TLDR: the best service i've ever received at a bike shop. highly recommended. Will only be going here moving forward. I just bought a new track bike after my beloved custom build I've been riding for 13 years got stolen and I needed to get the wheels trued. I tried going to Bike Alley first but they said they couldnt help me. I'd gone there twice before and they never seemed like they cared or knew much about bikes, it's just a job for them. So I tried the next closest place, Adrenaline. And the difference was night and day. Tim was extremely knowledgable and accommodating. A true bike junky like myself. We geeked out for 30 minutes both when I dropped off the wheels and picked them up. And he went above and beyond in the job. He charged me only for a basic true, but really went to town, taking off the wheels and tires, and spending extra time to make them as good as he could. Also for some reason one of the tubes popped after he put it back on but he replaced it for free without even mentioning it until I brought up the different looking stem. He also fixed my seat post/position at no extra charge. I will say, i am extremely surprised and confused to see the negative reviews, particularly the claims of "racism". As a white guy maybe im just oblivious, but I think a more likely explanation for any feeling of "judgement" or "discrimination" stems from the fact that this is a high end bike shop built by serious bike enthusiasts for serious bike enthusiasts. I guess it's possible that customers with more casual or budget friendly needs, irrespective of their race or social class, might not excite and activate the staff in the same way. I'm of course only speculating, but will say that AS serious bike enthusiast of high end bikes: the level of service, attention, and passion for bikes of Tim and the team is unparalleled in my 15 years of riding. I will only be going to Adrenaline moving forward and recommending them to all my fellow bike nerds in the area! read more

This is a great high-end shop and these guys know their stuff. I thought they were friendly, knowledgeable, not pushy at all, and really helped me upgrade my ride. They took my 11 yr. old Bianchi and made it much, much better. I felt very welcomed and thought the level of service was superlative. Store is small but "mighty". Lots of high-end frames, groupsets and fully loaded bikes stacked in there. They can be busy at times but my work was done quickly and earlier than they estimated. However, if you are looking for a low-end shop that specializes in E-bikes, this is probably not the place for you (try Orange Cyclery). This is my favorite bike shop now. I want to say Jim the owner being in this business over 40+ has nothing but Positive to say and very well communication owner I had ever met. However, his manger Raffaelle, He will called all complaints as, "It Happens". Here are the things define as "It Happens": I had them do my high end bike components transfer here are the thing happens: 1. I instructed them to keep all original boxes. At the end they didn't. 2. When I got my newly built bike back grease fingers prints all over. 3. And I had to drive back to get all the extra parts that they didn't need. After 1st Rides: 1. My seat post was loose. 2. Front chain ring drop to outside 3. BB not riding smooth. 4. The Bike fit adjustment according to paper is not set correctly. 5. Brake pads make loud noise due to it got contaminated with brake oil when they transfer the breaks and I had to replace pads myself. *hints dirt grease bike return. 6. Front break lines shifting noise. this seem to go away when I took it back to shop. Took it back into shop, Raffaelle, didn't even feel anything wrong just saying "it happens" And he told me just ride some more...didn't even offer to have the bike check out for any failure or wrong installation. When i got back to my house, I decided to check the bike myself then I found the following: I contacted Rotor Tech Support they told me my Rotor Crankset spacer was not place in proper, they put spacers between, the crank arm and chain ring, as well as drive side which cause the chain drop according to Rotor tech support. 2. BB - first they installed the BB wrong side then press it back out and re-installed because I can see a ring marking on drive side on my brand new $5,500 frame. That damaged my $140 ceramic bearing spin like a sand paper. Now I have ordered new set ceramic bearing and I will take it to another Bike Shop to have it done correctly because I am no long trust that Adrenaline bike shop for any repair it is very scary and unprofessional work because if anything they re not familiar with they will not read any instructions. *Hints don't read instructions to keep my boxes... However, I did emailed to the Owner Jim, but I didn't get any response so I decided to post this so everyone should know my first experience about the SERVICE Department's workmanship and customer service just not acceptable. My experience was not great. My biggest concern was shipping cross-country, and my two-stars are for great packaging and safe shipment. However, communication was poor. Why have a 'contact' link if you're not going to respond? My first email question was answered, but the next two were not. I called on a Saturday and fortunately caught the owner, and he did answer my questions. As I said earlier, the bike arrived and was well packaged. However, I could not locate the stem bolt. I called and the young man said it should be with the stem cover bag, which it was not. He actually suggested I could buy one from a local shop, not something I was going to try after spending $4K for a new bike. Turns out, the bolt was in a different bag so I sent an email apologizing but asking a question regarding the tires. No response. Sent another to the owner. No response. After two weeks, I gave up. My opinion is once they sell a bike, they have zero interest in follow-up. And don't bother with contact via their site, they just don't respond. So yes, I have a nice bike, but no, I would not buy again. read more

