    Rack of pork ribs

We stopped here on the advice of an old timer local. It did not disappoint. Tucked out of town you'd never find it on your own. Very eclectic. Restaurant seems to be an old barn with game trophies all over the walls as well as dollar bills stapled up throughout. Lots to look at. Staff was friendly, food was good. Others have raved about the French onion soup, it was good, I've had better but it was definitely the cheesiest. We ordered the rack of pork ribs and they were amazing. My husband says the best he's ever had. Fall off the bone tender, smoked to perfection with a nice sticky barbecue glaze that wasn't burned on them. Highly recommend stopping here. You won't soon forget it

Ribeye: Huge. Grilled to perfection. Onion soup: Superb. Do not...DO NOT come here without getting this dish. Service: Friendly. Attentive. Ambiance: Masculine.

I Love coming out to the Adobe Deli; it's far enough out of town to make it an adventure but not too far for a fun night out. The ambiance is a taxidermist's mother load of stuffed critters of All types & forms! The ribeye was sublime served with baked potato soup or salad. I Always go for the French Onion Soup as it's broth is rich and unctuous with plenty of melted cheese!

Ribs had flavor but not strong, sides were simple. Overall fine but not memorable, a fair three-star dinner.

Came back a year later for another try. This time our group of 5 started with a large appetizer tray consisting of fried mushrooms, green beans and jalapeño poppers. Washed em down with some cold brews. Very good. I had the NY Strip with a baked potato and salad. Three others had Rib Eyes with baked potatoes and French Onion Soup, and one had the Green Chile Cheeseburger with fries. The soup was outstanding. The burger also had 1/2 lb of quality meat and needed to be cut in half to eat properly. All in all this is a must go experience if you're ever in the Deming area.

    Absolutely Delicious!

This is the second time I've dined at The Adobe Deli! On This trip, I brought had to bring my adult children & two besties traveling from Southern California! My sister lives in Las Cruces & brought me here to dine about 5 years ago! Although it's a little off the beaten path, but it definitely is worth the drive! The food is so good & the staff are very friendly, outgoing & give great service! You won't be disappointed! The building used to be a school & there's rumors that it is haunted! Even Ghost Adventures from the Travel Channel did an episode about the Lewis Flat School which is now the Adobe Deli!

One of the few higher end restaurants with good reputation, particularly for their french onion soup and steak. Adobe Deli is located in the middle of nowhere (~10miles outside of Deming...and of course..geographically..it's just middle of nowhere in the US..and..also NM!). Yet, the steak and the French Onion soup were quite good. It seemed some people stopped by here along their roadtrip..or.just for a nice hier end meal if they happened to be locals around here. For me, my Airbnb host couldn't recommend this place enough..so, of course, I obliged and checked this place out..despite me rarely eating beef/steak...and of gosh...being even rarer eater of French Onion soup. Both steaks and french onion soup are just something that don't pop up in my mind a lot when I think of something to eat. I got a ribeye (which came with 2 sides, to which i picked a side salad and a french onion soup). The service was fast despite being prime dinner time. I supposed the Friday evening/night I stopped by, they weren't super slammed yet..so I lucked out with quick service. I thought the French Onion soup was good..upon tasting them with first few spoons. I hadn't had good French Onion soup forever..and could tell upon eating it that it definitely ranked one of the top French Onion soups among what I had had previously elsewhere. The steak was tender and cooked well. I ordered medium rare, so some middle of strak pieces were still pinkish/on a rare side. The meat tasted pretty good and so tender that i avtually quite enjoyed it. I would say it was worth eating for sure (despite me not being a big meat eater at all even). Overall, I would give this place 4 stars. The serving was ok. They didn't have the filet mignon that I wanted, so I ended up with a ribeye steak ($34.50) jnstead. Drinks were served in beer pong red plastic cups..and utensils were kindda left bae on a table..so i felt it could have been a bit more professional. That said, the setting of an old scboop house which collected lots of old memorabilia and taxidermy was sort of interesting. You could just freely browse around the building seeing interesting things/collection they got from the past. A good place to sit/relax and enjoy a good treat after a long, tiring week for sure.

*** After 10 hours driving - what's an 8 miles detour on a cold January night? My wife was skeptical ... but now rates this as one of her top ten dining experiences...and she's dined all over the world. The experience is unique overall, when considering the location, whimsical barn-like dining environment, menu etc. Food was good ... service from Arrow and her teammates was wonderful. Attentive, warm, accommodating, genuine and polite. Great staff! A very nice way for us to cap off a few weeks in Baja and San Diego over the holidays.

Locals know it of course but if Deming is your half way point and you need a road break and need a drink and little bite then this is your hotel bar. The other hotels do not have a bar. This place has a few TVs to watch sports on as well as a TouchTunes jukebox. The food is okay and if you're hungry then it's good. No elevated menu here. Although the food is not spectacular, the beer is cold and the company and service is great. Stacy the bartender has been there over 20 years she's a local gal with an abundance of info. and can tell you about the area. Definitely a little hidden gem and I'd prefer not to advertise so it's not jam packed next time I pop in but y'all need some signage man! It would be much easier to find especially when it's past 8 pm and you can't find another place in Deming that's open.
