Trying to find something different in Taos, aside from Mexican, can be a challenge. We opted for pizza, and I will say this place didn't disappoint! While I would give the food and service a five, the only reason why I knocked it down a star is because our food did not come out at the same time. Not to mention the parking issues! What we ordered: - Pepperoni pizza (12"): crust was good, crunchy but chewy at the same time. A perfectly executed wood fire oven pizza! My son devoured it and enjoyed it. If you're watching portion size, you can share this easily with someone else (3 slices each) - 6" personal size cheese pizza: perfect size for one person, the sauce and cheese had just the right amount of flavor. Crust is the same with the 12". My daughter liked it. - 12" Smokey Quartz: this is the crème de la crème of pizzas!! The dough itself was perfectly made, again chewy but crispy. The basil pesto sauce, the prosciutto, the sun-dried tomatoes, smaller pieces of cherry tomatoes, smoked mozzarella and that "I can bathe in" lemon vinaigrette drizzled on top is a chef's kiss! This had to be one of the best combination of pizza's I've ever had! I'm usually a Margherita kind of girl but this!!! Wow! I would drive 13 hours again for this pizza! I would definitely recommend this pizza if you like flavor, are adventurous and just want something delicious! Highly recommend this pizza! - Pollo Parmesan sandwich: similar to a chicken Parmesan sandwich only with a twist. The pickled jalapeños have it a nice kick. It wasn't as thick as you would think a chicken Parmesan sandwich would be but it was flavorful and filling. It came with a Caesar salad. The sub came out first and we waited about 10 minutes for our pizza afterwards. In my opinion that isn't quite acceptable. They were apologetic and we appreciated it but they should definitely work on their timing. It might have been a fluke, and this wouldn't be a reason why I wouldn't come here again. This was an excellent choice for a late lunch after a morning hike and then a stroll through Taos Plaza. It's a few short blocks outside the plaza but well worth the walk over. We were greeted and seated right away and everyone we interacted with were super chill and friendly. Their menu mostly consists of salads and pizzas and a full size salad and 12 inch pizza are more than enough for two people to share. The woodfired veggie pizza was amazing with the crust bubbly and crisped to perfection. Really fresh produce both on the salad and tie pizza with the tomatoes being the stand out. It was a mellow crowd on a Wednesday afternoon and a relaxing lunch. Can't speak to the beer, since we only got food but this is a pretty cool spot in Taos and worth checking out! read more

One of the few places in Taos with vegan options. We decided for a personal 6" each, to go. Waited 30 minutes to get the pizza which looked like was sitting in the boxes for 10 minutes... It's very small, some of the older pictures on Yelp show a fluffier dough, ours were very flat and thin. The flavors was good after we reheated them in the oven, not nothing that would bring me back there. The girl at the entrance that took our orders was acting bored, maybe that is why she forgot about our pizzas sitting at the counter... The Great Scot Scottish beer was fantastic, and the Chimayo cocktail was too. We ordered the queso flatbread (with the cucumber pico on the side as recommended). The flavors were delicious, but they should've used a roux so the cheese and liquid would meld together smoothly instead of all the cheese congealing in the middle. As a Taos local, entertaining friends for the weekend, I was totally embarrassed by the staff at the taproom. I am really struggling with this review. This brewery is not exactly what I was expecting based on the reviews. It's a bit chaotic. A bit rundown. If you order a beer, there's certain places you can take your drink. We sat in the outdoor area. The waitress asked a bit later if we had been seated there. She was super sweet, but it was just kind of odd like we broke the rules. I would've maybe given it three stars, but my husband kept raving about his nitro beer. The bartender was very sweet. Super dog friendly! I walked in beforehand to check with the host if dogs were allowed/on the patio and she delightfully encouraged us to bring our dog straight to her where they welcomed him with lots of pets and love! We enjoyed the patio for about 90 minutes and grabbed some drinks and snacks before dinner. I had the margarita and it was yummy! We split a caesar salad and it was decent - the portion was huge! We stopped in one night while in Taos, and it is a tap room, but has plenty of tables and a bar. The pizza was incredible. Nice crunchy crust but tender on the inside. We loved every bite. The Scots Scottish Beer was fabulous and they even have wine, which I love. The glass of Sauvignon Blanc was chilled and crisp. But I should tell you, if you are there, you must leave room for the cannoli. OMG, who would think a brewery and tap room would have a wonderful cannoli? It was fabulous and I am so glad we took a chance. Parking can be a little tough, but it is well worth finding a spot. read more