Wow reading the other comments about racism is shocking. I stopped by I my way home because I needed an inner tube and they were open. I was greeted and asked if I needed help. I bought several batteries for my trip computers, and an inner tube, a storage bag, and a multi tool. Went for $10 and spent near $100. Had I felt any of the ill will from the staff I would have left. DV was the sales person. We chatted about where I ride. Since I live in LA county he shared with me several great rides in the OC. He was friendly and approachable. The place is a bit small but it's stocked. Some high end bikes so I am sure this place caters to some purist. But my wife and I felt welcomed. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I searched the web for a particular bike that I wanted and nobody in Southern California seems to have it except for this place. Extremely rude cold and mean staff. I was looking to purchase a road bike and was trying to negotiate payments towards bike and instead of working with me worked against me. Then when I finally came up with half the Deposit they had told me they sold the bike to someone who "paid in full" despite the fact I was calling for 2 weeks. Made me feel incompetent and inferior. I came into Adrenaline Bike shop looking for a new road bike. It'd been years since I rode on the regular (a Fuji fixed gear was my primary mode of transportation in college), and the work-at-home Covid lifestyle was starting to take a toll on my body. Knowing the fun I had, and generally how great I felt in the days I did ride, I knew getting a nice bike would be the best way to motivate me to get my act together. I wanted to build up my legs, get fit, and get happy. I had been eyeing a couple bikes, but I kept going back to the beautiful celeste Bianchis, and I knew Adrenaline bikes had the best stock in the area after doing some online research and making some calls. I drove from Pasadena--that speaks to the selection they have. Jim was extremely helpful in making sure I got the right frame size, and told me everything I needed to know to get started. This guy has been in the business forever, and it's obvious he pays attention to detail. The only thing I was sad about was they didn't have any store branded jerseys for sale :) I ended up purchasing a *beautiful* Oltre Xr3, and have been riding it almost every day since. Just today I brought in the bike for an adjustment, and Rafael helped me out. He answered all of my questions, gave me good pointers and helped me learn just what I needed to know to make progress on this cycling journey of mine. That guy is good--he made sure one of the less senior techs followed proper procedure, answered the phone, and even helped another customer with a quick question while checking out my bike--all at the same time. These guys are pros, they're busy, they know what they're talking about. If they're busy, be patient. I rode my bike once I got home and DAMN it felt great. PS: All the BS i read about needing to be white or whatever--i'm definitely not. I was about to buy a 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Ritchey Logic, their advertising clearly offered two options to buy: frameset or full bike. So I opted for the frameset. After calling and providing all the information requested, later I received a call saying they can't sell frameset but only full bike. So my wife and I decided to go out for a nice lunch and afterwards look for a Mountain bike for myself. I googled bike shops in the area and decided to check this place out. When we first walked in I was greeted by a gentleman who initiated his interaction with me with, "The cheapest mountain bikes we have are $2000. Everything else is sold out." Sure no problem, i said, thats fine. He literally had four mountain bikes to choose from the rest were road bikes. He didn't ask me anything about my riding style or what my intended use was going to be for, he simply identified the bikes with prices rather than features, as many or most other bike shops I have gone to do. We turned around after looking at the selection, said thank you and walked out. I quickly looked over at my wife and said, "do we look cheap?" as we step into our Mercedes SUV. Overall I just got a shitty vibe from this guy who seemed to look like an older gentleman who may run this bike shop or if he doesn't I hope he gets proper training. I had cash in hand and ready to make a purchase but not after this persons initial approach. I don't know if that's this shops tactic of weeding out people on a budget or the rift raft but totally unnecessary. read more

