Teddy's massage was great, he is obviously very well trained and knew more then the common massage therapist.

Indeed her knowledge of where tension is carried in the muscles is formidable, I am really amazed at how an hour with her is more effective than a week of pain killer! We are now "regulars" -- and couldn't recommend her more highly. Yes, it is relaxing, zen, super spotless and all the rest but more than that it is preventative and holistic an approach to pain and (let's face it) real life management. Jayne is really a soft spoken and knowledgeable gem of massage therapy!

I have been unable to resolve the issues with 3 other therapists. Jayne is exceptional because of her personality, approach, intellect, and talent. 1) Jayne is enthusiastic and happy. She greets you with a smile and she is curious about what brings you to her. 2) When you discuss your problems, Jayne listens. We discuss how the conditions evolve and she reconsiders her approach week-to-week, articulating her thoughts before she starts. Other massage therapists were approaching my body with the same treatment, like a routine. 3) I like to know the body so I go to the sessions with some knowledge and questions. Jayne is great to talk with to learn what she knows. 4) My body responds best to deep tissue work, and Jayne seriously delivers deep tissue application. After each and every session I leave feeling we have made an improvement. My goal was to restore my hips and legs back to a fluid and flexible feeling so I could return to a weekly 5 mile run. For over two years I stopped running due to pain and muscular tension following gradual spinal compression due to aging, hip and pelvic strain, and Achilles/Plantar Fasciitis. Jayne eliminated my muscular tension and increased my flexibility and range of motion. I can run again and feel fluid and flexible with my stride. GO SEE JAYNE!

He only honored half of the amount. I wasn't sure of NY law but I was pretty sure businesses are supposed to honor expired gift certificates. I didn't want to cause a scene so I paid the other half and left. Researched it when I got in the car and NY law requires a 9-year validity for gift certificates. I called back and he just kept saying it expired and they just follow the rules. It wasn't worth it to get into it with him so I just told him he shouldn't be doing that. He thanked me for telling him but never offered to honor the other half of the certificate.

At the end of the very average massage, I was told a minimum of 20% tip was required. This was a minimum of 20% on the service amount AND the tax paid for the cost of the service. When I said this is not posted, I was the told..."I did a very good job for you, you pay me more now"... then my receipt was put back in front of me, he then points it telling me I had to change the tip I'd already added...when I didn't add what he felt was enough, I was told to either Venmo him or bring more money later. At this point I felt unsafe and agreed to bring more later just so I could exit the store without his continued harassment. His demanded amount was ABOVE 20%. What I tipped him was 16% and this was above what his average service with multiple interruptions within the service, bullying harassment and demands for a "minimum tip" AFTER the service was provided deserved. It's unfortunate that this is what this establishment deems, "good business practices".

Decided to call Sakura Spa in downtown New Rochelle, 800 ft from my apartment! Was able to get an appointment within 1 hr of calling. Walked to the location, I'll have to admit I was confused. Not a huge buisness front just a small sign on a door that led to stairs. Called them and was told to come in and up the stairs to the 2nd floor. I will say this made me nervous but I was committed. Once I came into their suite, my anxiety subsided, it was elegant, beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I paid for my hour massage and was led into a room were I disrobed and slipped into the covers. Jenny, my masseuse came in with Bella and let me pick out my oil scent. Then soft music started and I began my relaxing yet deep massage for my tension. I'm telling you this was the best massage I had ever had. I was pampered from head to toe for over an hour !!! I WILL be returning!!!! Thank you so much !!!! Best Mother's Day gift to myself ever!!!

Everything was cool until they asked me to pay and tip before my massage. As strange as that was, I agreed without hesitation since I was looking forward to a massage. When they asked me how much I wanted to tip, I asked them first for a suggestion. They didn't give me a clear answer so I offered 21% on top of their rate. The masseuse proceeded to scoff at the number and acted insulted then walked away. The funny thing is, had they just been clear about what tip they wanted, I would have paid it no problem. Instead I had to just walk out of a very off putting and unprofessional situation.

Updates to reviews about this place…read more My first time going and I read the prior reviews to know what I was getting into. I booked online for the massage + pedicure package. Pricing - true to prior reviews. The prices online are not up to date on their site. The site said $135, but I was charged $155.00 (excluding tip). Also they take cash and Zelle. Credit card has a 3% surcharge. Privacy - looks like they've updated the privacy. There is a back room that is private. But I do want to note in the middle of my massage my massage therapist left the room with the door open to retrieve some hot stones, while my cheeks were out, so I was a little taken aback by that, as that was a semi busy area so I wasn't sure if anyone was getting mooned by my flat pale ass. Massage - honestly would give it a 4/10. She was a bit rough and wasn't really hitting the pressure points I've normally experienced with professional massage therapists. She also got on top of the massage table a few times and straddled me at different points to reach certain areas, which I wasn't expecting nor have experienced before. But overall it was professional and relaxing for the most part, not sure if I would book for the massage again. Pedicure - hands down the best pedicure I've received. It was thorough and she took her time doing a great job. Will definitely come back to get my toes done here.
