled to replace the 6 tiles under the toilet. That turned out to not be true. Since he left I received 3 phone calls but no email. One who didn't know a rep had already been to my home. She proceeded to say that he must have been the demolition quote, huh? I don't have any demolition that needs to be done. Then I received a call from someone else wanting to come out to look over what the first rep looked at. Scheduled for 10am today. The next day I received another call from Adams from yet a different person asking me if he could come check on the equipment left at my house. Huh? He said they leave it as a courtesy to check for moisture in the walls. Again, I don't have water damage. He was impossible to deal with, read back my address and said there was equipment here. Unbelievable, I told him to come out to check the equipment at the same time their other employee was scheduled to be here. He confirmed he would be here to check the unexisting equipment at 10a today. Well, there has been no call, no text and both employees are a complete no-show. At this point, I'm grateful. This company has no idea what their doing, they don't communicate with each other, try to ramp up charges, and are unreliable. I'm letting the plumbing company (who was wonderful!) know that this is restoration company that they are referring to. I just looked at these reviews and the reviews on BBB - this is not the company my plumber should be using. Edit: Checked my email this afternoon and I received a quote at 10:41a, but still no mention of representative no shows at 10a. The quote is extremely hard to make sense of. No mention of square footage. No mention of where new tile is coming from. Just line items with square footage price but no idea how the total cost was reached. Stay Away - Worst "Restoration" Company Experience in all my years of homeownership. My Opinion, and my account. If I could give zero stars, I would. Adams Disaster & Restoration has been the single worst vendor experience of my life, and I need to warn others before you make the same mistake. 1. Preferred Vendor Trap I was steered into Adams through a plumber who claimed they "do this all the time" and would handle the insurance. What I didn't know (and was never explained to me) is that Adams is not a preferred vendor for Allstate. That meant endless fights, delays, and finger-pointing between Adams and the insurer while my home sat gutted for months. If your insurance company doesn't list them as a preferred vendor, that's a giant red flag. 2. Incomplete and Defective Work After more than 160+ days (on a job quoted at 2-4 weeks), my condo work is still ongoing. Luckily, I have involved the ROC to ensure they will do things properly. 3. Abysmal Customer Service I left hundreds of messages over 100+ days with no response from the owner. I finally had to drive up in person, take a full day off work, and sit in their filthy office until he came out. Instead of accountability, I got excuses, denial, and finger-pointing. Every time I spoke they cut me off, contradicted themselves, and just refused to make any sort of acknowledgment of their faults. 4. Filthy Office & False Image They brag about being "successful for over 20 years," but their office tells the real story: stains on the walls, crumbs everywhere, and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in decades. Their website is just as outdated and unhelpful -- a reflection of their sloppy workmanship and management. 5.Similar Stories I've filed a Registrar of Contractors complaint, dealt with BBB filings, and even regulators acknowledge how messy this is. From my conversations with other previous clients of this company, I'm not the only homeowner trapped in this nightmare. Bottom Line: Do not let your insurance or plumber push you toward Adams. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and incapable of completing a project within a reasonable time. Their customer service, project management, vendor relationships, and workmanship are all garbage. Save yourself months of stress, money, and heartache -- stay far away. read more

I would not recommend this company. I had a water leak in my kitchen that damaged 2 of my cabinets. The estimator was scheduled to come out and did not show. When I call the company, I was told that they cancelled the on site estimator review as he was using the pictures from the gentlemen who removed the cabinets. I was never notified of this change. The estimator had to resubmit the estimate to my insurance company 3 times as he failed to include all the items that needed to be repaired. This delayed the approval process by approximately 2 weeks. The scheduling was challenging for each step of the process. There is a definite lack of communication within the company as well as communicating with the customer. I spoke to the owner Stan Adams and relayed my concerns with the internal communication and the status of my project. He thanked me for my input and stated that he had previous comments from other customers and is working on correcting the situation. A week later I had a appointment scheduled for a specific arrival time. I called the office and spoke to the Project Manager (Carlos) who was assigned to me and was told that the repair person assigned called in sick. When I asked why I was not notified, I did not receive an answer. The workers who did arrive at my house were very pleasant and told me that the office staff did not communicate to each other all the time. I can not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Never had a worse experience with customer service and the inability for this company to follow up on anything is eye opening. The total amount of time it took from the demo to restoration took over 4 months. No one ever calls from this company to follow up. I was calling weekly to get any sort of update and every time is "we'll have someone call you to give you an update" which literally never happened. Not once. No one would own up to the project and be the point person. They'd tell me that they're at my house, and literally not a single car was parked outside of my house. The frustration I built up with the lack of communication and accountability forces me to write this review so no one will have to suffer like I had. worst company to ever work with, going on two years with no complete bathrooms. they then proceeded to lie to our insurance company claiming to be done, while we actively can't shower in two out of three of our bathrooms. now we are stuck in a rut they created and trying to manage getting out of it. (also refused to give us an itemized list but continued to ask for more money they didn't do the work for) Edit: Since posting this Adam's has just recently reached out. but do not worry it wasn't to reach out and fix the work they barely did, it was for more money. We still have only two out of three showers working but after our third shower has had a little use in it all of the work adam's did is starting to deteriorate. there are cracks in every single corner of our grout (even some places in our shower are just caulked because they would miss spots when grouting and go over it with caulking) there are barcodes being shown on almost every other tile piece, they incorrectly put our shower doors in, ect. but did they ask to fix any of these problems? no they asked for more money. Don't get me started on the sub contractor Juan who will let his dog into your house for it to pee all over the house and at the same time try to make allude and inappropriate comments about me and my sisters. please never hire this company, working with them was worse than losing the ability to shit in my own toilet. read more