Update: Still my favorite bike shop. Got a fitting from Jesse about 7 months ago and the difference was astounding. Felt so much better on my bike and most of the aches and pains I used to get disappeared. Came in today to get a steel cyclocross Bianchi, and once again, a fantastic experience. These guys really know their stuff and do everything to take care of you. Jesse set my new cross bike to match my riding style on my old roadie. He even spent the time to move over some of my upgraded parts. He also managed to give my gf some a few tips on more confident riding. Still loving this shop. read more

I just recently started cycling/racing this year & I found this shop on Yelp. Adrenaline Bikes stocks quite a bit of high end products, frames, complete bikes and custom builds. The staff members are very knowledgeable and are a cool group of guys. Recently, I purchased some Rolf Ares 8 and Fulcrum wheel sets and also got a bike fit from them. Zach and Jesse are my go-to guys there...they are very helpful and will take the time to explain the differences in the wheels, parts, frames, etc. to make sure you make educated choice. Also, they have a Saturday ride that starts from the shop and the route changes weekly. Definitely check this place out! read more

Highly accessible, knowledgeable bike builders who exceeded my expectations. Gavin has an excellent design sensibility and was generous with his time in answering all of my questions. Before finding this shop, I had attempted for weeks to source a complete bike suited for long treks and off road. In the midst of a pandemic, my local shops were all out, and the 'net was devoid of options at my frame size. The custom build route seemed dicey based on scarcity of components and the limited time left in the summer season. However, when I found Adrenaline's site, I noted their menu of custom builds closely matched the setup I had in mind for my desired frame, and so I gave them a call. I did not expect that I would be riding my new bicycle such a short time later. My local shops, while great, would not have come close to this level of service, especially for such a reasonable price. Shipping from coast to coast was painless, and the bike arrived in mint condition. Extra credit is well deserved for making this happen seamlessly in the midst of a pandemic and an economic crash. They're just as excited to patch your punctured tube and put your wheel back together as they are to obsess over -- and I'm not making this up -- whether your matte fork decals should be replaced with the glossy versions to better match the finish on your bike frame. There are only a few places I'm be comfortable dropping my bikes off for service. This is one of them. If I lived anywhere in SoCal this would be my LBS. Emphatically recommended. Never have I ever felt so much regret for trying to support a local bike shop. Make sure you know EVERYTHING about bicycles, or else that dude with the messenger cap who looks like he never grew out of his Fugazi phase will school you in the most arrogant way. They were selling two Gatorskin tires for $119.98 to be exact, when they are available for $68 for a PAIR on the CONTINENTAL TIRE WEBSITE, talk about highway robbery! I read in previous comments about claims that this establishment is racist, maybe they are, maybe they aren't. What I can tell you is they are definitely ARROGANT, rude, and highly unhelpful. If you want to give money to an establishment, and feel ridiculed on your way out, Adrenaline Bike Shop is the place for you! I highly doubt any of these 5-star reviews are genuine, they are most likely fake and left by friends of the owners, because giving them anything over a 2-star rating would be generous. read more

So, I bought a bike from them and had it shipped to me. The bike was a good price, put together well, rides great, but... Bike arrived with a dime-sized chip taken out of the paint. The response? Basically, a shrug, and "it wasn't us". It wasn't me. It wasn't UPS. They're sending me touch up paint. They seem like nice people, I'd shop there if I was local. I was looking for a shop to do a custom bike build and goggled upon this shop. They had the bike (Surly ECR) I wanted and several suggested packages. I typically build my own bike, but after pricing out the retail cost to build, it wasn't much more than the quote received. Zachary was great from the start working with me on the requested components. In the instances that the part was not readily available, he worked with me on alternatives. I have to tip my hat to these guys. It's alot of work to build a bike from working with the manufacturers, keeping the clients happy and putting the bikes together. This is by far my favorite local bike store they have a huge selection of parts behind the case of wonders, everything from stems to cranksets. They also have a nice selection of neo retro steel bikes for sell, and a selection of modern carbon bikes as well. If your looking for something a little more exotic, they have that as well, with a wall covered in titanium framesers to make a grown man weep.