Came here after oiling a bunch of decks for a somewhat of a celebratory dinner. I've had this brewery on my list of spots to check out for awhile. They have a nice happy hour of only $5 beers. Although, I opted to do a four pour beer flight (should have gone with 6) but these mountain elevations do something to me. I would say the beer is easily 5 stars. I really liked everything I had but the food is definitely more on the 3 star level. People are ranting and raving about the pizza but I ordered a personal sized meat pizza with sausage and pepperoni. The toppings - delicious. The crust was so burnt that it was almost inedible and they say its because of the brick oven. I've had Neapolitan pizza in brick ovens and never had it charred this bad. Maybe it's because it's I believe both gluten free crust and made with organic unbleached flour. And as much as I want to love gluten free bread, it sadly has never impressed me. What did impress me food wise was oddly the caesar salad. That was bomb. It was a HUGE portion for being a small and a meal in itself. We also got a side of their wings. Which were a-okay. They come in a little pot slathered in a hot honey sauce with some peppers and onions and stuff. I wouldn't get them again though. My boyfriend went rogue from the rest of us though and did the smart thing with ordering an Italian sandwich which looked stacked and pretty decent. Beers I tried: Green Chile Kolsch, Little Brown Beer, Hotshot Smoked Porter, and the Berry Cider. As well as a sip of his mother's Prickly Mr. Pink. That one was one of my favorites and absolutely delicious. It was maybe a cross between a sour, a cider, and something I can't put my nose on. But unique and amazing. Out of the beers I ordered the green chile kolsch and porter were my favorites. The porter was rich and robust of coffee flavor. The kolsch was both a kick of spice but also creamier and more luxurious than other jalapeno beers I've had recently on this trip. I think the most disappointing was the brown beer. It was very bland and is also a very weak beer for being a nut brown. I just expected more. But elsewise I was impressed with the taproom's beer selection. Would definitely come back but probably not for the pizza. read more

My family and I tried this place for the first time and were disappointed with the pizza. We order a large sausage pizza, pepperoni and cheese pizza. The pepperoni pizza was not good. It tasted like a thin crust microwave pizza with unmelted cheese. My kids are great judges for pizza and they didn't even finish the pizza. The sausage pizza we ordered was charred on the edges. 1st afternoon - showed up on a Friday around 3:45 looking for a place to have a couple of beers. Told that days hostess we were there for beer. She said we were at the right place. Plenty to choose from, and the waiter let me sample 3 of the beers to determine which one I wanted. Service was nice and staff were friendly. Sat in the bar area at a table And chilled. Next day - walked in around 3:20. Told hostess we were there for beer. She said, go to the bar. She was sorting menus and we didn't hear her very well as a large party was leaving, so we sat in the Bar at the same table from the day before. I now realize she may have said "sit AT the bar". The bar seating was full anyway, so we couldn't have. So we sat at the table. She came by a few minutes later and then got real angry and said something along the lines of, " fine. Just fine. Fine! sit there. Sit at a table. Whatever. Do what you want " and slammed some menus on our table as she shook her head and glared at us. I asked her what was wrong twice and she ignored me, walked off, muttering under her breath. Then she went to another staff member, pointed at me, and started ragging on me and shaking her head. I was still was unsure what was going on. A few minutes later, before I was halfway through my beer, a bus boy dropped a glass of water on my back, legs, and backpack. He said sorry once in a soft tone and walked off. Never looked me in the eye. Never asked if I needed anything. I looked over and the hostess was laughing. No one offered me a rag or cloth. I used some napkins I had to dry my legs and stuff. Some one mopped up the water. No apologies from the waiter or anyone else. While there, bunches of other people came in who just wanted beer and the staff made room for them, moved tables together, etc. They didn't get grief. But never again. 5 stars for the beer, 5 stars for the first day, -100 stars for the second day. read more

Waiter was a good guy but had too many tables as getting a refill was a challenge. We were told that this was the best pizza in Taos. My heart cries for Taos. Also, serve the pizza within 60 seconds of pulling it from the oven. Don't add bad shredded cheese on top. Melt the mozzarella and don't try to use anything but fresh. It is also a brewery. However, many tables that were large enough for our party were "filled" with each having more than 3 empty chairs at their tables. After we were finally seated by the only waiter in charge of 20 tables we waited 30 minutes after receiving our drinks to order our meals. Our meals then proceeded to come out one at a time in 15 minute intervals. The best part of o is that our pizza was soaked in a puddle of water and grease which caused the pizza to fall apart.
