I was tired of pulling a comb through my overgrown hair in frustration so I went to Theo's for a hair relaxer. Theo took one look at my hair and knew exactly what to do. She recommended that I get a texturizer so that I could continue the process of transitioning into natural hair. She was incredibly gentle with my hair (and I'm pretty tender headed). When I was done, my hair looked perfectly straight and styled. She also offered to teach me how to blow dry my hair (a frustrating process for me). Over several visits to her salon, she taught me the tips and tricks necessary to efficiently blow dry my hair (for free!). This is a skill that I continue to use to this day. Overall, I recommend Theo to everyone. She can handle any type of hair or any texture. She goes above and beyond for her clients and conducts her business with integrity. He will work with you to transition to a totally different look and know when to say something will not work for you. I've referred friends to him who are just as satisfied as I am and are also referring to Dan. That, I believe is a great testimonial in itself. When you are with Dan, he is focused on you and not conducting business or socializing with other clients. You can count on a minimum of 1 hour for a cut (I have short hair). It's a small and social salon which adds to the experience. You do not have the buzz and chatter of the larger salons. I should mention, although I don't "do" color, I like the color I've seen on other clients. With Dan and Katie's (make-up) help, I was quite the Liza Minnelli for Halloween. Katie researched Liza's looks and did a great job. With the exception of the signature beauty mark....I wish I had the occasion to use her talents again. Dan accomplished the perfect Liza 'do' --spraying my grey hair black. Perfect. Their energy for Liza was catching... a fun memory with a dynamic team. I have been to this salon before and Kelly always did a good job but I travel for work and have been in and out of the area so I decided to book online with Natasha for partial highlight/dimensional color + tone, gloss, treat w/cut and style the price online was 250.00 and I had to pay 125.00 when I booked the appointment. I went into the salon and Natasha was very nice but she did an awful job on my color. My natural color is light brown but I have been doing blonde highlights especially around my face. I told her that I wanted my base color lighter and golden blonde highlights. I even showed her a photo because I was very definite about what I wanted. Well she did my base color dark, dark brown (darker then my actual real hair color) and blonde highlights around my face but they are so even I have a big clump of blonde on the right side of my band (she cut curtain bangs, which I had and like) that it looks ridiculous. I look like a skunk with this clump of blonde and then dark brown everywhere else. I wanted to be more golden blonde for summer and my hair is darker than it's ever been. When she showed me my before and after pictures, I didn't want to tell her but I liked the before much better then the after. The other thing was she told me that she would have to charge me extra because she had to use more color and when I got the bill she charged $110.00 extra and it's says for Root to End????? Isn't all color root to end???? Really disappointing! I ended up paying 360.00 plus a tip for her for dark brown hair with a clump of blonde in the front?! I hate it so much can't wait to go somewhere else and try to get it fixed. Natasha told me not to worry that next time I'd book "full highlights" and it would look better. When I told her that it was really dark she told me; "don't worry, it will lighten up when you wash it a few times." This isn't my 1st color and I'm quite sure that no matter how much I wash it, it will never be the blonde color I asked for. Unfortunately I will NEVER go back to there.
