Location: great place if you're out in Riverdale - there's a Keyfood/Dunkin' Donuts/pharmacy/etc right across the street. Quiet area but there are also other restaurants in this strip. Food: Pizza was yummy, I did prefer the pepperoni. They use the cup ones - so good! Large pie total was $28. Service and vibe: Friendly staff, there's about 3/4 tables so on the smaller side. I was in town (from MA) for the day visiting a friend not too far from the pizzeria, and I was pleased to stop by for a couple of slices before my jaunt back up Northeast; Patsy's in Spanish Harlem and Louie and Ernie's are my usual choices of pizza anytime I visit the City. But, I wanted to avoid cross town traffic before hitting the roads back home, so instead Addeo's was prominently located to suit my needs before embarking on the journey back home. I am glad I stopped there. I'm also glad they are located next to Riverdale Bagels, which is another stop before heading back; two for the price of one!! The staff were very nice and accommodating for service and my pizza needs; I ordered two large pies (one eggplant and the other mushroom toppings) for takeout. In the meantime, I had two slices of Grandma pizzas (one olives & basil and the other tomato with fresh garlic). My taste buds were blown out of this world, that's how satisfying the pizza slices were. I am partial to the fresh tomato and fresh garlic pizza because of its aromatics punch, however; I'll takeout a full pie of tomato and fresh garlic on my next visit! All the best!! read more

Thiis is a casual-looking place: neon in the front windows, but it delivers a superior restaurant experience. Our story started with a phone call: I called before noon to assure myself that Addeo's still made gluten-free pizza, and I was assured by the friendly man on the other end that they also did GF pasta. His name, he told me, was Jody. When my wife and I came in tonight, six hours later, and began to order, the man behind the counter broke into a big grin and said, "I spoke to you this morning!" That, my friends, is the kind of thing -- personal connection -- that makes dining memorable. But the nicest people in the world can't make up for mediocre food, so let me assure you that the food at Addeo's is superb. My wife and I shared a Caesar salad, full of fresh romaine and cheese, then moved on to a GF pasta a la Norma -- delicious sauce, the penne firm but not undercooked, well-seasoned and hot on the plate, and a GF vegetable pizza. Again, wonderful: the problem with most GF pizza is the heavy damp crust. Addeo's was crisp and cooked on the bottom, and the edges were delightful. You could have served it to any pizza connoisseur and gotten high marks. The place was busy: local couples, people picking up take-out, police, people greeting each other happily. Checked out the menu online. Called in an order to go. Arrived at the pizzeria. The wait wasn't too bad, but the prices were very different. Spoke to a worker who related that the online prices have changed and haven't been updated in a while. I ordered a penne vodka pizza, mozzarella sticks and a specialty white pie, $83. The Mozzarella sticks were frozen, heated to order.. not fresh. Don't recommend. A vodka pizza, which is vodka sauce, cheese, and dough, was $27. It's tough for me because the personal white pie was very good but the rest was sub par. $83 for 2 pizzas and mozzarellas sticks is crazy but I guess that's inflation. read more

I've never been here but I will be ordering here for now on .I wasshopping toay and coming out keyfood my cart broke its wheel , a gentleman named Joey who works at addeos was walking home and saw me and came right up to me and carried all my groceries home three blocks in the rain . I'm a older lady and at my door I wanted to give him some money but he refused . He told me he only wished he could carry home groceries for his grandmother who has passed one more time and I was able to make him feel that .I almost cried when he said that . This was my husband and I first visit and not only the pizza and salad were great but the service the young man gave us was so good we are recommending to everyone we know . Just ordered two personal pizzas and wings for pickup. The confused looking guy at the register prints out my order and confirms it with the pizza oven guy, who says it'll be ready in 10 min. After 20 min. I ask again and the confused guy gets my two pizzas that have been sitting around and brings them to me. I ask him where my wings are and he stares at me with his mouth agape, then asks if I ordered wings. I wait another 10 minutes, still no wings. All that time my pizzas have been sitting out getting cold until the manager decided to put them on top of the oven. Finally the wings come out and the manager tries to chastise me for ordering through an app instead of calling because apparently orders don't print in the back, whatever that means. That's the manager's problem, not the customer using an app your confused little pizza shop put yourself on. read more

Review for delivery. Oh what a satisfying meal it was. We wanted to have something a little more festive for lunch at work this day as my coworker's birthday is coming up, and this was the perfect choice! I put my order in on seamless and the food reached us in about 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. So, since that's not a valid excuse to stop working in corporate's eyes, I decided to order two pastas and a calzone for the three of us today. We decided on penne alla vodka with chicken cutlet, a chicken cutlet parmigiana over rigatoni, and a chicken marsala calzone. I appreciate chicken cutlet being an option because grilled chicken tends to be too dry for me. The penne alla vodka was so delicious. The sauce was perfect to my liking - creamy, flavorful, and not too salty. They also gave plenty of chicken cutlet. Perfect for sharing! The chicken parm was also good. The cheese hardened up by the time I got to it. I can only imagine how much yummier it would be eaten fresh. The calzone was huge and only $8! A nice addition to our meal. Pink sauce, red sauce, and white sauce. We had it all! I'm thankful for the big portions. It was so much food that we were able to give almost a whole container of food to a fourth coworker. Addeo's has delicious pizza. While the staff isn't altogether inviting, you get what you see--the pizza is on display, and I can't knock that. There's no in-your-face salesmen here; they throw whatever slice you want in the oven, and they'll answer any questions you have. They have some creative takes (Mac attack? Based on your favorite fast food burger) and any of the old-faithfuls. They've got a good selection of drinks and desserts to pair with your meal, and everything is served quick as can be. My main qualm is that the interior feels a bit dated and unkept, but I'm not hosting my reception there so who gives a whoop? Side note: delivery feels as fresh and delicious as an in-person visit. Two words: Grandpa Pizza. So good. We ordered from Addeo's twice and both times we got that pizza. It's a fresh, thin crust Sicilian pie topped with actual tomatoes and basil. I want to say that there's 8 slices in all. We definitely had leftovers the next day. It's a hefty $23 but it's worth it for the quality. We've only had experience with this business via delivery but have not been disappointed. I've tried many different kinds of slices but the ones that have stood out are the margherita, the grandpa, and also a BBQ pizza with steak and peppers. I even tried the gluten free pizza when I was eating with a friend who has a gluten allergy and even that was good.