In March, Adam's Disaster and Restoration was called in by a plumber after a leak caused water damage under my kitchen floor. From the beginning, their conduct was unprofessional, disorganized, and ultimately, exploitative. I feel compelled to share this experience after multiple failed attempts to resolve the situation with them directly. Here's a breakdown: On March 23rd, I discovered a water leak in my kitchen foundation after finding water seeping out from the tile. I removed a 4 by 4 portion of the floor to see where it was coming from. Adam's Disaster and Restoration was called in by my plumber to dry out the walls. I personally would not have called them. The plumber then failed to return my calls, so I contacted another plumber who resolved the leak in two days. Adam's Disaster and Restoration ran drying equipment for nearly two weeks, despite my insurance company confirming that such equipment should never be needed for that long. I promptly paid all the invoices the day of or the day after they were sent. The day they started the tear out, they covered all of my AC registers and cold air returns but didn't turn off my AC beforehand, causing the AC condenser motor to burn up. I had to later call a repairman for repairs 3 different times. They also blew out the GFI outlet outside of my front door from running too much equipment. They said they would repair it, yet it remains unfixed. For over a month, they procrastinated providing the proper documentation--such as the asbestos test results and the information on the water mitigation--that my insurance company repeatedly requested. After finally receiving the documents, my insurance found they billed for two tests when they only did one, among a multitude of other things they billed for yet never did. Despite the lack of communication and documentation, they issued a bill for $39,031.02, claiming charges for drying, packing, tear-out, and full repair services. I paid $14,166.65 across multiple invoices, each paid promptly. Their representative frequently called, aggressively demanding payments--even when I hadn't been sent an invoice. On May 5th, while I was out of state attending my granddaughter's graduation and only able to pay a portion electronically, we arranged to send someone to my sister's house to collect a check I had arranged that covered another $4,000 payment. On May 8th, they demanded an additional $9,000 to begin repairs. I paid this, and yet by May 28th, no work had started. Fed up and still out of my house, I terminated the contract, hired a new company, and had the sheetrock and tile fully replaced within two weeks. Their breach of contract is clear. They tore out all the tile without proper insurance authorization, removed sections of sheetrock, and left my house unlivable--while failing to begin the agreed-upon rebuild even after being paid. Upon overpaying for work that was never done, I am now owed $2,732.56, and they have gone completely silent. No returned emails. No further texts. Calls ignored. This is the same company that would call daily demanding immediate payments. To be clear: they took thousands, performed only partial demolition, failed to rebuild, delayed my ability to live in my home by 3 months, and now refuse to reimburse me. I have documentation of every invoice and every attempt to resolve this. Leaving this review is my last resort before pursuing legal action. I will reach out one more time before I contact an attorney. If that comes to be the case, I will take the broken down itemized invoice highlighting every additional thing they billed me for yet did not do, including certain things worth hundreds that are not even in or done to my home. If needed, I will get back all of the money I am owed instead of the meer $2,732.56 I overpaid and am requesting to be returned. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!! This company entered my life on the heels of a plumber to fix/repair a toilet flange. Flange corroded away after 30 years. There was no flooding. No damage to surrounding cabinets or walls, just "moisture" under the linoleum. Plumber did his thing and was gone in 2 days. Adams swooped in and set up fan and dehumidifier. It took almost 2 weeks for them to submit estimate to insurance (and it was for the demo only). Took almost another 2 weeks for the repair estimate. Front office is VERY focused on collecting money BEFORE even providing the estimate. Seriously! Scheduling actual work, not so much. Front office and scheduling issues are similar to other feedback comments. Nobody would answer my questions about selecting/approving replacement linoleum pattern. It took 4 weeks before someone finally mentioned that rebuild supplies are sourced from Home Depot. We had to pick linoleum online from HD website. In total, 5 WEEKS for a simple linoleum replace and toilet reinstall. To be fair, once Omar was dispatched, the reinstall job was done in 2 days (1-1/2 actually).....AFTER 5 weeks of runaround. Omar was AWESOME (courteous, knowledgeable, and skilled). He should be working for a better company. read more

