I posted a project on Yelp and Alma from Sunset Plumbing responded quickly. He said he could come out that same day, but it wouldn't work for me, so he came out the next. He had great communication, told me he wouldn't charge to figure out the problem and didn't. He spent time at my house working to figure out where the leak was (under the dishwasher) and even noticed another leak under our kitchen sink. In the end he charged us a very reasonable rate and discovered that the dishwasher housing was the problem once he repaired a hose line. Looks like we will be working through the manufacturer to get a replacement dishwasher. Alma offered to install it for us, too. Really nice guy, friendly, and honest. Thanks Alma! We'll definitely call him again when we need more plumbing work done.

While they were trying to fix it their machine broke so they had to dig up our entire front yard. We understood they aren't landscapers but you'd think they'd have common sense. Less than 30 days later the water main broke again. They had installed it incorrectly and caused even more damage. This resulted in yet more damage to our yard. Then we went to turn on our sprinkler system and they forgot to hook that up to the water main when they fixed it the first time. Yup you guessed it. They had to rip up the yard a 3rd time. I understand this wasn't the plumber, he hired incompetent workers that couldn't do the job right and took 3 times to fix a problem with our yard getting worse and worse each time. The owner refuses to take any responsibility and is offering no solution. Because this happened outside of our house its not covered by insurance and has now cost us well over $10,000!! This is not a company I would recommend if you ever have any issues. Yes they will fix it but there is added costs each time that they refuse to even acknowledge.

One guy stopped by and let me know the job would take a minimum of three hours and cost me $550. I called Robert Carter, and he drove up to my house from Spanish Fork (I live in Draper) within an hour. Stopped by, took a look at the issues, went to buy supplies, and within an hour and a half, he was completely done. Super friendly guy. He's a master plumber, licensed and bonded, and the quality of his work was really impressive. Oh, and did I mention cost yet? Well, let's just say he saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. Several times he mentioned that he "couldn't sleep at night" if he charged people what the larger companies charge. If you are in need of an honest plumber who does high-quality work, but at a fraction of the price, this is your guy.

It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.
