Avoid like the plague unless you can spend half the day for service and food. We mentioned we had to be out by a certain reasonable time. We had allotted plenty of time for lunch, and all they serve are salads and sandwiches anyway, so we figured an hour and ten minutes would be plenty of time, especially after the noon rush on a weekday. We waited to be seated, about 15 minutes, not bad, but were then ignored once we were seated. I had to flag down a waitress to ask if we were in her section. We weren't, though she was waiting on the able right next to us (who had been seated AFTER we had), so we had to wait some more. Not so much as a glass of water. We still had 35 minutes left until our appointment, but that was finally when we were informed that it would take 30 minutes to get 2 salads. We left and ate Chex mix in the car, serenaded by a chortling raven in a huge old cottonwood tree. We made it to our appointment on time, but we will never recommend the restaurant. The table next to us was sat after us and they had eaten and left before our food ever arrived. Ordered an appetizer and the salsa was nothing but jalapeños...so hot but no flavor. Ordered a burger with salad as the side and the cucumbers were so bitter you couldn't eat them. The Aloha burger had zero flavor, the pineapple and Avocado in the burger were so bland. I would've asked for something else but didn't want to wait an additional 45 min for the kitchen to make another burger. We did bring up the slow service and were told it was because we ordered burgers. We came here after looking at the reviews and were a little hesitant but wow! This place has ambiance, service and excellent breakfast food. Not sure what people expect when they come to a restaurant but I am impressed and definitely will visit again. I had the chorizo and eggs to keep it real southwest and to continue on my "when in rome" Pursuit while visiting New Mexico. It was served with a tortilla and beans, I'm from Tucson Arizona so I was not a fan of the beans, not refried and the tortilla was not the best either but like I said I'm spoiled. Overall really amazing spot for where it's located, I would not have expected silver city to have a hip and trendy breakfast place but it absolutely did with adobe spring cafe. Our last meal here before our trip back home and this little cute place certainly did not disappoint us!! Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated! Our drink orders came super quickly! My husband and I both had the iced tea, which was very good, tasted homemade and brewed! The menu was fairly simple and had a variety to choose from to chicken, fish to beef tips and grilled pork ribeye. I had the Garlic herb & wine grilled chicken with some mash potatoes (brown gravy), Chile verde rice, while my husband opted for the chicken tenders with Chile verde rice, french fries and white gravy for dipping both reduced portion ( for those with smaller appetite ) The portions and quality were very good for both of our entrees that we paid for! My chicken was super tender and well seasoned, mash potatoes were homemade with some red potato skins, both gravies were excellent and smooth, but the main star dish we both feel in love with was the chile verde rice! The rice was very unique and HOW CAN YOU COME TO NEW MEXICO AND NOT HAVE GREEN CHILE IN YOUR FOOD!!! Although it was spicer than we would have wanted, it was addicting and delicious! Both the front girl and our waiter were very sweet and attentive! Great customer service! We didn't have to wait very long to get our bill either! New location in downtown. The building is loud. Conversations echo and are amplified. The outside patio is nice, except for the flies. Dinner Time. Appetizer: sampler plate- fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, zucchini & onion rings. BIG plate of food but BLAND. Salads sort of wilted like leftover from lunch and the balsamic vinaigrette had separated in the little plastic cup. First time in Silver City, NM, and Yelp did a good job of stearing us to another great local business fire a really good breakfast. I think this was called the 'classic' breakfast, and add you can see, it came with a lot of bacon. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the restaurant only had Tabasco for a hot sauce option. I must say though that they do have a great salsa ($0.75 for a side of it) that worked out, though my normal Tapatio or Chalula was what I was hoping for. And you'll gain a cozy atmosphere with servers that truly care about how your meal ends up. There's a few items on the menu that are go to items for breakfast. If you have a big appetite try to Hangry Burger. And make sure you are hungry because not only do they do a hand padded burger, but they slap crispy bacon a full egg and hash browns on top of it. It's one of those entrees that you'll take a picture of and send it to your buddy. And it's so tall that you might not be able to get your mouth around it. Next on that list has to be their country fried steak. Unlike many country fried steaks where they're tough to eat or you can barely cut through them the one they'll bring to your table here doesn't even require a knife. That's one heck of a barometer for how good a meal is especially one like country fried steak. While in Silver City for the day we stopped by for a late lunch. While traveling and eating I try to visit local eateries and get the "flavor" of the area. It's located downtown which is nice. The inside was very roomy with not many patrons on a Tuesday mid day. I was excited that the menu had lots of options, all sounded great. The service was friendly but the food was slow. We waited about 25-30 minutes for our food and not given any bread or chips while we wait. Once the food arrived it was decent. The sweet potato fries were great, the salad lacked a crunch, and the half sandwich was the best. Not sure I will go back. It seemed to be an average spot with nothing memorable or unique. As a traveler, you get the feeling that this is a local favorite; so much so the lack of maintenance to the scuffed walls, dirty baseboards, missing light fixtures, missing artwork and cluttered hosting stations goes unnoticed. I had the Hawaiian burger. It was pretty good; you could taste the Angus beef, ham and pineapple. However I did not taste the pomegranate balsamic reduction, which was one reason why I ordered it. I was told they don't use a lot because it's imported and it is expensive. I love the option for sweet potato fries if you didn't want regular fries.
