I booked an appointment online for the Special New Client Full Set- Promotional Pricing (2D/4D Light Volume New Set) with lash removal. Since I was the first appointment of the day (10am), Nicole was actually slightly late. But it's ok because I honestly had the best experience. Everything was clean and fresh. She asked me which style I preferred and got right to work. The removal plus new lashes took less than an hour - I barely got a nap in haha. They looked great and lasted more than three weeks (basically four). Adore is located on the 8th floor of 280 Madison. It's a very safe location with a door man. Her studio is clean, well air-conditioned. Upon my first appointment, I was able to talk through my lash situation with Nicole and the look I wanted. She does a great job with customization to your eye shape by asking for length, shape, and even texture/type of lash! Afterwards, she provides you with a spoolie and instructions on care! I came into get wispy 2D/4D volume set- they had an amazing first time client deal so I wanted to take advantage of it before my trip. The place was very clean and welcoming, and I was glad I was able to come in last minute, literally the day before I left for Cancun. However, I was not very satisfied with my lash job overall. At first when I left, my lashes were beautiful, and I absolutely loved how they were done. However, at night time, I noticed that whenever I tried to close my eyes to sleep, my eyes would hurt so badly. I then noticed that the lashes were almost sagging my natural lashes so much that it was just painful to even close my eyes. I tried brushing my lashes, and was hoping I could just sleep it off, especially since my flight was super early the next day. However, throughout my 5 day vacation, my lashes (while they looked great) continued to bother me every time I blinked or closed my eyes, and I didn't really have the option to get them removed. I was more careless with my lashes (i.e, using oil based cleansers, etc) and continued to brush them up in hopes that some lash loss will help with the discomfort. Unfortunately, only by the last day of my vacation were my eyes not as painful to close. I do not believe it was an allergic reaction (I have no allergies, eyes were not swollen, antihistamines did not solve the issue), and believe it was more a lash application technical issue. Overall, while aesthetically they delivered and I liked the look of my lashes, it was just an overall uncomfortable experience throughout my trip. Had I been in NYC after I got it done, I would have gone back to get it removed. read more

I visited Adore Lashes 3 weeks ago and I had the best experience ever! They were so gentle with my lashes and I'm truly impressed with the retention of them. Out of all the lash places I have visited in New York and Boston, this has got to be best! 1st time going. Told her exactly what I wanted, mink mixed length of 11,12, and 13. She then began to burn my eyes with glue. After suffering for an hour, the results were not even worth the pain. But I didn't want to argue. I just wanted to leave. I don't know if maybe she's unlicensed or what but she literally abused me and then just said "oh sorry ." I've never had this pain before. Torn on my experience... I had a great experience getting them done (I believe it was Nicole)- she was extremely gentle and the end result looked great. However, not even a week later more than half of them have fallen out. Even the day after I had several lashes falling off even just washing my face. I've gotten lashes done elsewhere and have had them last a good 2.5-3 weeks before I noticed a lot of them had fallen out. On the bright side, it definitely was very gentle on my lashes and I haven't seen many of my regular lashes fall out. I had a Groupon for the classic premium mink and even upgraded so all in all spent around $100- for that price I would expect more. After calling the studio, they said because it was over 3 days the 1 week fill would cost $35. read more

Her space is clean and she is efficient and highly skilled without cutting out any details. I opted to do the 100 piece classic and was in and out within exactly an hour, no burning eyes or anything (I actually fell asleep the entire duration, that's how gentle she is lol). After my first visit, I talked to Nicole about my concerns. I switched to classic lashes (rather than hybrid) and opted for a lighter style, and with extension lengths a bit shorter towards the ends of my eyes and this has worked a lot better for me. To this day I've become a regular customer. I really appreciate how Nicole happily caters to my requests, including the little things. Her quality workmanship, positive attitude, customer service, and salon prices combined are impressive and hard to beat. I'm pretty happy with my 2d/4d volume lash set. They also honored the discount code I had on Groupon in store because I did not know which voucher to purchase. I walked in with leftover extensions from a previous place and the tech/owner evaluated what was left and advised me to go for the volume set for some extra oomph. The lash removal was painless and quick and the application took a bit over an hour. She was very gentle and I felt a few pokes here and there but nothing actually hurt. My lashes are one week in now and some did fall out but it's still looking pretty good. I've always also had problems with extensions barely showing and for the first time, I feel like I can finally SEE the lashes. I get extensions so it's obvious they're extensions and I do not like the very soft short natural look and the volume set really did it for me!
