Fair to call out: we just paid $39/person to eat here (!). So that's a big consideration! No doubt. But you gain premium ingredients, a bunch of seafood (AMAZING salmon, AWESOME blackened shrimp, and more)... the best kale salad, a full charceturie board w/ delicious cheesee, tons of protein and meat options galore (perfectly crispy bacon!), great accompaniments (chorizo gravy, cream cheese trio), and just a stupid ton of all-you-can-eat food. Nash Vegas keeps delivering. This was memorable w/ a lovely interior, friendly and attentive service, and killer brunch vibes. I was in town for a conference, and the organizers arranged all of our restaurant outings. Since dinner was served family-style, I had the chance to try a wide variety of dishes. We started with the cauliflower salad, kale salad, and cornbread, all three were excellent. For the mains, we had the beef, fish, and chicken. The fish was the standout of the meal: perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The beef was a bit overcooked for my taste, and while the chicken was good, it wasn't particularly memorable. The chocolate dessert was absolutely fantastic and ended the meal on a high note. Overall, I'd definitely return for a solid, satisfying meal. It's also worth noting that serving a large conference group well is no easy feat, and the restaurant handled it impressively. read more

Most recently, I attended their Easter brunch buffet with my parents while they were in town for the holiday. The buffet featured several familiar items from the restaurant's menu, including some of their classic shareables like the potatoes and broccolini, alongside seasonal offerings like shrimp and molasses-glazed ham. Unfortunately, this visit felt a bit underwhelming overall. While there was plenty of variety, very little truly stood out. Some dishes, like the bacon and broccolini, tasted more like something I could have easily made at home rather than elevated brunch offerings. The shrimp was noticeably overcooked, and the molasses-glazed ham felt like a dish that needed more development before making it onto the buffet. The flavor profile just didn't feel fully realized. One of the biggest disappointments for me was learning that their famous coconut cake was no longer available. When I asked about it, a server mentioned that the chef responsible for it had left the restaurant some time ago. That moment honestly summed up much of how this visit felt. Fantastic experience at Adele's! When I landed in Nashville, I hung my clothes in the hotel closet and walked straight to the restaurant. Outside I see BBQ smokers and outdoor seating. The restaurant, I see is set up for fun! I arrived early so I can have a happy hour cocktail. Walking inside, to the right is a large bar with plenty of seating. I have a seat and order off the cocktail menu: Something, Somehow, Someday. Made with Tequila, blackberry agave, aperol and lime, this was one tasty cocktail to get the party started. Once I finished my cocktail, the hostess sat me at the chefs table. Now I need a proper cocktail (I mean, I am in Tennessee) so I ordered Walkin' After Midnight: Old forester rye mixed with raspberry-mint demerara. Another proper cocktail before dinner. For my main entree, I ordered the Redfish. A perfectly cooked fish topped coconut rice, shaved apple & celery and crispy shallots. The coconut rice elevated this dish, it truly was fantastic and highly recommended. The chef came over to me, we had some small talk and then he sent over some oven potatoes. Just a classy move that made my meal extra special. My first night in Nashville, I went to Adele's. The vibe is like an elevated cafeteria with endless southern brunch staples like shrimp and grits, waffles and bacon/sausage as well as adventurous options like the eggs in purgatory, roasted chicken/salmon, and biscuits with chorizo gravy. Went here for Sunday brunch after hearing about the buffet style they offer. It's a beautiful space with some Southern charm to it. There is a small parking lot they offer customers but I had to find street parking nearby. Service was friendly throughout. Now onto the food... there is truly something for everyone and I think this would be the spot to take any out of towners visiting. The standouts for me were the buttermilk biscuits with chorizo gravy, shrimp & grits, and the bread pudding for dessert. Went here for a pre-Valentine's date night with the wife! We got there early and they were able to find a seat for us. For a place we seen online as a casual brunch spot, they turned it to a dimly lit, intimate dinner experience with live jazz music. A go-to place in The Gulch. Especially if you are into a consistently fine regional menu highlighting fish, vegetables, pork and