[[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfy restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was a little slow, but friendly. A bit pricey, but food was good.

I was in Nashville on a work trip with zero time to explore, so I opted for convenience and ate at Hoppy bird inside the Hilton, and I'm genuinely glad I did. The menu is straightforward and comforting in the best way: fried chicken, wraps, chicken and waffles, with heat levels ranging from mild to hot and classic sides like mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. Exactly what you want after a long day. I ordered the Hoppy Hot Chicken Sandwich with their spiciest sauce and a side of mac and cheese. For me, the heat landed closer to mild, but if you're not a regular spicy-food eater, it may hit a little harder. The real standout was the mac and cheese, rich, creamy, and topped with what tasted like a light, crunchy panko layer. Absolutely excellent. For dessert, I couldn't pass up the fried Oreos. Warm, crispy, and indulgent in all the right ways my only regret was not ordering a glass of milk to go with them. All in all, Hoppy Chicken delivered classic comfort food done right. If you're staying at the Hilton or nearby and want a solid fried chicken fix without leaving the building, this place is a no-brainer. Also, the place has a really nice relaxed vibe that has several tables and it also has a bar area. It has like a really cozy corner. Not sure if maybe there's karaoke or like somebody sings that night but it gave really nice vibe and the staff was really nice.

This place was connected to my hotel. Decided to try the Nashville hot chicken. Had the chicken and waffles with their standard heat. Man I love chicken and waffles with syrup. So yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty quiet on a Sunday night and the service was top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bar tender was very nice and social. I also had the Nashville beer on tap and really really liked it. I'm sure the locals will laugh at me, but it was really good. Got a discount too for staying at the hotel.

I ate here twice during a recent visit to Nashville. Really decent food and friendly, hard working bartenders make Hoppy Bird a pleasure to visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also live music on Friday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were in Nashville for a conference. Decided to try Hoppy Bird since many places not open at lunch. The service was very good, attentive, gave good information/recommendations. Did was good, but burger and chicken fingers were warm, not hot. Fries and Mac and cheese were hot. Given we were the only people there at the time, was not impressed with that. Food was tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came in for a late night bite as it was conveniently located. The hot chicken and waffles were far from hot (spice), and I thought the portion of chicken was small. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Other than that, the vibes were on point if you wanna get away from the rowdiness of broadway.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Half way filled drinks

Super convenient bc it's attached to our hotel so we thought we'd have pre outing drinks and snacks. We made a mistake. The service was not great (but friendly) and SO slow. We sat at our table for probably 9 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. So we started to head to the bar for service and then the bar tender said no no we'll come to you for service. Every staff member seemed brand new and like they didn't get full training completed. 2 of our drinks (which were specialty drinks) were only filled half way? Even though the other two people had FULL drinks. When we received our snacks of fries and fried pickles (which took approx 25 mins for 2 very easy menu items) we got no silverware or napkins. The whole interaction took probably an hour when it should've only taken 25 mins max. They did have live music which was eh. Would not go back.

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. Stoke Haus is a must-visit and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the brisket burger. You won't regret it.

You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!

Think of it like two legendary bands collaborating on a "Greatest Hits Mixtape." I can't wait to see what comes next from this powerhouse combo! Today I went with a couple of flights and here's how it shook out: Engywook - Wild stuff. The cinnamon and nutmeg absolutely jump out at you. A small taster was perfect for me it's definitely a conversation starter. PG&J Mixtape: Grape - This is my jam (literally). So good. Sweet, nostalgic, perfectly balanced. In my opinion, one of the best in the country. Freezes & Hoverboards - Solid beer, well made, just not my personal favorite of the lineup. Peach Black Currant Strawberry Hill - Very good. Big, layered fruit flavor with great depth. Strawberry Delight Hill - Sooooo good! This is a must-have. Bright, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Peanut Butter Copra - A stout with peanuts and a hint of toasted coconut. Let this one warm up a bit and the flavors really open up. Rich and smooth. Batch One Theory: 10th Anniversary Stout - Very good anniversary brew. I caught a subtle barleywine note blending into the stout character -- complex and interesting. Overall, this is a great place to sample some seriously creative beers. Plenty of space to sit inside or out, relax, and work your way through a flight. As we spent our time no one seem to as if we needed anything or if our selection were ok. We got some "why are you in here type" looks. I was not impressed by this brewery.
