I went in with a Groupon and paid out of pocket and they were very accommodating. For the first few years, they made me feel at ease every visit and I was religiously going in every 6 months for teeth cleaning and check up. When they moved to the Koreatown office is when it started to feel like they were starting to push me to fix numerous things and that number would increase every visit. I eventually never dealt with Dr. Arezoo or Dr. Azy unless it was very brief. Some teeth cleaning were done poorly and some other assistants were not pleasant to deal with. Prices kept increasing bc of Covid and supply issues yet every time I go in the office there are new gadgets. I went in to replace my crown and they took x-rays 4xs bc they wanted to make sure the crown would fit. There was a time when dentists didn't need all these toys and they managed just fine. The kicker was their new financial policy they wanted me to sign. $150-$300 per hour cancellation fee! In the 14 years I have never been late to an appointment and last time I had to cancel that morning bc I woke up with a fever and had to go to urgent care and they tried to charge me $200. They said I should have known I was going to be sick. That is unreasonable and disgusting to charge people that much. I asked what our compensation would be if they had to cancel on patients last minute and they made excuses. I'm so sick of everyone being greedy. I suggest you go elsewhere. I'm done with this place.

I did not wait long maybe 5 min after filling out paper work. I was taken to a room where the x rays took place. My oral check ups have not been the best due to a horrendous experience with my previous dentist. I prolonged getting into a dentist office for 2+ years . Anyway, after some extensive research I decided with this office. Dr. X and the supporting diva made me feel so comfortable. In the beginning I wanted Invisalign, because I was a college student back then and didn't want to spend my college years having braces on, but Dr. Nam convinced me to first get braces for about 6 months and then switch to Invisalign since the braces would be more effective in the beginning stages. I agreed, and thought 6 months wouldn't be too bad. However when the 6 month mark passed, and I asked him about switching to Invisalign, he said to me in Korean, "why are you so focused on your looks, you should be more focused on your studies..." umm excuse me?!! Long story short, I did not have a backbone back then and didn't want to argue with him (I'm Korean and talking back to someone older than you is extremely taboo), but that statement stuck with me for over a decade and I still can't believe he had the audacity to say that to me. I did not end up getting Invisalign and had braces during a good chunk of my college years because of him. Honestly it's one thing to convince me to get braces all together, and another to bait and switch what you say.. All and all, if you want someone to talk down on you and go back on their word, go to Dr. Nam. He also tried charging me like $700 for a retainer replacement when other dentists have provided them for free or half the price.