chicken. It's like the best kind of mashup of Nashville and New Orleans food. Love the conversion of the old industrial building, even leaving the old garage doors in place. Has a good bit of outside seating too and handles larger groups well. What's not to like? Creative cocktails, good lists of local beer and international wines. Starters are fun, recommend the crawfish fritters, a combo of crawfish and hush puppies. Love the redfish dish--ample serving that is perfectly grilled and then enhanced by rich sauces and accompaniments. My partner says the same for the eggplant, as best in the city. The cocktail list is creative too, and the drinks we did manage to get were excellent. But here's the thing: for a nearly 3-hour dinner, we were only asked once if we wanted another drink. And that was... pretty much the extent of the attentiveness. The service felt disjointed and indifferent, especially for a restaurant in this price bracket and neighborhood. It wasn't busy enough to justify the lack of check-ins, so it really stood out. It's a place I want to love, and maybe I just caught them on an off night , but at this level, that kind of service shouldn't be a gamble. My boyfriend and I LOVE coming here for date night. This farm to table restaurant continues to change and upgrade their menu based on the season, so if you're not a fan of a current menu, try again in a few months. We always have great service with knowledgeable and attentive servers. Tonight we had: - peach bruschetta - YUM but not enough whipped feta for my liking - shrimp ceviche - amazing by itself but the plantain patties were less than superb - little gem salad - pretty good, my boyfriend wished there was more dressing but I enjoyed it, the orange was a nice addition. I wish we had gotten the burrata to add to it though - red fish dish - Jonathan loved the coconut rice, lemon was noticeable but not overpowering. The fish was okay but would try something different the next time - the mahi mahi (market fish - mahi mahi tonight) was amazing with a Spanish influence. For me who isn't a big fish fan, I would definitely order this again. Took over 50 minutes for our meal to arrive, which honestly gave me time to reflect on my life choices, write a novel, and probably learn a new language if I tried. After about 40 minutes of pure character development, we tried to change the order -- naive, I know, and our server, instead of just using his big boy words to say "no," sent out the manager. Because clearly, saying "sorry, too late" is a two man operation. Relax dude, we weren't gonna start waterboarding you at the table. Oh, and the server was wearing shorts. Shorts. At a restaurant. I guess if you're gonna make me wait an hour, might as well be comfortable doing it. Power move honestly. Respect. Food time: The cornbread was incredible like, suspiciously good. Sweet, salty, fluffy! basically if a birthday cake and a loaf of bread had a very successful child. Kale salad was salty enough to preserve meat for the winter. Brussels sprouts were hyped up like they were gonna change my life, but spoiler alert: they didn't. Potatoes were fine. Chicken wasn't dry, but tasted like it had an existential crisis before it made it to the table. Also, no mayo. Because clearly we're being punished. Dessert was...there. It existed. It didn't hurt my feelings, but it also didn't heal my wounds from waiting 50 minutes either. A bit of a delayed review. Dined at Adele's last fall while on a girls trip with mom and sister. We learned of this Jonathan Waxman restaurant while on a sightseeing tour earlier that day and were pleasantly surprised to score a reservation that evening. None of us were overly hungry, so we shared an app, salad, main, and a side. All were very tasty. We started with the bruschetta, which was wonderfully prepared. I love burrata cheese and pomegranate, so this was right up my alley. The shaved Brussels sprout salad was dressed nicely, though I like a little heavier dressing, which they accommodated. For our main and sides we enjoyed the gnocchi (which I forget to get a pic of), potatoes (nice and crispy), and pork ribeye (yummy!). All were delicious. This was the best meal we had in Nashville. We made a last min reservation on the 4th of July weekend. We were promptly seated when we arrived and the service was exceptional throughout the night. Our waitress recommended we try the pork and as suggested it was excellent and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the fish and that was pretty good too. While visiting Nashville for my birthday with a large group (15 people) we made a reservation for Adele's brunch on a Saturday morning right when they opened. It had been recommended by a few co-workers as well as our Air BnB host