when you walk in there's a iPad with check in we didn't know that iPad is for new patients, because last time we were a new patient, so we checked in like that soo we then proceeded to help ourselves since the lady was on the phone she says in a stern voice what are you here for my my husband answered then she says okay well that's for new patients and continues on the phone it took for someone in the back to see my husband standing there to help check him in for his 8:30 appointment not sure who this lady was didn't want to ask her name I had walked in a few secs after my husband and just sat down and witnessed everything I was super shocked to say the least but we didn't say anything it's fine because we can just move no need to complain to them either about it but we will be moving dentist now after this little rudeness sorry. I always go to Bakersfield because it's Hard to find a nice non-clinic dentist in shafter/wasco. Very nice office. Quick service. Doc was great. 1 problem . I feel they overcharge. My mom, me & my kids went . Mom & I both both noticed we have NEVER paid as much out of pocket other places. I have good Delta dental premier insurance & I have many covers options. This is the only reason I will go back to Bakersfield dentist. If you work on prices I'd go back. read more

I came to the dental place for an emergency I had cracked a tooth and it was an agonizing pain they got me in the same day and they were just so professional they understood I have anxiety about going to the dentist the dentist that pulled my tooth was amazing I felt a little bit she gave me another shot I couldn't feel anything the reception in the receptionist in the front was amazing she made me feel very comfort and I felt at home I didn't feel like I was another dollar and the lady in the back of the hygienist that helped me she was amazing made me feel very comfortable I would totally recommend this place to anybody who has fears of going to the dentist read more

Very unprofessional. I'm actually hurt by the way they tried to scam me out of money. I went to a routine check-up and was told I needed a deep-cleaning. I paid my $70 co-pay and got the cleaning. Nearly two months later, I received a call saying " I'm so sorry but we made a mistake. You only qualified for a regular-cleaning. You did not have bone-loss so your insurance is refusing to pay." I was then told I was now responsible to pay $600 for the deep-cleaning. I couldn't believe it. I did not ask for a deep-cleaning. I paid my co-pay. Why am I responsible for their mistake? I never would have agreed to that; I would have just gotten a regular cleaning. Shameful. Unprofessional. Never again will I do business with Adept Dental in Shafter, CA. read more

Doesn't Fix Their Shortcomings Without Extra Charges I was a patient here for five years while living in Shafter. During that time, I had only one problem, a crown which came off, which was quickly fixed when I brought it to the attention of the dentist at that time, Dr. Parrott. When he retired, Dr. Park took over the practice and seemed to do an adequate job. I recently moved out of the area and in the course of one year three crowns have dislodged. All three were less than three years old. My insurance feels a crown should last at least 5 years before being replaced, but since I was in a distant location, paid for my new dentist to replace the first two. While visiting Shafter this week, another crown (the third one) came off. When I went to this office to have it re-cemented, I was told that I had run out of dental benefits for the year and that I would have to pay over one hundred dollars to have it re-cemented. This crown is also less than four years old and the dentist should have done the work without charge since the work on it was done by their office. Needless to say, I am glad I am no longer a patient here. I mean, come on, three crowns needing to be re-cemented in less than one year? That's ridiculous!!! read more

Dr Park is Incredible. They have a new laser machine that is 21st century incredibly great. She did four fillings on my front teeth with any shots and 100% pain free. A family member recommended this office to me, as I've had bad experiences in the past so I'm always sceptical. I live over 3hrs away from this office but figured I'd make a road trip out of it if nothing else. I was NOT disappointed! I was due for xrays, which I hate because they always hurt my mouth so bad, they take such a long time & I usually end up with sores in my mouth after. That was not the case here!! The technician was fast & it was pain free. The Dentist was thorough in her exam & answered all my questions. My cleaning was fast & efficient. I would highly recommend this office to others & actually can't wait for my next road trip (dental cleaning) in 6 months!! I would definitely recommend Adept Dental. In my life I had only been to the dentist once before and even then I was completely freaking out, nervous, panicky, you name it.
