I'm extremely disappointed with both the outcome of my service and, more importantly, how the situation was handled by the owner. The stylist who initially worked on my hair was kind and well-intentioned, but unfortunately my bangs were cut significantly shorter than discussed. When the owner stepped in to "fix" the issue, my hair became even more uneven. What were meant to be soft, wispy bangs turned into multiple inconsistent lengths sticking out on the top of my head. After nearly 45 minutes, it was only partially styled enough to sit in place. When I calmly explained that something still felt off, the owner responded defensively and implied the mistake was my fault, asking why I didn't tell the stylist to stop "once it was good." As a client, I rely on a professional's expertise--I am not expected to recognize or stop a bad cut before it's already done. The interaction became uncomfortable and disrespectful. Instead of empathy or accountability, I was met with attitude and excuses, including that I was a "last-minute" client and that she was busy with other customers. I had called ahead to confirm availability before coming in. Overbooking or being busy is a management issue and does not justify rudeness or lack of professionalism. Mistakes can happen in any service industry. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, this experience lacked professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy. I wouldn't have felt nearly as upset if the situation had been addressed with respect and care rather than blame. UPDATE: Went to another salon that kindly did their best to fix my hair. Going to have to wait for MONTHS to get the desired results I wanted to begin with. Seriously still can't believe how I was treated at Adore Salon especially with how the world is rn. I just found my favorite hair spot. I was in need of a hair cut in time for the lunar new year and my birthday and called several places which were booked and did not take walk ins. Once I called Adore Salon, I was told there is an opening and fate happened. I came in not sure what i even wanted as I am quite indecisive, and Mia was able to be upfront and direct with me and also had amazing suggestions. She is very considerate and gentle with my hair and I appreciate that she did NOT comment on how little I care for my hair. I was very self conscious when I went to one in Ktown and the hair person said "what happened...?" as if I was a hot mess. Mia did not rush me and it was overall relaxing and the best experience. She gave me a hair cut and also styled my hair and I felt absolutely beautiful, I look forward to coming back. The location is in a convenient plaza which tons of parking. Last minute thing, I needed a haircut. Came to this salon for the first time. The stylist asked how I wanted my hair cut. I showed her a picture. She chopped my hair off. Either she can't see or ignored the picture. I now have to walk around with an ugly haircut she gave me. My haircut looks nothing like the picture I uploaded. The massage was relaxing, but didn't really do anything for me. Purchased a groupon for a 1-hour Swedish massage, called and made an appointment right away, pretty easy. Came on day of, and they took me to a nice dark room on the side of the salon. Meditation music was playing in the background. My massage lady was very nice, but she was simply touching my skin with oil/lotion, there was zero pressure, its was like someone applying lotion to my body. I went in because I was sore, and needed someone to work out my kinked muscles, and after an hour, there was no difference what-so-ever. I felt like it was a waste of time and money. This review is for Rosa. I've never written a negative review in my life. I went in requesting dark brown subtle balayage and what I received were streaky purple/red highlights. When I expressed my concerns at the time of the appt I was told that chocolate brown has red tones and that's why my hair color is red. She did not care I wasn't happy with my results. When I did get a chance to look closer I texted her and let her know that the hair color was not acceptable for almost $160 with tip. She continued to argue saying it was what I asked for, but did offer to put toner over it, saying that depending on what color I'd like there would be an additional charge, it took multiple texts and calls to get her to commit to a time and when she finally did I was asked to come "right now". I sat in the chair and she began asking about what I wanted. After I showed her what I wanted, she told me that I needed to full balayage package, which I upgraded to for an extra $90. She began on my hair and it was silent for most of the time, which was a little awkward. Eventually she began talking to me, which made it a little better. Eh, I thought I was happy with my service but the keratin treatment seemed to be weak and didnt do anything to defrizz my hair or smooth it out like it was supposed to. But what really upsets me is my haircut.