so I knew we had to try it. The amount of food was honestly ridiculous (in an amazing way)!!! I'm typically skeptical of buffets but Adele's really knows how to do it right. The place is super cute, clean, and packed. We sat still the bar and I love that they have the garage doors to open when the weather is nice. Our bar servers were excellent and gave us other recommendations around the area for dinner and cocktails. But...brunch is a buffet and it's $35 a person. So you need to come hungry. The buffet had everything from breakfast to smoked wings, pulled bbq, fruit and desserts. I love that you can see the guys making the food behind the buffet line. One of my favorite parts was the blueberry Johnny cakes which were like pancakes but the blueberries were juicy. The biscuits were really fresh. Another favorite was the wood fired pork which you could really taste the wood fired. So many options, it was worth it. I hosted a dinner with friends last night a Adele's and it was a wonderful experience with one major exception (see note on gnocchi dish below). The setting is very cool inside a spacious high-ceiling building with both indoor and outdoor space. The service is excellent, we were celebrating one of our friend's birthday and they offered her complimentary prosecco and gave us her budino dessert gratis. The food overall was excellent and came out quickly - love the open kitchen concept and it was one of the best ones I've seen to date: small plates/salads: - cornbread - 5/5, one reviewer said it was dry, we thought it was incredible with the honey whipped butter, one person said it was their favorite item - kale salad - 5/5, plenty for five us to share with some leftover, light and delicious - shrimp ceviche - 5*/5, this was my favorite item, came fresh and light and citrus-y with a kick, along with fried plaintain chips (we think) - grilled bruschetta with grilled peaches and whipped feta - 5*/5, another of my favorite items along with others at the table, I want to learn how to make this! came with black pepper honey, so amazing! mains: - smoked duck leg - 5/5, we all enjoyed this more unique preparation of a duck confit type of offering - chicken - 5*/5, meaty, perfectly cooked pieces of chicken, delicious! - redfish with coconut cream, mango pineapple salsa - 4/5, very rich, solid dish but not as much of a standout - gnocchi - 1/5, this was a HUGE disappointment, truly close to being inedible. The gnocchi were hard, definitely not pillow soft as one should expect of gnocchi. When we shared with our server that it was terrible we were surprised that it was not taken off our bill (he did offer to have it made again but no thanks!) dessert: - chocolate budino - 5/5, really a nice preparation with freshly whipped cream on top, if I wasn't so full I would have wanted to eat more of this! - brown butter gelato - 3/5, we could not figure out what the flavor was as it did not remind us of browned butter and there was also some texture inside (like tiny flake of coconut) which was confusing We tried to order the tiramasu (their spelling) and they were sadly out of it for the evening. Talk about a Southern food spread! If you were thinking about going to Adele's brunch buffet, the answer is yes! The brunch buffet is only available on the weekends and there is so much variety, so good for groups. I love that they had breakfast and lunch options and for lunch options, I loved that they had a whole salmon filet, wood fired pork sliders, chicken, soup, and more. The salads were so refreshing I highly recommend them and they even had 3 different types of salads. For breakfast, it was nice they had cold items like yogurt, bagels, and muffins to hot breakfast like bacon, eggs, shrimp and grits, chicken sausage, and biscuits. I also got the hot coffee and they serve skybear coffee, which was delicious. One thing i was slightly disappointed and I'm not sure if it was an off day or I missed it but their menu had all these desserts like cookies and some other desserts part of brunch and I didn't see any. Visited Adele's for their Mother's Day brunch. We were about 20 mins early for our reservation and the staff did not hesitate to seat us immediately. The place was packed with line out the door, so I was grateful to get our brunch going. I loved the brunch area/spread. Nothing was crowded and it was laid out so perfectly. They have a person dedicated to replenish each dish so there is never a fear that it will be out. I will say the buffet line was long and did not move quickly so we opted to get two plates to start our rounds. I loved that there was a photo booth and a separate dessert station. The restaurant is open and roomy so you aren't crowded unless in the line for food. The buffet is elevated