I would not recommend this business; if I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my bicycle in for repairs, and they completely ruined my brakes and tires. I had to return just a week later because their botched work nearly caused me an injury. When I asked them to take responsibility and fix the damage they caused, they denied any wrongdoing and refused to address the issue. Furthermore, they were dishonest; after I explicitly asked them to repair the damage, they claimed they would 'take care of it,' but they lied and did nothing. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about your bicycle and want to avoid being scammed. Their prices are absurd and a complete ripoff. This is a poorly run, incompetent, and unethical business. The owner is also rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. You are much better off taking your bicycle elsewhere--to a shop that can actually fix it rather than destroy it. read more

This shop is not much of a repair shop for your bikes! Bring them elsewhere. When I came to get my cannondale scalpel serviced, there was no bike mechanic available when I came, so they had me wait a week before he came in to work. They held my bike for the entire week and said they would call me back if the mechanic could service it and they never did. I almost forgot about my bike but remembered to call them back when a week had already passed with 0 responses from them. When I called them, they said they made zero progress on the bike and claimed they couldn't do the service so I had to pick it up. The man on the phone didn't even know why the mechanic couldn't do it, so the whole place was just being super unprofessional. I ended up taking my bike a few streets away to The Cyclist and they did a full service, having it ready in 3 days. read more

I bought a very nice but used Santa Cruz MTB for my son's birthday. I got a good deal but knew it needed some repairs. I asked Christian to do a complete tune up and let me know if the bike needed anything else. The bike needed new brakes, a rotor and chain. The total price of all those items was the same cost as the actual parts if I were to buy them on Amazon or eBay. There was never an upsell or fear tactic for me to buy more or upgrade anything. The service and value were both outstanding. I can't get the rest of the bikes in the house down there quick enough. read more

If I could give BikeHouse more than 5 stars, I would! BikeHouse sells all kinds of high quality bikes. We actually didn't buy a bike here, so my review is mainly for the A+ customer service! Long story short, we got our bike seat and rod stolen about a year ago. After getting numerous rods that never fit, we decided to go to a bike shop to get it properly measured. We stumbled upon BikeHouse due to how close it was to where we live and the reviews on yelp. We came in with the bike and Cristian, the owner, was so kind and helpful! More customers started coming in and we didn't want to get in the way of him selling bikes, so we said we would come back. Cristian insisted on measuring the bike and would call us when he gets a quote for a replacement. We got a call back while we were still in the parking lot and got a replacement very quickly. Solid shop! After two local shops told me my rear shock "was fine" I wasn't convinced as it was making strange noises when cycling. Took it to Christian and Colin and they recommended a full rebuild. It definitely needed it. They told me it would be 3 days, but had it rebuilt and back together by the end of the same day! I drove in from Burbank hoping for excellent service and they did not disappoint. These guys are amazing riders, and amazing technicians. They know everything about your bike! Worth the 40 mile drive to support a shop with rad guys that spend the money on tools and the time learning to do work no one else wants to. I would not reccomend this place for servicing your bike. They charge the most absurd prices, expecting entitled newport riders to buy brand new parts from them instead fixing them. Their mechanic also doesn't have the best repair knowledge and won't be able to fix anything past the simplest things like changing your inner tube or bleeding your brakes. I was especially disappointed when they refused to help me upgrade my derailleur and gear set, despite me bringing all the necessary parts, simply because their mechanic didn't know how to do it. read more

It a good sign when you walk in the front door and young man with big smile says "Hi, my name is Collin, what can I do for you?"! It's no big secret that I've had some pretty bad experiences in big shops in the local area. This shop was recommended to me by a friend that tends to know his way around bikes, so I thought I would give it a try. Having just got back from riding Mammoth for a week my bike was in pretty bad shape. Like most shops, I figured they would have it for a week plus. Not the situation here, my bike was cranked out in less then 24-hours! When they wheeled my bike out, I told them it was someone else's bike because my bike looked brand new again! Brakes and shifting were in tip top shape. I will most definitely be sending all of my friends to this shop for maintenance from now on. They also have a pretty serious selection of parts and gear. Prices seem to be in line. I bought myself a new POC helmet. They also had a great selection of tires, something that has been difficult to get through the pandemic. Many people don't know how hard these small shops are struggling through these difficult times. While you may be able to find some parts a bit cheaper on Amazon or eBay, you can't wheel you bike into Amazon to have it dialed in like a pro. If we don't keep shops like this open, we won't have people around to fix our bikes! The owner Christian is an absolute gem. He's extremely knowledgeable about gear from a first hand perspective (he's a beast on a mountain bike). Not to mention his incredibly warm smile. Word on the street is, Collin is a genius when it comes to tuning suspension. I've been to every shop in town and this is the only place I will take my bike from now on. read more

This shop is great, has a very friendly atmosphere and the dude at front desk is great. Collin, one of the mechanics there is extremely helpful and seems to know his stuff about mountain bikes, road bikes etc. Dude is just oozing with knowledge and his expertise level I would say from a scale from 1-10 a 10 out of 10. He helped me with one of my bike's fork that only a very few would (Cannondale Lefty Carbon PBR). I would highly recommend this shop if you're in need of some issues and their retail shop for goods such as helmets, tools, parts, clothing, helmets are quite fair as well. I bought two bike lights here. I needed help with one because I charged it twice overnight and it wouldn't turn on. The second had a unique usb port attached for charging that didn't seem to work in any of my charging stations. It was not easy to use and I wasn't happy with it. The first employee who I believe his name is Christian wasn't accommodating at all. I was hoping to return the items but because I opened them a return was out of the question. Luckily the second employee was able to help me with the first light. The second however I didn't want because of the way you had to charge it and they wouldn't return it even though I had evzry part and piece of the packaging.
