Adelphia replaced my roof in 2015 and gave me a 10 year warranty. They did a great job at a very reasonable cost. Earlier this year (11 years after my roof was replaced), I noticed an issue with the edge of the roof. I knew the warranty had expired but I reached out to George at Adelphia. I explained the situation and he had a crew stop by to examine my roof. They found the problem and suggested a fix. When I told George what they found, he said that he would honor the warranty even though it had expired. This is the kind of customer service you only dream about! This company is great! I had quotes by three different companies to replace windows, paint our brick, install new siding, install new doors, install new gutters/down spouts, plus add new insulation! Adelphia was the only company I contacted for an estimate that would take care of all my needs with one contract. This is a family owned company that has been extremely responsive throughout the entire process. Our initial appointment was with George, who wrote the estimate, the contract, and was our main point of contact; Vickie (mom) runs the office and frequently coordinated with me by phone; and Nick (dad) founded the business in the 1980s and oversaw the painting. The painting is second to none. multiple coats with the highest quality materials looks beautiful! Next came the exterior siding. We wanted to replace our original siding and decided to change it to vinyl shake! You can see the results in the before and after photos. We are thrilled with the results! This is a local family run business. George came out to give us an estimate and explain the process and materials they would be using. His sales technique is very pleasant and low pressure. We had been looking at several companies for our siding project and ultimately went with Adelphia based on it's reasonable price and value. Scheduling the job was easy, the hardest part was selecting the color. I would've liked the option of seeing a larger piece of the siding once we narrowed down to our final couple of colors. It was a hard choice to make from the small section on the color wheel. Since that's literally my only complaint I'm not knocking off a star. The job is now all but finished (I thought husband ordered garage door, he thought I ordered garage door, so for a week to 10 days we have a crappy old garage door our old color). The price of the job was very reasonable in my opinion, the quality very good. I recommended Adelphia without reservations. read more

My experience with Adelphia was one of the worst I have had as a homeowner. I chose them because they promote themselves as a family business and I didn't want to work with companies that subcontract things, as there's never any accountability. Well, the sales team is the family. They use schedulers and installers who work for other companies. This was apparent when they called me to schedule stating they were calling from "Window Nation." And it was apparent when they called me one hour into my 3 hour installation window to say they were not coming because their truck broke down. If they worked directly for the company they would problem solved and gotten another crew out or rescheduled for the next day. When pressed, they admitted the installers work for the window manufacturer. The second time the installers came out, they broke two of the picture windows before they could be installed. So another installation had to be scheduled. The crew left debris around my yard, including metal objects and bits of insulation. And the installers damaged my window trim around two windows. Not once did they point this out to me. It was found later, days after they left. The young man who came to inspect the installation quickly scheduled someone to come out and repair the trim and paint it. The most frustrating part of this experience was I had to call George in sales to raise my issues and frustration because he never made any attempt to make any of this right. After I told him of my unhappiness with the entire experience is when I finally got a make good offer -- a 5% discount and $500 off my next project. When I tried taking him on the next project offer, he sent me one email with an option and then never got back to me. He ignored two emails from me trying to get that ordered. His word means nothing. We needed to replace our original wood windows in our 1967 Colonial House in Annandale, VA. I did thorough research and knew that I wanted to install ProVia Endure windows. Adelphia Exteriors was one of 5 companies that we had come to our house to give us a quote. Tim Koutsis who is one of the owners of the company came to our house to give us a quote. Tim stood out from the other companies in multiple areas, including a few characteristics that is important to me. Tim presented our options with clarity and without a high pressure sales tactics that I received from other companies. He talked to us about the pros/cons of wood, vinyl, and fiberglass replacement windows, and then priced us out several options of each type so that we could think about what would be the best value for our house. In the end we chose Adelphia Exteriors because they were able to perform a full-frame installation with the windows for one of the lowest costs, and because we felt comfortable going with a family owned business that had stellar reviews. In addition, we have friends who had their roof replaced by Adelphia Exteriors. The workers that work for Adelphia Exteriors were professional, on time, very courteous, respected our house, and cleaned up after themselves each day. They did a fantastic job, and frequently checked with us to see if we would like to look at how the job was progressing. This was all done during the COVID Pandemic and they were wearing masks and shoes to ensure that we were safe, and likewise we returned the respect by wearing masks when we were around them. After the installation, Tim's father, the founder of the business came by to finish the job by painting the remaining wood pieces around the new window installation. Can't say enough good things about Adelphia to do them justice. I am a realtor in the area and they really came through in the clutch. A client needed to have insulation blown before our closing to meet the requirements of the negotiated inspection contingency. Due to certain circumstances, we hadn't even had an estimate done and it was 5 days until closing. I called Adelphia because they were close by and I also heard great things about them from friends. Someone came by within 3 hours to do the estimate. After the estimate I was informed that it would take at least a week to have the insulation blown. Obviously this wouldn't have worked because the closing was in 5 days. So I then called their office and spoke to one of the owners, George Koutsis, and explained the situation. He said he would do everything he could to have it done in time and would get back to me. The next day he calls me and tells me that they will have it done on the 4th day. My clients and I were incredibly relieved. Their empathy and situational awareness during this situation was incredible! They exceed expectations and everyone associated with them are kind and fair! Something is seriously wrong at this company. I called for an insulation estimate; they schedule and appointment. When the appointment comes the person doesn't show. Eventually calls and says he's running late and reschedules. Next time runs late again but eventually shows up. He does the work and collects all the info he needs and says he'll send the estimate tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and goes. I call back and ask where my estimate is. They confirm my email and say they'll get it to me. The estimate never arrived. read more

They were going door to door around my neighborhood and offered a good enough quote on replacing our gutters. They came and did the work but left a mess in our yard of scrap metal and the debris from our old gutters. We have a dog and small children so this was kind of an issue. They finally called several months later to collect payment and I told them I was dissatisfied with how they left my yard. I was told I should have called them to come out and clean up the yard. Fair enough, but I assumed they wouldn't wait 6 months to call me. Since then I get calls from them annually saying "Oh I see we did a painting project for you" (they didn't do a painting project for me). I ask them to take me off whatever list they have me on, but still I get calls. More recently I got a text message and email from them. I don't want to do business with them because I felt my project was not professionally handled and I feel like my requests to not be contacted by them have been ignored. The Adelphia team are complete professionals from start to finish; the entire team, from office staff to foreman to work crew were respectful, courteous and communicated throughout the process. The estimate was fair, and the custom windows we selected were exactly what we ordered; they were of excellent quality. The work crew showed up ahead of schedule and worked from 8 am until 5:30 pm, finishing every detail, to include removing the manufacturer's exterior stickers from the second story windows (which we had no way to reach). The work took exactly a day, as promised, and was accomplished professionally and in a high quality manner. The crew was knowledgeable and the job foreman visited twice to check on the crew - this is a rarity any more and for this reason alone we'd hire this firm to do work for us.
