I've been to in downtown Petaluma. the only thing I didn't like was the lack of color which I'm sure is a trend for fall or the winter season. Lol everything was all beige, white and a weird tan color, which is too close to my own skin color and honestly washes me out. I was surprised to see the only thing that did have color were all on the sales rack and in larger sizes or very petite/small sizes and each $20 apiece. Lol. I really like the environment, and every employee greeted me as I walked in, so I felt welcomed, but I didn't really see anything I would wear without altering or dying a different color. I guess I will have to go back in the spring when they get some new colors. But I did like the whole set up of the store very easy to walk through and I really like their display table with the jewelry And individual stones you could buy.

The staff team is very close but also a little too focused on their own lives rather than focusing on their job and customer service. Store is pretty well maintained in terms of cleanliness. There were styles to suit many people there were colors for more than one complexion. The Talbott style does lean towards the practical and the casual. You don't hear me objecting. When I popped in today, it was clearly the holiday season in there. The sales weren't quite as impressive as the ones I saw on my first trip, but this is clearly the lead into the holiday frenzy and things will be changing rapidly. My doctor just informed me she's making a change to my medication's. Therefore, I will be losing weight again involuntarily. While I may be actively looking, I won't be buying anything until my weight settles down. I believe that will be sometime after the new year so I'll have to check again. But it sure is encouraging to pop into Talbots. Here's a store with clothing I feel comfortable wearing and I think I can rely on them to offer me selection and excellent price when I need it. They have a huge parking lot so it was easy to find a spot. It was fairly busy inside, but I was still warmly greeted by an employee. They have a big selection of not only woman's, but men's clothes as well. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, so it was nice to grab a bunch of stuff to try on in their fitting room. One of the workers, I believe Kaili or Kaylee was her name, was incredibly helpful and patient with me while I was shopping around with my stroller. She was able to steer me in the direction of some nice lounge tops and leggings. I ended up walking out with a few items! Everything was very nice quality, comfortable fabric. Prices are a little high, but you're paying for the quality. Definitely will be returning when I need to re-up my workout wardrobe!

1 STAR -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more Absolutely horrible experience at the REI bike shop. I brought in my own wheel to have a hub swapped, and I was initially quoted $140 for the job. I received an email saying the wheel would be ready in four days, so I waited. Four days came and went -- nothing. After I reached out, I finally received a call two days later telling me they hadn't even started the work and that the price was now going to be another $100 for spokes. That was completely unacceptable. I already had access to the correct spokes for around $20. If there was going to be an additional charge, that should have been communicated clearly before taking the job and making me wait nearly a week. Then, two days later, I get another call saying the wheel is ready. Except it wasn't really "ready." They essentially built the wheel and handed it back bare bones -- no tire installed, no cassette installed, and no rotor installed. And here's the part that really irritated me: they wanted to charge me another hour of labor just to install the cassette. We're talking about installing a cassette onto the freehub -- something that takes minutes. I was honestly shocked. I've used this same REI bike shop in the past for a similar wheel build, and the experience was completely different. A few years ago, I paid around $140, and the wheel was properly put together without all of these additional charges and headaches. This time, the whole experience felt like they were looking for every possible opportunity to add another charge instead of actually helping the customer. The lack of communication was just as frustrating as the pricing. To make matters worse, I was asked to sign a release of liability essentially because I didn't pay extra for them to install the tire and cassette. At that point, I couldn't help but feel like the entire experience had become ridiculous. A bike shop should make things easier for the customer, not turn a straightforward repair into a series of unexpected charges and delays. I won't be returning to this location. After being a previous customer, I expected much better. Extremely disappointed and definitely not the level of service I expected from REI.