w traditional items w fun and fresh ingredients. So I had a 5 star experience for my night at Adele's. From the moment I walked in, I received a warm greeting and the correct instructions for parking in their lot as I had parked in the wrong space. They do validate parking. Decided to sit at the bar which provided ample space and there were plenty of tvs to catch the Saturday night sports. Service was great. I was always attended to and the bartender kept my water glass filled. I ordered the chicken which was juicy and more than enough for a single entree. However, the chicken did not come with a side, so I ordered the potatoes as a side which were also delicious. Im not sure why but the restaurants provided me with a salad on the house and that really completed my dining experience from a health standpoint but also made me feel as if I was at home. Thats nice because I am a nashville native and somehow only recently went to Adeles. I would have ordered dessert but they left me with no room. Group dinner for two tables in back room. Open bar and a private room for two tables - about 20 guests. Prix fixe menu which had good choices for a group with various dietary restrictions - vegetarian, pescatarian, etc. Dishes came out family style - about 2 dishes per table, except for the roasted chicken. Started with some large meatballs in sauce and mozzarella - very nice and complimented well a large salad of kale, pecorino cheese, anchovy dressing and bread crumbs. I am not a fan of kale, but this was nice - looked good and tasted good. Roasted chicken in salsa verde - cut into segments of dark and white meat. Could have been juicier or more sauce, but still tasty. Mahi mahi in creamy rice, lemon and celery root - fish segments were small and hard to see through all the rice, but still tasty. Then gnocchi, tomato, brown butter, olive and pecorino. Gnocchi were stuffed with sausage or ground meat. Roasted potatoes with rosemary and pecorino and some seasonal veg (Brussel sprouts) - which complimented the proteins. Lastly, was a chocolate pudding. Servers were constantly pouring water and refilling wine glasses. They changed the plates and tried to clean the crumbs off the table clothed tables. Highly recommend Adele's for a birthday dinner (or any occasion). Adele's treated us to complementary Prosecco and desserts (bear in mind we were a party of 2 so that's not realistic for a large party). We could smell the smoker at work while entering the restaurant, so of course I got the smoked duck leg as my entree. Other restaurants of this caliber and menu structure tend to provide small plates, but I found the portion sizes to be generous among that class. My duck leg came with a giant baked cheese cracker and roasted carrots sitting in a peach glaze sauce. The Brussels sprouts side was crispy perfection. The cornbread starter was to-die-for if you like sweet cornbread (has chipotle honey) & perfectly whipped and salted butter. Another sweet treat was their top cocktail: Adele's Milk Punch. It's translucent despite listing milk as an ingredient and kind of had apple cider vibes in being both fruity and spicy. Our waiter was vulnerable with us joking that he was a half step behind all night, but I thought he and all the staff were exemplary, even clearing off our table crumbs after each course. While arriving with dessert, he sang a short happy birthday tune and lit a candle--very thoughtful. Although this is a downtown restaurant with elevated food options, the staff isn't hoity toity. The hostess was realistic about our parking options and helped us validate after we parked in the garage across McGavock St (just a 1 minute walk). My food was boxed for me, and we never had to wait too long for attention to order, get the bill, etc., granted we weren't in a rush at all. A couple improvements would be that I booked on OpenTable an outside table for a May evening, but we were seated inside although the outdoor weather was in the 70s. Nothing personal--nobody was seated outside, just would've preferred not to have the OpenTable option if it wasn't real. Additionally, they were out of the brown butter gelato but had all other flavors available. Overall, a stunning dessert menu so I can't blame them if they weren't able to keep up with the brown butter gelato orders. I'll be back to taste it another time! Awesome AYCE brunch spot for about $40 per person excluding drinks! We had a huge group for a bachelorette, and our server Megan was absolutely phenomenal in helping us figure out drink options, and provided a few complementary items for the special occasion. Otherwise the food was delicious, especially loved the salads, Johnny cakes, and strawberry pannacotta. We all went up to the buffet for multiple rounds.