Similar experience to others rating Adams very low. They responded quickly, contacted the insurance company for us to get the claim started and then everything moved slowly. And progress was made in our rebuild only after we called multiple times to get updates are request work. Our claim started February 18th with a flange leak under the toilet. They ripped up the flooring, took out our vanity and dry wall up a couple of feet. Demo took place within days. Eventually everything was submitted for our homeowner's insurance and they received the check. It took several weeks the for a project manager to come out, and we were told all work would be completed over the next 6 weeks so our guests arriving for Easter weekend would have the Guest Bath available for their use. Then nothing but delays, no return calls, calls that were returned indicated no update on the rebuild of the vanity to start the install. Finally on the Monday before Easter, the tile and toilet were installed, but no one knew what was happening with the vanity rebuild. We asked for a temp sink which the cheerfully provided. Little did we know that would then bill our insurance company another $643 for the temp sink never advising us there would be a charge, further insult, the plastic tub/sink and faucet were billed as $463 on the invoice, but is available at retail at our local Home Depot for $168. After Easter we were advised the the project manager was being pulled from our job, the work had never started on the rebuild of the vanity. It is now May 9th and the work has been completed (except that the reinstalled sink is leaking into the new cabinet and someone is coming by this afternoon to remedy that. Work was of good quality, happy with the state of our Guest Bath which we'd just remodeled 3+ years ago, but lack of communication, ownership for the job, miss-information and all the work we had to put into driving the job to completion mad this a frustrating experience. Find someone else to do your restoration work. read more

However after they got our almost 20k from our insurance. They made it sound as if our house would be back together the next week. We'll 4 month later still nothing is put back together. Sorry I take that back they came in after 4 months to measure for cabinet. They only cabinet is in the bathroom. They never removed it. It wasn't effected by the leak.. GOOD LUCK IF YOU USE THEM. If I could give 0 stars I would. I do not leave negative reviews often because I am not easily pissed off, but I absolutely have to for Adams D & R. I have been dealing with these scammers for 2 years! They were the first contractors I dealt with as I am a fairly new homeowner. At first, they were nice, accommodating, and communicated. This was as they were gutting my kitchen counter. They took WAY too long so they could run up the insurance bill. Even my insurance agent was astonished by how long they took and all the added fees on their estimates. It took them a full year to put my counter back together. They kept claiming it was because of employee shortages(when they actually returned my calls). Once they put it back together my counter top was chipped, the wood wasn't stained, drawers were stuck, the counter was not leveled, and edging of the counter were MIA, etc, etc. I asked them to come back and fix it and once again they did a sloppy job. My counter is still chipped and the rest is basically falling apart. They outsource their contractors and all of them had no knowledge of the work being done in my house AND did rushed and sloppy work. Now for the financial portion. Not only did they run up the bill for sloppy work, they also have harassed me for the passed year claiming I owe money. Insurance paid for everything so I paid in full the first time and they said I was good. Someone from Adams called again months later saying I had an outstanding balance. We went back and forth until I was exhausted. I was eager to get them out of my life so I just paid it. Months later they called me a third time! Saying I owed $700 for a temp sink! I sent them the paid invoice for the temp sink and card statements and they said "I see you did pay the invoice, but it looks like the money went to another balance and you still owe for the sink." WHAT?!?! Anyway we went back and forth for months via phone & email. They were very rude and snappy. I asked to speak to someone higher up and eventually I got a letter from a lawyer saying if I don't pay they will sue! I sent the lawyer the same receipts. They are bully's and will get over on you. My insurance company paid them over 8k for a water leak under my sink that's took 1 year to fix & sloppily repair. I've endured 1 year of harassment for payment that I did not and do not owe! I will definitely be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and taking ANY other action I can. I'm so confused by any "5 Star" reviews. read more

