I've reviewed a year or so ago what's basically the same place under the Historic Taos Inn. I'm not sure why they have a separate yelp page but also the Adobe Bar section is separate off from the rest of the Inn (yet still connected) so that may be the reason. I'm unsure if the food menu is the exact same; that leaves some mystery to be determined in the future. But anyway, we were basically stranded with nowhere to eat and nothing to eat when we first got into town and my boyfriend's father thankfully offered to drive us into downtown for some grub. They have great beers on tap and in can. I think I had a seasonal cider and a good ole favorite stand by when I'm in town - the Santa Fe nut brown. I ordered the enchilada platter with chicken in red chile sauce. It comes with beans and spanish rice and is covered in cheese in blue corn tortillas. There was something about it. I'm not sure what but I wasn't digging my meal as much as the first time I came last year and I think I had a brisket burrito of sorts then. The food was kind of mediocre but not terrible and my boyfriend that ordered the same thing agreed. The music was a little loud but that's because it was an open mic and really depends on the performer. The place is really cool and always packed. The back seating since the front was full was also rather pleasant.

What a great space for sitting and talking.

This review is only for the bar. It is really a great space; perfect for hanging out and talking. Drinks were fine. Service was indifferent. The music was pretty good. The space makes up for the shortfalls. Actually would make me consider staying at the hotel!

Amazing food. Shared the nachos, salad and fajitas with 3 other people and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was prompt and friendly.

It's a very small little bar tucked in the lobby of the Historic Taos Inn. The bar itself is only 8-10 seats but it opens up into the lobby where there is ample seating and live music every night. There's also a fireplace and the old city well in the center that has been converted into a fountain. Very nice spot within the hotel to enjoy a drink and relax.

Este lugar es de los más hermosos que he visitado. La calidad de la comida es estupenda. La atención es increíble. Diría que lo que más me gustó de este lugar fue la margarita Spicy con chile del desierto de Chihuahua.

We weren't staying at the Taos Inn but decided to come here for dinner and margs after a local's recommendation.

Stumbled on to this place during a Yelp search and glad I did. It has a pool table, yes, but it's…read morereally as much as restaurant as a bar. It has a nice patio where we sat and enjoyed cocktails before ordering dinner. The menu is pretty much New Mexican/Mexican with some American standards mixed it. Everyone found something they liked. I highly recommend the vegetarian green chili, which comes served as a stew in a bowl or a cup, depending on how hungry you are. It had just enough heat and honestly was one of the best things I ate while in New Mexico. A friend had the version with pork and said it was also great. Patio is also dog friendly if you've got a four-legged friend with you.

Looks like we're a little too early for the live music, but there's a pool table in the back room (yea, that means we'll be back! I'm having first date at Sharky's vibes as a little Elton John and Aerosmith are playing on the juke box) Plenty of bar-food options. We're grabbing the coconut chicken fingers tonight, not real hungry- just wanted a place to get out of the house for our last night in town. They arrived, hot, friend and not bad- not real heavy on the coconut (in case you were wondering). Could use some kind of a tropical pineapple-something sauce, cause the ranch just feels a little weird. I couple see us coming back- especially for the pool table!

It was Bernice who made this place special…read more We wanted chili but had to switch to Sagebrush because we got to Taos after many places closed. But Bernice's welcome, kindness and excellent service made all the difference. She gave us a taste of Scottish beer to make sure we liked it. We did. She gave us a taste of green and red chili, which I guess is what Taos means is chili--not the bowl of meat and beans we had in mind. So at 8:30pm, we settled for a loaded baked potato, and black beans & roasted corn, and carrot cake. They were tasty but the corn and beans had the dreaded Canola. Bernice completely understood our avoidance of the "bad" oils. We minimized it on just the one side dish. We were hungry. But please owners, switch to lard! Or butter. It's the trend and you'll get more business. It costs about $.50 a plate more. We"ll pay it. Many will. It was quiet and restful dining. Sagebrush was across the street from our hotel, so we were grateful we had no more driving on an 11 hour day from Flagstaff.

Despite its cuteness however, it doesn't look like it's been visited by many based on the number of photos uploaded as of April 18, 2026. It might be its location as it's tucked in a quieter area from the center of Taos (it's still very much walkable from it though.) Well, I shall (thus) contribute to it. Great selection of whites and reds. Unfortunately however, none of the reds I got to sample didn't strikingly impress me and yet the Rioja was the best one out of the 7 displayed upfront. I hence went with a glass of it. Despite the beautiful weather on a Saturday at around 5:25pm, nobody was there. The live band for the night had just gotten to it where they were doing a little rehearsal. There was a good hour to the start of the show. The food menu also had a good selection of small bites from charcuterie board to hummus plate to meatballs to dumplings to flatbread etc. And the prices of them were mostly $10 to $15 (except the boards.) I had stopped at a different wine bar earlier where I had gotten me a few food for me to eat at the hotel so I didn't get anything at this place. Maybe next time. It's a great place for girls' night out, a date night or a solo dining as well. As I have mentioned already, live music every night. You can sit close to the band or a bit away from it near the entrance. Wherever you sit you'll be surrounded by the great ambiance. I enjoyed it tremendously.
