Just got new tires installed balanced and an alignment within an hour, fast service. The people are able to tell you cost of different sets of tires and let you choose from low to high in price, they don't push for selling higher price items and add on services which is nice. This place SUCKS. had an appointment for 9 am saturday. tires didn't show up until 3 pm. re scheduled for next day- took forever, and didn't even put my spare back under the truck. this use to be my go to place for tires. but not anymore. they will gladly sell you tires. but when you have a issue and need assistance for the warranty coverage they won't help. beware. think about what you will do if you really need the warranty in a set of tires. read more

Adirondack Tire Store - CUSTOMER BEWARE Route 30 Amsterdam, NY 12010 On Saturday June 1, 2019 we visited the above location, around 11am, to have all 4 tires inspected on a 2008 Jeep Patriot. Although the location was turning away many customers coming in due to the amount of business currently underway they agreed to look at our issue. It was understood all 4 tires were to be looked at to fix the tire light on the vehicle. Watching through the window the mechanic used the power tool to loosen the lug nuts on all 4 tires. The person at the front desk (mechanic also?) informed us the issue was with the driver side back tire and they repaired it. We drove away and the tire light was off. During the week the jeep had progressive ratting and vibration coming from the front end. Driving on thruway could only be achieved at about 40mph due to vibration. On June 9, 2017 we took the vehicle to Monroe on route 30 in Amsterdam, NY (Adirondack Tire was closed). The mechanic brought the jeep in and immediately called us to the inside of the garage. He was able to move the front driver sides tire freely back and forth and told us all the lug nuts were stripped a stud was broken off, the rim was bent and the tire could of came off on us at any time. He asked if we recently had work done to which we replied yes and that we should take it back to that location for a new tire, rim, stud and lug nits. E explained the store was closed and to go ahead replace the stud and the lug nuts and we would contact Adirondack Tire Monday June 10, 2017. On Monday I contacted the Amsterdam location and was referred to the Saratoga store to talk to the General Manager. He assured us that the issue would be taken care of and sent a text saying he would contact us when the check and tire were in hand. I called the General Manager on June 17th and he said their corporate office would be in contact with me (Schenectady Location). I have called there on several occasion speaking with team members and being assured although the person handling the check issuing does not always work in the store she gets her voice mails and messages. Both members assured me they sent her messages on June 26, 2019, July 1, 2019 and July 2, 2019. I personally left 2 voice mails on July 1st and 2nd. On July 3, 2019 I called the Schenectady Location was assured at 8:19 that I should hear from the check issuer in approximately 15 minutes. I called back at 9 and spoke with her. She denied every receiving any messages or receiving a contact phone number from me. Although the General Manager said they would take care of the issue and was very understanding she said they would not pay based on the length of service of the Amsterdam mechanic and the write up the Amsterdam Manager (who was not there that day) provided. I have notified the people mentioned above this is unacceptable behavior for a retail and would not be tolerated. At this point it has been 24 days and I have been just told the contradiction of the General Manager's text message. Moral of the story Adirondack Tire is NOT interested in Customer satisfaction or what could happen as a result of poor performance and incomplete work. read more

I was recently in Amsterdam visiting Family when one of my tires started losing air. I was driving down Rt. 30 and remebered that there was a tire store near the Walmart. I pulled into the Adirondack Tire Center and they took my car right in and fixed it. It needed a valve stem as I recall. They didn't gouge me and the Manager couldn't have been nicer or more professional. I would recommend these guys. read more

I had one tire replaced today, and the process was painless and reasonably priced. They got me in the same day I called (on a Saturday, no less!), and took care of my car in under an hour, even with a number of other customers. A new Goodyear tire cost me about $100, and installation was free. No complaints. read more

Went there today to have my seriously bald tires replaced. The horrendous snow storm ended and I took a shot to get new tires. The manager, Frank was helpful and excels in customer service. Gave me my options without any pressure and told me I would be leaving with new tires shortly. He was right. Old tires off,new tires mounted and balanced in no time at all. Didn't get the name of the person who was working in the garage but he was quick. Price was reasonable and great customer service is always a reason for return business. read more

Sat 1 hour for them to replace 2 tires and alignment. I was the only one there. Got home and a few hours later one of the brand new tires was flat. It was leaking out of the valve stem so it was their fault. read more

I was looking for a local place to get a 2 wheel alignment and decided to go to the Amsterdam Adirondack Tire Center. A previous garage that did some work for me closed so I couldn't go back to them. I was given an 8 AM appointment by Mark the manager. Upon arriving I was told it was going to be several hours as they were short an employee, but they did get my car in within an hour. I was then told that I needed an outer tie rod end and lower control arm. My $70 expectation suddenly was going to be $485+tax! I said that was beyond what I could spend and went home to call and get quotes on parts and another shops estimate. I called Mavis in Johnstown and spoke with Chris that quoted at most $375 including tax. I called Mark back and asked if he could match that price. He refused. I then went up to Mavis who then informed me I did NOT need the extra parts and actually took me in the shop and showed me. In the end, Mavis only charged me $64 which included rotating my tires! Hurray for Chris at Mavis in Johnstown for his honesty. Boo Hiss on Mark at the Adirondack Tire Center.