This company was terrible. They came to our house to demo the first floor tile. They left destruction and scratches on our hard wood. They left all of their demo equipment here for months after the demo, and then asked us for equipment that was never even left here. They are unprofessional in how they communicate and manage projects (our personal house taking 4.5 months before they even set a team out to start). They did not put any tarp or plastic down on the carpeted rooms they had to go through, leaving the carpet in the rooms not only dusty, but the bedrooms themselves that weren't even being worked on. Dan has worked with many customers, the vast majority of whom are very satisfied. If this matters to you, Adams also treats its employees well and pays fair wages. The worst company ever! No communication and one employee has zero idea what another is doing. I had a leak in my upstairs laundry room. Extended into my kitchen and and adjoining bedroom. They came out put up dehumidifier in kitchen and laundry room plus some fans. No tear down. No picking up the carpet to try and save it. I was told the next day (Saturday) someone would come and check on howbdry it way getting. On Saturday I had my washer reconnected. He told he people often turn the dehumidifier and fans off at night due to noise. Well I work 3rd shift, the dehumidifier was causing my dog great respiratory problems so I turned it off while I was at work and turned it back on when I was home sleeping. Except for the laundry room. See the supervisor disconnected the hose when he connected my washer so when it was on water got all over the floor. I called explained this; nothing, demo team on Monday turned it back on with tube disconnected. They also left wet carpet on the floor instead of pulling it back to dry. I looked at my kitchen cabinets they took down. All damaged. Those cabinets have to be reinstalled. My carpet upstairs is black from the dirt. And there is debris in my front yard. I again called about the dehumidifier in the laundry room and this was the 3rd call. Someone came to look at it bringing another thinking it's broken. I said no lookbthis hose here is disconnected. So they left it in a small laundry room for overn10 days. I finally had to call and say come get this equipment. Then I was harassed with emails and phone calls saying sign this for restoration, we need to start restoration. I don't know how many times I had to tell them no before they understood. The experience with Adam's Disaster and Restoration was more than horrible! I have a small kitchen and Adams took greater than 5 mos to do the repairs / restoration. Worse yet was that each team that came out worked only on their own piece and had no idea about discussions with the PM or other teams, nor what was done by other teams. I asked several times for a phone call or visit from Shane / owners, and was ghosted the entire time. I am a renter and, sadly, the owners were compelled to work with me at their loss. Adams' ownership and office staff are rude, disrespectful and couldn't care less about the client. When finally completed(ish), we (the owner and myself) were asked to acknowledge a complete job. I refused until I could use/check all repairs and found multiple areas of less than decent work. Even incorrect installation of a dishwasher purely due to lack of training! To be fair, the workers were awesome, polite, clean and respectful. It's really unfortunate that they don't work for a better company...I suspect that they are treated as I was, very poorly. read more

Scam artists for sure! they will try to get you to file huge claims with your insurance company that are unnecessary and will get you dropped, regardless of what their salesman says. I will not even use the plumber that recommended them because of how awful my experience with Adams restoration was. Disgusting that they try and take advantage of people. Avoid at all costs... a year later and I cannot get my rebuild completed. Have been hounding them to finish, but once they got the insurance money, they're extremely difficult to get ahold of... always promised a return call because the supervisor is conveniently in a meeting every time I call... much of the work that they did complete was shoddy work... These guys are a nightmare, they tried to commit insurance fraud. I had a small water leak under my kitchen sink, they brought in blowers, claiming all kinds of things, and told me not to worry about it, that they will get me a new kitchen through my insurance company., then they wanted to pull out my kitchen cabinets., i told them no., to get their blower out of my house and that I was turning them in for insurance fraud.., Unethical company do not to business with them.., read more

This company will do work that is not requested and not in the contract. They will then hound you and harass you for payment. We told them numerous times to contact the insurance company for any payment they feel is owed. They would not. They would rather harass the homeowner. I'm sure there are other reputable companies out there for your disaster and restoration needs. One more harassment email from them and they get reported to the Arizona Attorney General's Office, the Better Business Bureau for investigation, and the Arizona Registry of Contractors. read more

Don't go with this company. This company is an scammer. They told us they would do the job and contact the insurance for us. But they fuck up the insurance and now the insurance declined to cover. They start to avoiding contact me for 2 months then they give me an invoice for couple thousand dollars for just come in and check and contact the insurance, which they have never tell us it would be this much for them to just come out and check on the situation. They scammed me. Let this be a warning unless you want to spend couple thousand dollars for them to come out and looks the situation and not doing anything. read more
